Review - Pureology Thickening Mist 4.2 oz

Pureology Pure Volume Thickening Mist lets you experience soft, touchable thickness with this featherlight ZeroAlcohol (TM) spray that infuses hair with weightless volume, natural texture and radiant shine while keeping colour brilliant. Enhanced with exclusive volumizing technology and certified organic botanicals, hair appears visibly thicker, lustrous and healthy with long-lasting fullness. 4.2 oz
Retail Price: $20.99
Your Cost: $18.05

This Thickening Mist is a miracle worker. It is a very light spray and you really do not need much to do the job. It does give the appearance of more volume while leaving the hair very soft with no stiffness that you might expect. In addition it really does turn up the shine on your hair. You are getting a body builder with lots of shine to it -- you cannot go wrong. I would rate this right up there with my top 5 or 6 body builders. The price is very reasonable for what you are getting. However, once I again I did find it on EBay and got it for a very good price. So check around before spending your hard-earned cash. You might save a bit by shopping around.

Review - Citre Shine Shine Mist

Pure liquid shine formulated with shine enhancing citrus extracts, vitamins, silicones and a UV protectant. Alcohol free formula controls flyaways and unruly frizz. Protects hair against damage caused by heat styling and environmental stress. Helps realign the cuticle, tame frizz and treat split ends for a soft, smooth finish.

In my opinion no bathroom closet is complete without at least one bottle of Citre Shine Shine Mist. You don't have to use it everyday (but you could) but it should just be there for when you need that extra little luster. This Shine Mist really works, it is better than many much more expensive products. It leaves you smelling lightly citrusy, with a great shine to your hair. A couple of spritz after I finish styling, and my hair looks beautiful. I have very straight blond hair, so I don't have an huge issue with frizz, but those extra flyaways really stay where they are supposed to be with this awesome little bottle. AND the best part, I have yet to make my hair look greasy and gross by using too much (which I am very good at with this kind of hair product). I am very happy to spend under $5 on this bottle of shine that will without a doubt last me for at least a couple of months!

Review - PeaceKeeper Lip Gloss in Eternal Equity

Blondes and Dirty Blondes LOVE our new Eternal Equity Lip Gloss. Also a great color for women with auburn and orange hair tones. The color is a great sheer lip gloss over any lipstick color for women of all nationalities though the sheer dusty rose color will get lost on olive or brown skin tones. What will be noticeable is a shiny glossiness to the lips.

Oh My God, I have fallen head-over-heals in love with this company. Like, I feel emotional and sort of teary when I read their policies and mission statement. I love all of their employees, and I want to work for them! Ok I know, that sounds extreme but seriously just go to their site and look around a little bit. I am positive that every one of you out there will love them too. Even if their product sucked I would purchase from them. Luckily, their product is as awesome as their idea. I was given a Lip Gloss in Eternal Equity, an absolutely beautiful dusty rose (see color description above and.... um, isn't it cool that they included that!!!!) color that really is just perfect for my blond pink/pale complection. It feels so nice on my lips, I even find that if my lips are chapped I grab for this lip gloss instead of any of my trusty chap sticks. It is 75% organic, completely natural, never tested on animals, and 100% of their distributable profits to charity! No kidding, it is what is called an "all benefit" company. personally I have never heard of something so wonderful for our planet. Please, please, please go check them out, for all of us!

Review - Hollybeth's Flourish Roll-on Perfume

Roll on your wrists and behind your ears for an exhilarating blend of soft scents that is subtly sensual, earthy and floral. 100% essential oils, Jojoba Oil, and Vitamin E. Ingredients: Made with Rose Absolute Precious Oil (Rosa Damascena), Jasmine Absolute Oil (Jasminum Grandiflorum), and an exclusive blend of Organic Certified Essential Oils & Vitamin E.
Net weight .35fl oz. $45.00

I enjoy trying new scents and Flourish is very different from my usual picks. I usually go for the clean and fresh fragrances. This is a very soft and almost musky scent. I do get the earthy and floral that they mention. However, I just know I like it and since I am not an expert I thought I would include the ingredients so that you can see they are all natural, pure, and they combine to make a very lovely scent. You'll notice that it contains 100% essential oils and from my experience the oils tend to last longer than perfumes with alcohol in many instances. This goes on lightly and stays light. If you want a slightly heavier scent -- just put a second dab on and you can achieve that effect. It does last -- I found that I really did not have to refresh it that often at all. I think the cost is about the average for a very good perfume that is 100% essential oils.

Review - Bath & Body Sea Island Cotton Body Lotion

Pure white cotton flows in fresh ocean air. Soft, Clean, Heavenly, Domestic,
Fragrant, everyday body lotion leaves skin soft, smooth, and beautifully healthy.Fragrance-Top Notes: Fresh Bright Floral Accord, Clean Cotton Accord, Drenched Air Accord, Fresh Linen Effect, Wet Green Pear, Blood Orange, Tangerine Fragrance Mid Notes: White Muguet, Crisp Orange Flower, Watery Cyclamen, White Freesia, Cotton Blossom Headspace, Dewy Jasmine Fragrance Base Notes: Clean Powder, White Musk, Sandalwood, Vanilla Absolute SIZE: 8 oz $9.50

Recently I have been having some very good luck with my Bath & Body selections. I think everyone has found some of their products to have a phony or fake tone to their fragrances. Some might be too perfumy. Most are very good products with excellent scents or fragrances to them. Sea Island Cotton Body Lotion is one of the better ones. It is a very fresh, clean smelling lotion and it leaves your skin in very good condition. It is absorbed pretty readily by my skin which,in turn, feels very soft and silky right away. The cost is average for a body lotion and you can definitely get many other products in the same scent if you want to. As I said, it is a very pleasant, refreshing scent and it is not overbearing. It will not fight with your cologne selection for the day. I actually find that it can be enhanced by one of my all time favorites, Clean Perfume.

Review - Grampa's Patchouli Soap

Patchouli Oil first became known in Britain about 1820 (Queen Victoria 1819-1901) when used to impregnate Paisley shawls that Indian weavers made for export. They were not able to sell them if not scented with Patchouli. This is a fascinating fragrance enjoying tremendous popularity in the 1860's and said to improve with age. Aloe Vera has a even longer history--going back to Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and other ancient people. It is considered to have many benefits and today is widely used for cosmetic application. This combination makes for a Great (Grandma) Soap! Charming lavender-hued oval bar. All purpose: Face, hands, body. An engaging, fascinating fragrance combined with beneficial Aloe Vera.

So, I am a huge sucker for a good bar of patchouli scented soap. I love the spicy tingle in the morning, and I find it more moisturizing than some of the other floral soaps you can find. This Grampa's Soap Co. is a sigh of relief both from my happily cleansed and moisturized skin, but also from my wallet! For only $2.15 (on sale) you can get a 3.25oz bar, that believe me, will last a good long time. I have a sample size and I have been using it about a week, and it doesn't look a bit smaller! The scent is distinctly subtle for a patchouli smell, which is ok for me, but great for people who might not like really spicy soaps as much. It is more like a soft aloe with just the tiniest hint of patchouli, just delicious. It is all natural, and has been around for years. They have plenty of other soap scents too, if your not a patchouli gal.

Review - skinnyskinny Tea Tree & Mint Lip Balm

It's 100% organic. It goes on nice, smooth and light. It's not at all waxy or oily. It's not too hard and not too soft. It's just right. It has a matte finish, so it's perfect for men and women who want to protect and moisturize their lips but don't want the high-shine that goes along with most lip balms. This balm stays put, which means that you don't need to keep reapplying every few minutes.

I know, I totally know what your thinking "Tea Tree in a lip balm... Yuck!" But no, the people over at skinnyskinny are definitely on the right track with this organic, natural, completely awesome little stick of Balm! The company's policies on waste and recycling are to be commended, and they try to use fair trade ingredients. Um, yeah... I think all companies should be this contentious. BUT... The really important part is how the Balm works, right? Well I have to tell you I have been using it on and off for about a week now, and I love it. The mint is mild and refreshing, and the Tea Tree is hardly noticable smell wise, it does it's job in the curing cracks and chappedness department, though. It is made with all of these wonderful moisture-giving oils and butters so your skin feels so soft, and protected, and It really stays put. Just the solution for super-chapped winter lips!

Review - derma e Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Crème

This rich, soothing crème with unlimited uses combines 5% Tea Tree Oil and 3,000 I.U. of Vitamin E with other synergistic herbs, vitamins and natural oils. Its antiseptic properties make it perfect to treat many conditions including blemishes, fungal infections, sunburn, dry skin, rashes, and dermatitis. It soothes itchy bug bites and also works as a natural insect repellent. This remarkable formula effectively treats a variety of skin problems and provides fast soothing relief for dry, itchy skin. It may be used as a daily moisturizing crème for normal to dry skin types, and will help protect against future skin problems. 4oz. Regular Price $12.50

I have a confession to make. I got a sample of this derma e Tea Tree and E Antiseptic Crème in the sample pack I ordered from the web site. I sat there and said -- why the heck did they send that -- what would I ever use it for??? I tossed it aside. I was reading the October 27th edition of Woman's World and page 14 was headed 'Embarassing health woes - solved!'. It went on to describe a yeast infection found under your breasts which has a vinegary odor when it gets warm and moist (nice way of saying -- when you sweat there). Yikes, I have that and I have been using soap and water several times a day and powder to help it stay dry. It suggested applying Tea Tree Oil twice a day and it will usually clear up the yeast infection within 48 hours. I thought to myself -- gee, I think one of the samples has Tea Tree in it and I found it. Sure enough it did. I used it -- lo and behold -- it worked. It did not even take the 48 hours. It left the skin feeling soft and smooth and the scent is certainly better than a vinegary odor. Now I just need to order the full size and the cost is certainly worth it. Hey, don't just go by me and say -- I don't have that problem. Look at the various uses they suggest -- it is a valuable asset to have on hand for many problems.

Review - Zia Skin Basics Everyday Moisturizer

Everyday Moisturizer is a lightweight, fragrance-free moisturizer that penetrates completely to maintain skin's moisture balance. Rice bran oil, shea butter and aloe preserve softness and hydration without feeling greasy or heavy.

Finally the end of my trilogy! If you are a constant reader you will know that I have been using the Zia Organics Cleanser, Toner, and Face Cream for a while now, with great results. My skin looks to die for, and I haven't broken out since I started using these products. I have normal to dry skin, very few breakouts, and generally easy to manage skin, though I can get dry in the cooler weather. This Everyday Moisturizer is great, I feel hydrated but not weighted down. The only problem is when you first put it on it sort of burns, and smells distinctly of cinnamon. I just glanced at the ingredients list and it does not list cinnamon, but I have a pretty good nose, and I had a few other people smell my face to make sure I wasn't crazy.... The sensation is not so uncomfortable that I would discontinue use, especially because of how nice my face looks, but people with very sensitive skin might need to be cautious. Also the Everyday Moisturizer does not have an SPF, but they do offer a cream that has one. All in all this was the one part of the process that I was not crazy about, but the results of all three really are great. You should definitely give this line a try if you (and you should) want a great, affordable natural product that gets results. Just be aware that it might have unexpected sensations.

Review - Ocean Potion Xtreme Spray Gel, SPF 15

Ocean Potion® Protective Spray Gel SPF 15 is a non-greasy lotion that provides moderate protection against a sunburn. $6.99
.
I am used to using a higher SPF but was happy to give this a whirl especially since it comes equipped with a bronzer! Who doesn’t love a 2 for 1 product? This has a scent that is more perfumy than sunscreeny. It had an initial creamy orange scent then dries down to a more light flowery scent with a touch of amber to it. The best feature is the bronze color so you can see where you are putting it. There isn’t a touch of greasiness; it dries down leaving my skin feeling powdery soft. The bronzer is light in color so if you a pale one then this will give your skin a slight bronze look. I found that the bronzer doesn’t have a lot of lasting power, it seems like it’s there then gone the next day. For the short money this is well worth the minimal investment. And for the plain and simple fact that it works and provides your skin with SPF 15 so you have some protection... I am also totally on board with the fact that there isn’t any greasy feeling also!

Review - PerriconeMD Super Berry With Acai Dietary Supplement Powder

A supplement that provides superior antioxidant protection. $60
.
What can I say! Dr Perricone has another winner on his hands; you will be amazed at the results that this little packet delivers... I have sadly finished my 30 packets and wish that I could afford to buy more but at this time I can’t. If you have followed Dr. Perricone or read his books you know he is the real deal. I have all of his books and try to maintain a healthy balanced lifestyle but of course slip up on occasion... This is such an easy way to give your body an extra boost to keep your skin healthy from the inside out. OK, if you have ever mixed up a powdered fruit drink you know none of them are really that pigmented, this added to water makes for a deep, rich cranberry color, so my tip drink through a straw and keep away from the teeth, this is surely a stainer! The taste is like a blueberry pomegranate flavor, I enjoyed every last drop... I think I started to notice a little more brightness in about a week and this has remained since then. Seriously, if this is in your budget, I can’t recommend enough! Thank you, Dr. Perricone!!

Review - HollyBeth Lavender Hand Cream

Sweet and rich, this fragrant hand cream provides a relaxing effect to help uplift your spirits and reduce emotional stress. $22
.
If you like Lavender you will love this, the scent is full bodied but not perfumy. It has a very natural scent. I found it to be a relaxing scent that worked well on my hands. When I first got it, I did have to use an orange stick to stir it up; it had begun to separate so I had no choice. This is thick and rich and perfect for the hands and feet! I use it for both. My hands are dry right now and washing them at work all the time doesn’t help. They can be downright raw when you touch paper throughout the day and the dryness follows! I found that a smidge of this cream instantly revitalized my hands and soothed them too. I really enjoy this hand cream and based upon the amount that I use, it’s well worth the $$... Thanks HollyBeth!!

Sheba says:
I have been using the HollyBeth Marigold & Sweet Basil Shea Butter Hand Cream which seems to work very well for me. Hollybeth describes it as 'Inspired by visits to India and Thailand, this earthy cream conjures exotic fragrances and invigorating images to keep you rejuvenated and relaxed'. I have to say I really enjoyed the difference in fragrance from my usual ones. It is more exotic as they say. It is not overpowering at all. It leaves your hands so fresh, soft, smooth and hydrated. Shea Butter seems to really work for me whenever it is an ingredient. My skin loves it and reacts very well to it. I have mentioned many times that my dog is a licker so I wash my hands constantly and need to apply cream much more often than most users would. This cream works and it is at a pretty reasonable cost for the product you get. City Slicker mentioned that a smidge does the job -- she is so right. You will definitely get your money's worth.

Review - Zia Skin Basics Sea Tonic Rosewater and Aloe Toner

Maximize your moisturizer with this alcohol-free toning mist. Sea Tonic Rosewater and Aloe Toner uses natural phospholipids to hydrate skin, creating a moisture reservoir that enhances the effect of moisturizers. Aloe vera and rosewater help soothe and heal parched or delicate skin.

This toner is wonderful, I mean most toners smell good and feel nice, but this one is like heaven. The smell is just beautiful, slightly rosy but green from the aloe. I don't pick up the scent of Ylang Ylang at all, which is good, because regardless of what your Bath and Body Works "ylang ylang" scented lotion smelled like pure ylang ylang aromatherapy oil is very strong and sort of medicinal smelling (I work in an all natural perfume oil bar). Ylang ylang oil, however, is supposed to be amazing for skin health and let me tell you my skin looks fantastic. Zia Organics reccomends that you use this toner in conjunction with their moisturizing cream and facial cleanser, and not to use other products while you are using theirs. (You will notice the reviews for the other two parts yesterday and tomorrow.) So that is what I did. I have to say the Trio is awesome, and affordable. If you are into natural products, but don't have huge budget for beauty products, I would try Zia Organics, they are affordable and the bottles are massive so they will last forever. What a great find.

Review- Plum Island Soap Co. Body Butter

Rich, thick, decadent and wonderful for thirsty skin. Made with a pure olive oil and beeswax base to help seal in moisture for prolonged protection. Scented with pure essential oils imported from all over the world for a truly 100% gentle and natural product. 11 yummy scents. $16.75; 6 oz.

This body butter is definitely creamy and my skin does drink it up. I did a comparison by putting it on a part of the back of my hand, sort of a side-by-side test. I absolutely could see a difference in smoothness and texture between the moisturized part and the dry part. I was given samples of orange and lemon lime. When I first tried them I thought a ten-year-old girl (and younger) would love that they smelled like the hard candies of the same flavor. But once the top note disappears (about two minutes), both scents settle down and become quite pleasant. It is creamy, but not so heavy that you feel you just slathered on grease. Body butter . . . I mean, really, who doesn’t love it? And everything I’ve tried from Plum Island, I’ve been pleased with.
.
CitySlicker Says:
I was lucky enough to get 2 samples of this incredible body butter. I have Pink Grapefruit & Ocean Mist. I can’t decide which I like better, I am instantly drawn to the delicious grapefruit. It is slightly tangy but sweet too. It’s amazing! On the other hand, Ocean mist is a clean crisp scent that isn’t perfumy but pure on my skin. The samples I have are the size of lip balm tubs so I have been using sparingly on the areas that need it most. I found that elbows, knees and my ankles are in the most need – OOOh, I forgot my hands too! A little goes a long way and this totally sinks into my skin leaving behind soft, smooth skin that I am not embarrassed to show off. The change in seasons has brought very dry skin for me and I am prepared to handle it! I find that my body parts are moisturized throughout the day and never flaky anymore... One other tip, this works great on your feet after a good scrub with fluffy socks. I will wear over night to wake and find super soft and moisturized feet! I really love this line! Thanks Plum Island!

Sheba says:
I have been using my Plum Island Soap Co. Body Butter in Ocean Mist. The only problem was the fact that there was no label other than 'Ocean Mist' so I had no idea who made this wonderful butter. I tried it on my hands first and fell in love with it so I went on to elbows, etc. I wasn't sure if it was hand cream or body cream and I wanted to find out. It made my decision that it is just terrific as a hand cream or a body butter. I decided to go to the various Web sites for products we are testing and discovered that Plum Island Soap Co. is the guilty party. Believe me, this is a very good guilty. This has such a wonderful fresh fragrance -- so clean and invigorating. However, if you prefer another scent -- just check them out. I have discovered they have many wonderful fragrances to choose from. The only problem you might have is trying to select just one. So go ahead, pick a few. The cost is minimal and your body will thank you by feeling so wonderful. It is a good investment for your skin.

review - Zia Skin Basics Fresh Cleansing Gel

Fresh Cleansing Gel is a non-foaming cleanser that refreshes and purifies skin with mineral-rich sea algae. Natural sugars remove excess oil, makeup and surface impurities without stripping skin's moisture content. Fresh Cleansing Gel is mild, soap-free, excellent for sensitive skin and also works wonderfully as a shaving gel. Also suitable for rosacea.

So, I have been using this cleanser for a while and it has just taken me forever to wrap my head around it. First off, I will say that using the trio of products (all the reviews will follow) from Zia Organics has created a beautiful glow to my skin. I haven't had a pimple since I started using it, I usually don't get pimples too often, but almost always when I begin a completely foreign regiment like this one. I love the company: a relatively affordable line of natural, certified organic products, not tested on animals, no harsh chemicals, skin care that is very user friendly. You can even go to their website and have a personal consult for your specific skin type. All of these things I personally feel we should demand in our products now that we have that option. But... of course there has to be a but, right? This cleanser is unlike any other cleanser I have ever used. It doesn't foam at all. It just doesn't have any kind of soap in it, which of course is so gentle and must be nourishing (because my skin looks and feels great) but it is different. They say that it takes off makeup and oils with the sugars themselves, which it must because the cotton ball test was clear. It is just unfamiliar, so I had to get used to it. It really is basically a gel that you massage on your face for a minute then rinse off. It is quite thick, so you shouldn't use more than a dime size drop or it will be too much to work with, and I find that it is easiest to get it off with a washcloth. Finally, I would say, I highly recommend this line and this product but just know it might take some getting used to!

Review- HollyBeth Candle – Amor

Sweet overtones of Lavender essential oil aide relaxation and soothe away stress while Rose Geranium balances the nervous system and helps to relive anxiety. HollyBeth’s AMOR Lavender & Rose Geranium Candle is hand-poured and contains no petroleum products, synthetic fragrances, boosters or colorants. 5% of sales donated to Atlanta Pet Rescue. - $20; 3 oz.

It’s always a good thing when a product is natural-based, doesn’t pollute, lasts, and in this case, contributes to a good cause. The scent is pleasing and I always love the feeling a burning candle gives me. However . . . three ounces of candle came out to two and one-quarter inches in the glass container, with a two-inch diameter across the circle that narrows in circumference towards the bottom of the glass. I wish I’d timed it more carefully, because I got busy every time I lit it and don’t recall how much burn-time I got. The recommendation on the box it came in states not to burn it once you get down to one-half inch. The candle was pleasing and performed as promised. As to whether you decide to buy it, I suggest you do the math to see how you feel about it; yet, if 100,000 people bought a candle, that would give the Atlanta Pet Rescue $100,000 to work with. Your call.

Review - HollyBeth's Hand-poured All Natural Soy Candle

LIVE Rosemary-Peppermint
Rosemary Oil, best known for its robust woodsy bouquet, helps to clear the mind and revive the body, aiding concentration and invigorating the senses. Peppermint Oil is one of the oldest medicines recorded. The cool, minty-sweet scent refreshes and stimulates, helping to eliminate any tension and stress. The uplifting blend is sure to excite the senses while promoting a peaceful environment. Net weight 3 oz ----- $20.00

I do love my candles and this HollyBeth's LIVE Rosemary-Peppermint has soared to the top ten of my favorites. Soy candles are so clean burning that it is hard to believe I burned so many other ones before discovering them. This candle certainly lasts and lasts. I have been burning it off and on for over a week and there is still quite a bit left. The scent is really refreshing and I found it to be very calming for me. It quickly spreads it's wonderful aroma throughout my small home and just swallows the stale air that has been trapped without windows being open for a while. It has been a bit too cool to open them for a week or so and I miss that fresh air. Well, this candle handles that situation for me. In no time at all my place is very refreshed and filled with its lively scent. The price is right where most of your good soy candles fall and you will get your money's worth. When I originally posted my review I did not realize that 5% of sales go to Atlanta Pet Rescue and I think it is definitely worth mentioning. So I am adding that information to my review now. Thanks, Joyce for highlighting that important fact!!

Review - Avon Foot Works Refreshing Citrus Foot Lotion

BRAND NEW, FRESH FROM AVON, FOOT WORKS REFRESHING CITRUS FOOT CREAM. 3.4 FL. OZ. THIS CONDITIONS AND REVITALIZES FEET WITH CITRUS-SCENTED, COOLING MIX OF NICE INGREDIENTS. IT QUICKLY ABSORBS. IT COOLS AND SOOTHES HOT, TIRED FEET Price Varies - usually under $5.00

Here I go again with another old stand-by. I cannot locate it on the Avon website but it is on EBay at very good prices. I think Avon offers it seasonally -- not year round. This would not be a stand-by if it did not work very well. It is quickly absorbed and it does leave your feet feeling fresh and soft. The scent is citrus as stated in its name and that is such a fresh scent. I love citrus scent in just about anything and this is no exception. It really is refreshing on your feet and does have a softening effect on my rough calluses. The price is very good for such a hard working product. Your feet will reward you for using it -- they feel comfortable and refreshed.

Review- Ocean Potion Sport Xtreme Sunblock Lotion SPF 50

Designed for the sport enthusiast's active lifestyle. SPORT POTION SPF-50 bonds to your skin on contact, absorbs quickly and replenishes the skin with Vitamins A, C, & E. This unique formula is very water resistant, oil free, paba free, dry, non-greasy and fragrance free. - $8.99; 8 Fl. Oz.

I’m not a sports enthusiast by any stretch of the imagination; I walk nearly everywhere I go and use the stairs—that’s enough for me. And now that the cool temps of autumn have arrived here, I’m covered. This means my ability to test this product as very water and sweat resistant is limited to either wearing it in the shower (not likely, as I take baths) or working up a sweat (also not likely, unless I engage in an energetic “romp”—hmmm . . .well, if it’s in the interest of “science” and blogging . . .). However, I’m using it as a body lotion. Based on this, I can tell you I like that it does moisturize the skin even though it’s oil-free (great for not messing up good fabrics), does give my skin a smoother look and feel, and it is fragrance-free but not totally scent-free . . . and the scent, though slightly summertime, is pleasant. If you want to wear something scented over it, it won’t interfere. I never thought to use a sunblock as a moisturizer before, but that’s usually because of that at-the-pool scent they generally have. I feel and smell as though I used talcum powder, without the mess or sneezing.

Review - True Blue® Spa Shea Cashmere™ Hand Cream

Wrap your hands in cashmere. Infused with both cashmere extract and rich shea butter, this ultra-moisturizing hand cream glides on sensually to soothe and nourish. Non-greasy, it absorbs quickly, leaving hands supremely silky and lightly fragranced with a creamy vanilla scent that's both fresh and comforting. Domestic. Revolutionary spa formula combines rich, moisturizing African shea butter with luxurious cashmere extract to envelop skin in supreme silky softness.
Not tested on animals SIZE: 2.5 fl oz/73 mL $14.50

I got a very generous sample of this hand cream and it is definitely a keeper. It is absorbed as you apply it -- it is that fast -- or my skin is that dry. I love the scent which they say is a creamy vanilla. It is not your usual vanilla - it is a softer one and definitely not overpowering. It just smells delicious. My hands feel so good with this cream. It leaves them feeling soft, smooth and very silky. There is no feel of lotion left on them -- just the beautiful smoothness. I have had problems with some scents that I have gotten at Bath and Body Shops but this is not one of them. It is not a perfume- like fragrance. It is a very soft vanilla. Perhaps it is the cashmere extract that gives you the softness, but whatever it is -- this cream really does the job.

Review- Ocean Potion Anti-Aging Face Moisturizer SPF 30 with Retinol

Clean formula glides on for quick absorption while enlisting Seaplant Extracts and Anti-Oxidant Vitamins A, C, & E that aid in the reduction of cell damaging free radicals for younger looking skin. Oil Free, Paba Free, “Cruelty Free” (No Animal Testing) - $7.99; 3 fl.oz.

Notice the product title says Moisturizer. I took this literally and began to use it as a one. I do make it the second layer after using another moisturizer I blogged about recently, but I want to say I can see and feel the difference in smoother texture and little lines reduction. Also notice it has Retinol in it, a known anti-aging ingredient. And, you don’t have to worry about smelling like a sun care product; this lotion smells yummy . . . a scent you wouldn’t mind crawling into bed with or sitting next to in close quarters. When you consider what some sunblocks cost, the way they smell, and don't necessaryily have such lovely ingredients, or do more than block rays, it's amazing how reasonably this is priced.

Review - Derma E Vanilla Bean Cleansing Mousse

Vanilla Bean Cleansing Mousse, Age-Defying Facial Formula 6oz 15.50

I love to share my thoughts on great products! This is one for sure; it’s probably one of the most gentle cleansers I have used. It’s a creamy white and froths into a rich lather that incredibly isn’t irritating to my eyes. It does a great job of removing all of my makeup minus mascara. When I am done and towel dry I am left with soft smooth skin that feels hydrated, I am not rushing to apply moisturizer either, it doesn’t strip my skin in the slightest. I am saving my favorite attribute till the end, the scent! It’s a luscious vanilla that isn’t perfumy! It’s to die for, it’ smells like you just split a vanilla bean... I can’t get enough of it. Also as you can see this comes with a pump top, I have found that I need less than ½ of a pump to cleanse my entire face. I highly recommend all that are seeking a gentle, real deal cleanser to give this a try... The coolest thing is they offer a free sampler pack on their site; you get a bunch of samples for only $4.95 to cover packaging and shipping. This is an offer all should look into. I am excited for more, more more!

Sheba says:

Thanks for the great tip - I went onto the site and ordered the sampler pack for $4.95. I got it and it includes a $5.00 coupon towards a future purchase so the samples will end up costing nothing. I actually got a couple of this Derma E Vanilla Bean Cleansing Mousse in my little stack of samples. City Slicker did not exaggerate at all -- this cleanser is incredible. It is one of the most gentle cleansers I have used while it works so well. It leaves your skin so fresh, clean and hydrated. The scent is definitely among the best vanillas I have used. It is a real vanilla rather than a perfume-type scent. It is a very fresh fragrance which actually leaves you with just a tinge of it when you are done and it will dissipate pretty quickly. Using this Cleansing Mousse is almost like your own private little spa treatment for your face. Your face will love you for using it.

Review - Avon Nail Experts Smudge Fixer

Fix your nails. color mistakes in seconds!
Unique brush instantly smoothes away smudges and streaks , for a perfectly smooth manicure. Price varies upon seller -- very reasonable.

There is not much to say about this product except it REALLY DOES WORK. If you are rushing your nails or just smudge the polish a bit -- this fixes it. Just keep it handy when doing your nails. It is so much easier and less time consuming than removing the smudged polish and starting over. Funny thing is that I cannot find it on Avon's Web site. I bought it through one of their representatives on sale. However, I found it on EBay for very good prices, even considering s + h. Perhaps it is a discontinued product but, if so, that is their mistake. It is a very handy to have on hand -- just in case.

Review - Emerge Anti-Aging Skin Cleanser

Anti-Aging Cream CleanserAge Perfect Cleansing Cream, enriched with Vitamin C and Matrixyl 3000, is formulated to gently cleanse, smooth and invigorate mature skin. It eliminates impurities and leaves skin feeling smooth and energized. Leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth. Promotes healthier and younger-looking skin. Firms, tones and improves texture of the skin.
$30.00

I have been using this cleansing cream for just over a week. Gee, I thought that within a week I would be looking 20 something!!!! Haha. Seriously, it does a very nice job of cleaning and smoothing my face. I don't think I look any younger but I haven't given up yet!! I do think my face has improved texture and seems a bit firmer but that could be due to me looking in the mirror without my glasses. Even with my glasses on I do think I see some improvement in my skin tone and texture. I will continue with this for a while to see if it continues to improve or just stay with the improvement I now see. I am happy with Emerge Anti-Aging Skin Cleanser as there are some good results. Just do not expect to look like you had a Botox treatment. . . in other words, don't expect too much.

Review- Vichy Purete Thermale 3 in 1 Cleanser

This convenient 3 in 1 cleanser includes cleansing milk, toning lotion and eye make-up remover in a lightweight, non-greasy formula. Good for all but oily or acne prone skin
Results:
All traces of makeup are removed from face and eyes while skin is cleansed and toned effectively in one simple step. Suitable for the most sensitive skin, it leaves skin clean, fresh, and extremely soft.

When I originally bought this I didn't read the directions (as usual) and thought it was a rinse off. But it's not. You put a quarter-sized amount in your hand and rub it all over your face including your eye area then cotton ball or tissue it off. It's the best way I know how to clean my face when it's so dry it's peeling. It's very gentle and you can totally see all the gunk that comes off your face when you wipe it off. It has a bit of trouble with some mascaras so that you have to use it twice, but afterwards your face is smooth and clean. It does feel like you are wearing a lotion after you wipe it off, so like it says above, I'd stay away from it if I were the oily or acne prone type, but for those of us with dry skin, especially those of you who like to go out in the freezing cold, this is a really gentle cleansing option.

Review - NEXXUS Styling Gel Pure Control Stylizer

STYLING GEL PURE CONTROL STYLIZER delivers volume, shine and a long lasting flexible hold that bounces back into place after combing or brushing. This weightless formula is ideal for creating natural looking hair styles, providing excellent body and fullness without buildup or flaking. Blends into wet or dry hair for achieving unique design effects. Size : 150 ml / 5 Fl.Oz.
$7.99

I swear I should work for this Company. It seems that every new one of their products I try -- I love. This Styling Gel is no exception. It has it right -- it does feel sticky when you apply it or when you brush/comb your hair. It does what it says it will do and that is adds the appearance of some volume, some shine and some hold without feeling like it is even in your hair. Nexxus just keeps working for me so I will continue to use it and try some more of their products. The price for this is very reasonable -- however, I did get it on EBay for less than above even with s + h.

EXPEEL™ is washable and lasts for 50 to 70 treatments - a terrific value. For all skin and ethnic types. One 5.5 x 8” square cloth per pillow box. $6.99 SRP.

Actually I was not going to tell anyone I bought one of these -- I thought I was a sucker. I was wrong -- this really does what it says it is going to do. You simply soak it in warm water and use whatever facial cleanser you want with it. Gently wash your face and you can feel it cleaning and exfoliating. It is not like sandpaper but it is not a smooth cloth. I swear I can feel my pores being cleaned out and blackheads are not in sight. It is definitely worth the investment. The web site gives you locations where you can purchase this and if there is not one close to you --- perhaps a call to one to see if they will send it by mail. This little cloth is dynamite -- I have to get myself a supply of them. They can be washed and used for months according to the information provided.

Review - Hemlock Springs Cottage Handmade Soap

Our handmade soaps are lovely and fragrant, and with care will last for several weeks if not longer! We use fresh ingredients in formulating our products, including things like unrefined shea butter, fragrant and undeodorized cocoa butter, and skin-loving olive oil. Our soaps and lotions and other sundries are created with a mind towards pampering not only your skin, but indulging your senses with scent and color.
Our handmade soaps may contain the following: olive oil, coconut oil, palm oil, tallow, shea butter, cocoa butter, castor oil, palm kernal flakes, soybean oil. $5.50

I just happened upon these soaps at a Pumpkin Festival I went to in New Hampshire. Actually, the table I bought the soap at had many more scents than are listed on the site. Hey, maybe they were selling the older ones to make room for newer ones. At any rate I picked up 'Clove', 'Hampton Beach', 'Margarita', and 'Pumpkin Spice'. Each one is more heavenly smelling than the last one. Hampton Beach is ocean scented while Margarita certainly smelled more like Key Lime Pie to me. The ingredients are all natural and the soaps lather up nicely and leave you feeling so clean and fresh. The scent does stay with you for a little while although it is not strong at all once you are through with the soap. My skin feels nice and soft and nourished and moisturized. I really do like this soap and I am sure I will not get bored with the many scents avaiable. The cost is just about what you would expect for a bar of handmade soap and I believe I got my money's worth.

Review- Exceptionnel de Chanel Mascara

Intense Volume and Curl Mascara. Captivating volume and audacious curves give lashes the fullest advantage - with clump-free, smudge-proof separation. Innovative six-sided brush ensures dramatic results. $28

It's happened yet again, I've fallen in love with a product I'll have to break my piggy bank to afford. Exceptionnel de Chanel Mascara is what it says- Exceptional. Instead of a bristle brush or rubber bristles this mascara gives you a brush that is made up of six rows of combs. Now I've tried other comb mascaras and didn't like them, but this is somehow different. Be warned- this is not for those of you who are going for the "natural lash" look. This gives you bold, beautifully separated, voluminous lashes. My lashes generally don't curl, but there is a little curling going on with this mascara. The brush allows you to easily get every little lash in the corners. I have it in black (Smoky Noir), but it also comes in brown, dark blue and violet. If you've got the extra cash and you want dramatic yet well defined lashes, then you've got to check this out. Oh, and I've had no contact lens troubles with this mascara. It looks like I'll be eyeing up that piggy bank for my new "must have".

Review - Natures Embrace Organics Four Step Full Product Pack

Four Step Full Product Pack Four Steps to Beautiful Skin in 21 days includes:Facial Cleanser, Facial Toner Healing Face Cream, Facial Mask

So, I have been using this four step facial care line for just under the recommended 21 days... and I already have to rave about the results. I feel beautiful, my skin is blemish free and completely radiant. When I started using this line I was under some significant stress at work, and my skin was taking a beating as a result. I had a few blemishes, and I just looked rather worn out and dull. It is unusual for my normal to dry skin to really get pimples, so I was happy to try anything to fight it off. I began with the mud mask, followed by the cleanser, toner and then cream. The mud mask is only used twice a week, but I used the last trio every morning and evening since I received it about 2 weeks ago. The mud mask is slightly drying for me, but when used in conjunction with the cream and the toner the effects were really just momentary. The only complaint I had was the smell, all of them smell really natural, not that I'm complaining about that, but I did feel a bit overwhelmed by the smell of the mud mask every time I used it. The cleanser has a very light smell, and reminded me of Castille Soap. The toner is gorgeous, and smells slightly of rose geranium, it will be your favorite part of the process. The cream was not my favorite, although it works really well, and leaves your skin looking to die for, it is rather thick and you really feel like your wearing it. It also smells distinctly of patchouli, not a smell I dislike but one I would rather my face did not smell of. Luckily, the smell fades pretty quickly. The cream is, I would think, a little too thick for my normal skin during the summer time, but during the Autumn it is just enough moisture. The company is very cool, and all of the products are 100% natural, vegan, and gluten free, which is a breath of fresh air in my book. If you have been looking for a truly superior Raw, Organic product line I would definitely recommend Nature's Embrace Organics.

Joyce says:

I’m wearing the mask as I write this. The scent my co-blogger mentioned is to me like quality, organic soy or tamari sauce, which makes me think of how beneficial these are for the body when ingested. So, my thoughts are the mask is doing something good. Of course, the fact that my skin looks and feels really good provides evidence the products perform. The mask goes on in a thin layer which means the mess of rinsing off a thicker mask doesn’t happen. I like the fact that each product has a unique scent based on ingredients included for a specific purpose. The only thing I’d suggest is that two creams be offered: regular and for more mature or drier skin. My skin tends to like a little extra. I also really appreciate that the facial cream can be used under and around the eyes. One thing about the toner . . . the instructions say to spritz it on and wait 20 minutes before using the cream. I can go 2 minutes then my skin says, “Lube me now!” So, I do. A funny thing happened on the second day I used this line. It was a Saturday. I’d bathed, used the entire line, applied mineral powder, and took a much-needed nap about two hours later. When I woke and saw myself in the mirror, I was glowing. I’m serious. It was as though my face was illuminated from inside. I must have stared at my face for several minutes thinking, “Wow.”

Sheba says:

I am close to the 21 days, but I feel qualified enough to thoroughly endorse the Natures Embrace Organics Four Step Full Product Pack wholeheartedly. I am not your typical user for Organic products -- my skin usually craves all the chemical ingredients that are not 'best' for it. Perhaps, that is because I have used those products for so long that it is addicted to them. Anyway, this package delivers. My skin looks glowing -- just as Joyce described!! I will defer on the scent descriptions as I just cannot truly say what they remind me of-- only that they were not bad. I actually liked them all. I do not really usually like Masks but this is so thin and is removed so easily that I honestly love it. The cleanser is incredible (did a separate review for it). The toner is non-drying and does tone!! It contains all good things for the skin and my skin did soak it up even though it is used to the chemicals it usually gets. The cream is a bit thick but was immediately swallowed up by the skin and the results are truly amazing. Deedlejuse said it best--'to die for'. Something good for your skin that works miracles --it is worth the investment. The site offers a 35% introductory discount on your first purchase -- quite a savings. Even without the discount -- you are getting 4 products that WORK for your money.

CitySlicker Says:
I have only been using this for 14 days so I am a week shy of the recommended 21 days. I started everything out by stopping the use of my other cleansers, moisturizer (day), toner & masks. I begin the regime by cleansing and moving onto the mud mask. I found it to be nice & loose so it was very easy to apply, not like some that are thick like a mud frosting. I left it on longer than I should have and began to resemble a crumbling crypt keeper. I found that a little warm water on a soft cloth was all I needed to see that my skin looked flush and fresh. I totally think that this mask helped slough all the dullness away and made my skin very smooth and soft.
I moved right onto the toner. I am not a rosy gal but can appreciate the soothing feeling of this lightly scented spritz. My gauge for a good toner is the proof on the pad and I swept over my face to find that this does pick up the excess oil and deposits hydration in it's place. I enjoy using this and have been doing so morning and night since trying it. I don't really notice the scent now so if you are scent conscious don't worry you become immune it and don't notice it after a few days..
I really like the cleanser. It's no nonsense, gets all of my makeup off, is very gentle and non drying.. a combination that many have attempted but few prevail in! I do notice a very faint scent. This is my favorite item of the 4 products and a little goes a long way.
Moving on, the cream is a heavier formula but exactly what my skin needs so no complaints from me. I enjoy using a product that brings an extra pop of moisturizing power. My skin has been a little dry from the weather so by the end of the day my makeup can look a little flaky. Since using the Nature's Embrace line I have had only good days without flaky. I even use the cream at night to help hold in the moisture. This line is lovely and obviously well thought out from people who not only sell the line but use it. I will continue to use until my products are scraped out of the containers! Thanks Nature's Embrace!

Hillary says:

I only got a few items from this line. The Mud Mask is one of them. I was a but skeptical putting it on because as it dried, it started feeling tight. My ultra-dry skin doesn't like tight. But I decided to stick it out for the 20 minutes and see what happened. I'm glad I did. After rubbing the mask off with warm water, my skin is glowing. I did need to moisturize after, but I would have had to do that under any circumstances. The only downside is the smell. It smells at first a little like vinegar, a smell that disappates as it dries. The smell is a small price to pay, however, for such a natural, organic product.

Maria Says:

As it turns out, my favorite item in this line is the toner, followed closely by the cleanser. I have really come to love those two items. I think I may have been far too spoiled by other masks I have used -- and not that I didn't like the mask, I just didn't love the mask. It does give a nice glow though, I, like Hillary above, had to moisturize after b/c my skin felt tight. The moisturizer is very light and would do me well on days that I don't need that extra something, but b/c my skin is so dry and especially since we are headed for colder/dryer weather, my skin needs the big guns as far as moisturization goes. I have said in other posts that for some reason I do better with chemicals than an all natural line - I don't know why. I almost wish it weren't so. However, I would say that this is a superior line of natural, organic products and I have plenty of friends who swear by organic that I could wholeheartedly endorse this line to. I think there are going to be a lot of people who will "embrace"' this line - and everything it stands for.

Review - Ocean Potion Suncare Face Potion

Zinc Oxide is known worldwide for its sun protection qualities. Face Potion SPF 45 goes on clear and protects the skin against both UVA & UVB sun rays. It is ideal for all outdoor activities.

Are you kidding me??? This is only $3.49! Honestly, I can't believe it. This is probably the best inexpensive face sunscreen I have ever seen. We all have used Zinc Oxide for our faces, like when we were kids and the white greasy stuff just wouldn't rub in the right way, or maybe that is how it was supposed to work.... but this is completely different. It is like whipped, seriously, the consistency is more like a whipped body cream than (shudder) Zinc. It rubs in instantly, and does not have a strong oder which, for me, is the best part. It isn't greasy either, again a huge bonus for this little miracle pot. I used it as recommended on my face, lips, ears, and neck and I didn't find that it tasted bad or was annoying in any way. I have to reiterate, only because I love this stuff, that this is without a doubt the best deal I have ever seen for a face sensitive sun cream. LOVE IT!

This is an add on to derma e's Microdermabrasion Scrub. It is very soothing and refreshing after exfoliating with the scrub. It sets your skin up for moisturizer. It's nice to have that extra layer of anti-oxidants on freshly exposed skin. It is cruelty-free (as are all derma e products), paraben free and eco-friendly. derma e's company is run entirely by wind power and they donate a portion of all of their profits to an outreach called the Paraguay Project. They make great products and they do good works. I am now a loyal derma e user.

Review- derma e Microdermabrasion Scrub

Immediately improve your skin's appearance using this formula's gentle but firm persuasive powers. This state-of-the-art scrub utilizes a crystal blend system to remove dead skin cells and absorb excess oils. Markedly diminishes the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, and retexturizes your skin, leaving it silky smooth.
Regular Price $32.50 Sale Price: $27.50

When I see the word "scrub" I want a good scrubbing. I don't want 1 scrubbing particle per oz. of cream. This microdermabrasion scrub was built for a scrub lover like myself. It thoroughly removes all traces of dull, flaky skin revealing a fresh, healthy glow. You use this scrub by putting a small amount on your face and rubbing in a circular motion for 3 minutes. By the end of those three minutes your skin is renewed. And it's not hard to rinse off either like some scrubs. They call it a salon skin treatment alternative and as someone who has had professional microdermabrasion I can say this is close if not as good as the real thing. This is one of the best exfoliants I've used.

Review- Dior Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Foundation

DiorSkin Forever Extreme Wear Flawless Makeup SPF 25. A silky, long-wearing liquid foundation with SPF 25. This luxurious foundation stays flawlessly smooth and looks naturally perfect in any environment. With two unique innovations: an exclusive nano-stretch network inspired by nano-textile technology to insure makeup will fit like a second skin and a unique hydra-gel moisture-stabilizing system, Dior takes smoothing, wear, and comfort to the ultimate extreme of beauty. Non-transfer and waterproof. $42

Honestly, I can't believe I haven't written about this foundation sooner! This is my absolute end-all, be-all product for my face. This foundation is the holy grail of foundations. It covers completely without looking like a mask and stays in place all day. It is so good that I often don't have to use concealer on imperfections that I would have to conceal with other foundations. Add on to that the fact that it has an SPF of 25 and you've got the ideal foundation. Keep in mind that this is medium to full coverage, so if you're used to a tinted moisturizer, this will afford more coverage, but it doesn't really add any weight. It's a little pricey, but it only takes 2 pumps to cover my whole face and I've been using the same bottle for months. Rather than meander through tons of drug store foundations, try this one and you'll find it's worth the investment.

Review - Nature's Embrace Organics Facial Toner

Restore your skin's natural luster with raw nutrients that will protect from dehydration, sun damage, aging and harsh chemicals. Softens fine lines and diminish pores while removing impurities and bacteria.

I'll say this first: this toner is fine. It's not a miracle product, but it's certainly not a bad one. Because I was using it with the facial cleanser, it's hard for me to tell how exactly effective it was, but it worked all right. I did have a packaging problem with this product, however. Now, normally, I don't remark on the labels, method of dispensation, etc. of the products we review unless they're really cute or useful. Unfortunately, in this case, the dispenser of this product is totally inappropriate. It's a spray bottle. For toner. Which, to me, seems very inefficient. You can't really apply it to a cotton ball without spritzing it a LOT of times, and if you spray it directly on your face, I feel like it's not really "working." The only other option is to take the cap off and apply it to a cotton ball, and then you're wrangling with the spray cap, and...it's just not pretty. While I don't have any major problems with the product itself, the packaging, in this case, would prevent me from buying it.

Amanda S. Says:

I actually really liked the way this product was dispensed in the spritz bottle. I normally, if I use a toner at all, use the kind you apply to a cotton ball by flipping it over onto the cotton. This is kind of messy since I'm generally messy anyway. I really liked the spray for that reason, and also because i felt like i wasn't using too much of the product and wasting it. I could spray a little on the cotton square and just rub it over my face. I can tell this bottle is going to last much longer than a regular toner. The best part was that it didn't dry out my skin but did give it a really clean feeling after also using the daily facial cleanser. I would definitely use this again.

Sheba says:
I see all the good features to the sprtiz dispenser like Amanda does. I find it very efficient. I like the toner for the following reasons: it is so easy to apply and it works!! You can see and feel the results in your skin. Your face is not dried out as with many toners. In fact, it is just the opposite -- your skin is so smooth and hydrated and feels so clean and fresh. Actually I used this in conjunction with the 4 product package and I did a review on the total package as well. If you love you skin and want to give it some serious care, here is one product that will do what it promises.

Maria says:
Hands down my favorite product in the line. Love this toner. It's fresh, clean, invigorating and you actually feel like you are really toning the skin. There's no dryness or tightness - just glowy, fresh, skin. It makes your face perk up if that makes sense. I actually spritz this over my make up too before I walk out the door and it gives my face a dewy, hydrated glow - this is a fine, fine product and one I would not even blink an eye to order again. I think you could use this toner any time anywhere, not just in the a.m. or p.m. after cleansing. I was already thinking of taking it with me the next time I travel for instant hydration and smoothing.

Review - Repairologie leave in treatment

Infuses the hair cuticle to help nourish and restore healthy texture and strengthens against damage.

This is my old standby. I believe I've actually been using it since high school (and I confess, that was some 18 years ago... wow that's weird to consider). Other leave in conditioners seem to (a) not work (b) make me a greaseball or (c) did i mention NOT WORK? But infusium has always worked for me, from the time of huge hairsprayed bangs and over moussed hair to using hot irons and curling irons way too much. It doesn't work absolute magic but I can tell, it prevents a lot of would-be damage, smells nice, and does the job. It's so cheap too, and a bottle seems to last me months and months and months. I've had the bottle I'm using now for well over a year. You just apply it to your towel dried hair, comb through, and do your business.

Review - Bic Soleil Citron Pivot Shavers

  • Citrus scented handles.
  • Lubricating strips with shea butter. 4 count - $5.99

  • Every time I shave my legs, it's not a fun time for me. Not that I cut myself, that rarely happens unless I'm half asleep or stupidly rushing my way through the business. But what I find is, I have fuzzy spots even when I'm thorough, and even worse, my skin gets sore and stingy, and even bumpy. I'm not a hairy person by any means, so I can't fathom why this happens. I've used other ridiculously expensive fancy shavers specifically for women, and I've had no luck. But these Bic Soleil Citron shavers are like magic on my legs. It's not often that I go telling my friends and female family members about razors of all things, but I've got to tell you, this is by far the best shaver I've ever used. I'm hooked and I will never use another unless (god forbid) they stop making them. I highly recommend these to sensitive girls out there.

Review - Dove Cream Oil Body Wash

Natural oil in 1/4 moisturizing cream. Here's a body wash that moisturizes your skin better than any regular body wash. Dove has embedded skin-loving natural oil in a rich cream - the result is the dreamy-creamy consistency of a cream with the silky-smooth skin feel from an oil. Intensely moisturizing, but sensationally lathering. Indulging to senses, but nourishing to skin. Rich in oil, but not oily. What a beautiful contradiction. Try Ultra Rich, if your skin just can't get enough. 10 oz. $5.99

This body wash really is tremendously moisturizing- I love it! After using it for a few days I had absolutely no reason to apply a lotion, my skin feels so silky smooth and hydrated. The shower cream is a really interesting texture, not oily at all, really more like a lotion but then it lathers amazingly well when you apply it to a shower pouf. I only used it this way, because it is my favorite way to use any kind of shower gel or cream. The smell of this body wash is heavenly, not overly perfumy, and not super floral. It is more woody and rich, which really added to my shower experience. For the price this body wash rocks!

    Sheba says:
This is one very hard working body wash. It does a luxurious job of cleansing while at the same time nourishing your skin with moisture. It is more like a lotion when you use it but fear not -- it does a fantastic job of lathering up and feeling great while cleaning. I think that feeling might be because your skin is drinking up the moisture. When you finish rinsing off you will love the feeling and the look to your skin. It actually saves you the step of putting on body cream after you shower. You won't need it when you use this Dove Cream Oil Body Wash. I trust Deedlejuse's description of the fragrance much better than mine -- as that is her business and she knows it. I love the scent and it is not overpowering at all. It is not a heavy scent like some body washes have. All in all, this is a top performer for the price. Most Dove products, including this Body Wash, frequently go on sale and you can often find coupons for them. You will feel that you have invested wisely even if you do have to pay the full price -- but check around first.
