Review- Murad Hydrate for Hope Set
From the Hydrate for Hope Set, Murad will donate 10% of the sales to City of Hope's breast and women's cancers research, treatment and education programs.
The three-piece Hydrate for Hope set (a limited-edition) from Murad includes a pink cosmetics bag, the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisture Eye Cream (.12 oz), and the Hydro-Dynamic Ultimate Moisturizer (1.7 oz). This is a super convenient set for travel or on-the-go purposes, yet the moisturizer comes in a nice full size. The eye cream is one of the smoothest creams I've tested. It really cools and soothes the eye area and amazingly conceals under eye bags and the effects of stress! I had the flu the past week, but you couldn't tell from this eye cream.
The moisturizer is very rich, nourishing and creamy and lasts throughout the day. It will definitely hydrate the skin and give a really smooth appearance - a bonus for those looking to soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles - this will do it.
The best part, of course, is that it supports a worthy cause by donating a portion of its proceeds to City of Hope's all cancer research for women, making the set a lovely gift for someone close to you or even a gift to yourself to help another!
Other ways to support Women's Cancer research: Murad will donate $1 for every like on Facebook (Murad), Follow @MuradCares or Tweet #Murad4Hope or post on Pinterest with #Murad4Hope.

Review - Derma E Tropical Solutions Anti- Aging Eye Creme
Enriched with Tamanu, Pomegranate, Green Tea and Acai, this antioxidant-rich formula will gently nourish and hydrate the delicate skin surrounding the eye area.Ok, so I am totally down with the Night Creme that goes with this Eye Creme, not so much about the eye creme. I really don't like it. It hurts my eyes like soo much. I know I sound bratty, but I have tried sooooo many eye cremes and they never really rocked my boat. I hope some one else got this, so they can prove me wrong with this product! I think I am just super sensitive when it comes to anything close to my eyes.
It didn't work for me, but nothing does. So it isn't neccessarily this eye cream, it might jsut be my eyes. But this hurt, and I just couldn't get into it. Sorry Derma E!

Review - Arbonne Intelligence Daily Eye Cream
This fast-absorbing formula is light-reflecting and helps minimize the appearance of puffiness and fine lines. .52oz #491; $28refer to yesterdays post for ordering directions!
Can I just first off mention what a great price this eye cream is! 1/2 an oz. at many other places would set you back much more, especially for such an exceptional cream. I was really delighted with the results. I thought that this product alone was my stand out favorite, it is also the one that you can really tell is working all on it's lonesome as opposed to just being part of the party. It absorbs quickly, as advertised, and I thought really reduced the puffy look I sometimes get after a bad night's sleep. I am 24 and there really are not any fine-lines to report back on, but I will say the skin around my eyes feels really soothed, moisturized and happy. Another nice plus is the fact that my eyes never burned from run off, like at the gym or in the rain. This is actually a common problem for me with Eye Cream so I was really happy to find it blissfully absent. I will definitely repurchase this eye cream again, with or without the rest of the set!
Amanda S. Says: I too don't have any serious lines around my eyes, but as I have posted many times before, I rub my eyes senseless from having them get so tired reading and writing at work constantly. So the skin does get irritated and annoyed at me and dries out visibly after the harder days I have. Yesterday, sadly, was such a day, and I put this product to the test. I was really happy to see that my skin plumped up instantly, smoothed over, and all those teeny little itty bitty lines disappeared and my eyes looked fresh and awake for the rest of the night!

Review - Arbonne NutriMinC® RE9® Face Corrective Eye Crème

Visible firming, moisturizing and corrective benefits that are so immediate, you won’t believe your eyes! Reduces the appearance of dark circles and puffiness, while beneficial RE9 elements are transported to protect and repair the delicate tissue around the eye. ( .60 oz./17 g )
Price: $49.00
I was very pleasantly surprised by the results when using this Arbonne NutriMinC® RE9® Face Corrective Eye Crème. Most products make claims that can be somewhat true -- but the claims for Arbonne NutriMinC® RE9® Face Corrective Eye Crème worked for me. I did see almost immediate improvements in my eye areas. The darker undereye area seems to lighten up and the puffiness was much less visible. The skin, itself, felt more toned and it looks better after a few days. I have had problems arise from other eye products but this Arbonne NutriMinC® RE9® Face Corrective Eye Crème caused no discomfort at all -- and performed miraculously. Some improvements seemed immediate while others slowly became noticeable. The price seems to be right in the range for Eye Creams that really work!!
CitySlicker Says: This is a really nice hydrating eye cream. I have used all of my samples which lasted about 3 weeks using once a day in the morning. I found that after application it absorbs quickly and helps to contour and smooth the eye area. I also believe that it really helped keep my foundation & concealer looking fresh and dewy.. There is no perfumy scent so that is a huge plus in my book, I want the ingredients that help my skin not smell good.. The entire NutriminC lines is great and works really well all together!
Maria says: Here's a review of this wonderful eyecream that I did back in October of 2007:
"Probably the best eyecream I've ever used. Talk about being skeptical when I had my arm twisted to go to an Arbonne demo! I went kicking and screaming b/c I thought Arbonne was more hype than a skincare line that would actually do something for me. Boy, was I surprised at how much I loved this eyecream and I have tried a lot of them out there. It's got all the right "stuff" - a lovely hydrating effect that lasts throughout the day, no clashes with concealer/makeup, and a very light fresh scent. It is a winner. I have just ordered my fourth bottle. I have stopped looking for THE one. Found it! : )"
So as you can see, I have been raving about this eyecream for a long time...and still nearly two years later, I'm still using it. Why mess with a good thing? It works. It's a dream of an eyecream. It DOES depuff, it DOES hydrate, it DOES work. All you have to do now is go and get yourself some! Five-star love for this eyecream.
Hillary says: I have a love-hate relationship with this eye cream. Some days I find it simply moisturizing and refreshing. Other days, it stings. I haven't figured out completely why this happens, but I suspect it's according to how dry my eye skin is. If it's super-dry, I feel a slight sting. But that's not to say I dislike this cream. I think it's a nice, emollient cream that lasts all night when you put it on before bed. And the miniscule amount you need to use makes it SO economical! I used the same tiny sample for a week! I can only imagine how long a jar would last. Definitely give it a try.Sunday, April 19, 2009

Review - Say Yes to Carrots Eye Contour Cream
Eye can C Cleary NowEye Contour CreamYou never believed your mom when she said carrots were good for your eyes. Our Eye can C Clearly Now moisture rich Eye Contour Cream will have you believing differently.
A gentle spring water based Eye Contour Cream with organic carrot juice, organic cucumber juice and 26 Dead Sea Minerals.
Okay, so I'm a drug store brand snob. As soon as I started earning a paycheck I've always steered toward high-end skin care - although at times I would dabble in drug store products and find a keeper. I have seen this line in Walgreens many times and admittedly, it sparked my interest, but again, I thought "well, it can't be as good as my $50 eyecream so I shall pass it up." I am here to say, head hung in shame, that I was wrong. This, my friends, is a very good eyecream. My gosh, you get a HUGE tub of it for under $20 and it is really, really nice. The cream sinks in, does not migrate towards my eyes, mixes well with my other facial potions and lotions, has a very, very light fragrance...I am impressed! This is a quirky little line that I think will earn its way to the top of drug-store brands due to its effectiveness, pricepoint, and ingredients. I am saying yes to carrots! Now, if it were brussel sprouts....that'd be a different story. :)

Review- Kinerase Under Eye Rescue
"Helps to reduce the look of puffiness and under eye circles associated with aging, stress and the environment." 0.7 fl. oz. $75So the big question you're dying for me to answer- "Does it work?" Well I've been using it for some time now and I can say unequivocally- YES! I'm not saying I saw results right from the beginning but over the course of a couple of weeks I became a true believer. I had tried little samples of Kinerase products over the years and I now know that it has a cumulative effect so a sample can only really give you an idea of scent and consistency. But believe me, if you are on the fence and the only thing holding you back is your doubt that it works, just go for it. You won't be disappointed. I will warn you, however, when you stop using it, you see the results of that too. I forgot my tube of Under Eye Rescue over the Christmas holiday & went 6 days without it and my eye area really missed it. In addition to being a super line fighter, it moisturizes without feeling greasy. The only drawback from my point of view is the lack of sunscreen as you are supposed to use this cream morning and night. I had to add an additional product as a sunscreen. If you want a real 1-2 punch for too much "wisdom" around your eyes, I recommend using Kinerase Under Eye Rescue followed by 2 applications 5 minutes apart of Dr. Michelle Copeland's Rewind Advance Wrinkle Defense. These two used in tandem can really turn back the clock. I am now LOVING my eyes!

Review- Derma e Organic Expressions Brighter Eye Creme
A unique blend of botanicals including Yarrow, Horse Chestnut, Gingko Biloba, Witch Hazel, and Eyebright extracts that promotes healthy circulation, helps strengthen leaky capillaries, and reduces swelling and inflammation. Additionally, two powerful antioxidants, Pycnogenol® and Green Tea Extract, protect skin structures from free radical damage and also support healthy circulation. Made with Certified Organic ingredients, Cruelty-free/ Vegan & Paraben-free.This is a rich, creamy eye cream that thoroughly moisturizes the delicate eye area, yet doesn't feel suffocating to the eye area. I use this cream exclusively at night as it has no SPF, and my eyes have been thanking me for it. Nothing can make your eyes look more wrinkly than they really are faster than dry skin. Add on to that inflammation or dark circles and it can add 10 years to your face. Luckily this cream addresses all three problems. I've been using the Brighter Eye Creme for a few weeks now & it's what I'm NOT seeing that has me impressed. I have bad allergies and this time of year is one of the worst for me as I'm allergic to leaves that have fallen to the ground. When my allergies act up, my eyes generally puff up and get dark circles. My allergist calls them "allergic shiners". While I won't say I'm completely circle-free, there is a definite improvement over the look of my eyes last year at this time. I didn't know that an eye cream could actually make a difference in the darkness around my eyes, but this definitely has. Now don't go expecting miracles. One night when I couldn't sleep I woke up the next morning with bags and circles to beat the band, but for normal, everyday problems, I've found my solution. As an added bonus, it takes only the tiniest amount to do each eye and it's a pretty generous sized bottle for an eye cream. Also, while on their site, check out the sampler offer. It's $4.95 S & H, but you get a good amount of samples of some really great products.

Review - Mario Badescu Chamomile Eye Cream
Sensitive and dry eyes will be soothed and intensely moisturized with this thick and antioxidant rich eye cream. Contains a blend of several oils and Vitamins A & E to help reduce the look of dry, dehydrated skin, along with fine lines and wrinkles.Good for All Skin Types
0.5oz. - $18.00
I find this to be an excellent eye cream. I switch back and forth with brands to make sure my skin does not get really immune to the products' effects. I have no idea if this really works but I try it. This cream definitely moisturizes the eye area and I swear I do think it minimizes "the look" of the fine lines and wrinkles. It does not claim to actually minimize the lines and wrinkles - just the appearance. Most brands will limit their claims to that. Some brands can be excessively expensive and do nothing or very little. This is a moderately priced item that works for me. It treats my eye area skin very well leaving it hydrated and, like I said, it appears to have that minimizing line effect.

Review- Avon Hydrofirming Eye Cream
Works at night to firm, tone and pamper the delicate skin around the eyes. Super-moisturizing, The perfect complement to Hydrofirming Night Cream. .Instant results:
• Over 85% increase overall firmness.
• Over 100% boost in skin’s moisture.
On sale- $6.99
You asked for a less expensive eye cream alternative and here it is! This nighttime eye cream is everything dry eye skin needs. This cream can repair peeling skin in just 2-3 nights. It's not so heavy that your eyes feel suffocated, but they do feel very relieved if they are dry. Firmness isn't a big concern of mine, so I can't attest to the firming factor. I use a prescription retinoid on my face and sometimes on my eyes and if I over do it (which I'm prone to do) this takes care of the scales. Plus, look at the price! Even when it's not on sale it's only $10.50. I'm a big fan of Avon. I'm not saying they deliver on all their promises (because they do make some tall ones), but I find their formulations generally stand up to scrutiny. Not only because of the price, but because of the quality, you can't go too wrong with this moisturizing eye cream.
Sheba says:
Hillary, even if the price is only $10.50 I say never buy Avon unless it is on sale as it will go on sale and you will kick yourself for not waiting. Then stock up on it so you will never have to buy it at regular price. This eye cream is all it says but I totally agree with Hillary on this point: that does not mean that all their products deliver exactly what they say. There are many exaggerations- I do not end up looking like the 20 something model who is shown for anti wrinkle creams. I also discovered that Avon, as well as many lines, has many people allergic to something in one of their products. This particular cream does seem to act on its promises. I, myself, am addicted to many of Avon's Anew line also. Again, I never buy unless they are on sale and sometimes the price is even better on Ebay.

Review - PSF Super Hydrating Eye Treatment
This luxurious cream eye treatment will help to minimize fine lines and wrinkles while diminishing under-eye puffiness and dark circles. Vitamins C, A, and E along with pycnogenols (OPC) from Grapeseed provide nature's most intense antioxidant protection against free radicals. Bio-liposome technology delivers vital moisture-trapping ceramides deep into the delicate tissue without irritation. Seaweed extract tones and tightens sagging skin, while Hyaluronic Acid plumps up fine lines and wrinkles. This eye treatment absorbs deep into the skin, and leaves the eye area feeling "rose-petal-soft" and hydrated all day long. Here is a skincare line that is really, really worth your attention. I first learned about Pure Skin Formulations a few years ago when they were just starting out and MY how they've grown. Take a look at the ingredients in these top notch products - all actives. Barely (if any) unpronouncable words - just the good stuff, baby! This eye cream is no exception. It is all that it says it is and chock full of terrific ingredients. It keeps the area around my eyes hydrated without feeling greasy and there has never been any kind of averse reaction either. Luckily, I don't have dark circles so I can't speak for its effectiveness there, but this is by far one of my most cherished products in my arsenal. I will always be a repeat buyer, not only for their eyecream but for a bunch of other products they have as well. PSF has a great sample selection as well so you can try before you commit to the full sizes - but I can almost guarantee you will not be sorry purchasing from this truly terrific line.

Review - Cellcosmet Eye Contour Cream
Cellular eye cream specially adapted to the delicate eye area. Nourishes and ensures rich moisturization of the exposed skin around the eyes. Enriched with vitamins E + C to fight against free radicals. Helps prevent premature skin ageing. Softens and smooths skin texture. Excellent make-up foundation. Respects the natural ocular pH.Let's face it. I am a sucker for eyecream. I can't help myself. But one would have to be crazy to go and spend $195 on an eyecream - nuts, I tell you! Who would DO THAT? So, after I ordered it and it arrived at my house...I'm kidding - I was fortunate to request and receive three small sample jars of this which was good for about 2.5 weeks worth of application....I was lured by the great reviews (what else is new?) and even though I was quite happy with the current eyecream I was using, I had to try this just to assure myself that no eyecream could possibly be worth me spending $195. The good news? It isn't. The pros are that it is a NICE eyecream - very hydrating, sinks in well, does not give me little bumps around my eyes, it's enriched with C&E, and it does offer continual moisturization - but to be honest - no more than a couple of other really rather terrific eyecreams I had used (which I have since returned to) at less than half the cost. It didn't have any kind of lifting effect nor did it address dark circles or puffiness. So I'm happy to say, that for me, it is a case of yes, a nice product, but NO WAY worth the money.I don't see a lot of reviews or info on Cellcosmet but apparently they're huge in Switzerland. I believe they are one of Essential Day Spa's top selling lines, but I happily returned to Pure Skin Formulations Eye Cream - and believe it or not, a close second choice Arbonne's RE9 Eyecream. (Reviews to Follow) Save your money here kids.

Review - Dr. Patricia Wexler's 3 in 1 Eye Creme

Intensive 3-in-1 Eye Cream: Lifting, Firming, Anti-Wrinkle Formula
Fragrance-Free $32.50
Combines a unique complex of the most advanced firming and lifting peptides with Dr. Wexler's exclusive MMPi-20 ™ Technology to stimulate skin's own regenerative powers. Instantly boosts skin's moisturization for improved skin density and bounce. The overall effect is visibly lifted, tighter skin that leaves eyes looking younger and renewed.
CitySlicker Says:
I picked this up only because I got a $10 off coupon in a magazine. When I got there the sales girl was hyping up the the 3 in 1 so I jumped and bought it. First of all I can't believe I got and eye cream for $22.50 after the discount. I was thinking to myself, I am going to buy something else now. Anyway, I have been using this for a couple of weeks and I am SOLD on it. I am in my 30's and have minimal lines/wrinkles.. I noticed after a few days my eye area was looking rejuvenated and firmer. I can't believe it, really. This is like a soft butter upon application, it smooths into my skin and absorbs really quickly. I am using in the am & pm.. If you can find the coupon, scoop one up and if you can't get a coupon I recommend buying one anyway. This stuff is a little miracle in a tub. I am also noticing that there are no shadows under my eyes. I don't really get circles but sometimes I can see a little shadow, GONE.. I am so surprised that this isn't selling for $60.. It truly compares to other more expensive lines.. Great product and I'll be re -buying- sale or no sale! I am so happy I tried this..

Review - Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream

0.7 oz. (20 g) $59.00
Kinerase Intensive Eye Cream is a highly emollient cream that adds moisture to the delicate skin around the eyes. Since it contains kinetin, which has been shown to improve the signs of skin aging, you will be seeing younger looking skin in just a few weeks. Use P.M. and alternate with Under Eye Rescue in the A.M., or apply twice daily.
CitySlicker Says:
This is a no-nonsense eye cream; it's not super expensive. I like it for many reasons. It's got no scent, so that is wonderful - I don't want to be perfumy so close to my eyes. Also it's thick and rich and really feels good around the eye area. It's not greasy at all, but I find that the formula is a little thicker that some other creams - it feels almost like I am coating the eye area. I am all about coating. It's a good thing, too: with all the elements, I want all the help I can get! I apply this to freshly cleaned skin and I am ready for the day. I find that my makeup stays in place, doesn't ride in the fine lines and the cream keeps the eye area in great shape all day. I am very happy with my results. I also love to use a tad on my lips, it's a nice foundation for a matte lippy!

Review- Roc Protient Fortify Lift and Define Eye Cream

RoC® Protient Fortify™ Eye Cream increases skin firmness around the eyes, visibly lifts eyelids, and reduces puffiness to make eyes look younger and more awake.
How it works: The light, silky fluid absorbs quickly and begins working immediately with a unique blend of wheat polymer and DMAE -- a high performance tightening agent -- to help strengthen and tone the skin around your eyes.
If this product were a flag, I'd pledge allegiance to it. I'm on my third tube and that NEVER happens with me and eye creams. This easily spreadable fluid works for all over the eye area but the hallelujah part is what it does for the upper eyelid. I've got that nice, defined, eyelid crease back again and the outer corners don't seem to be in overhang mode anymore. It also works very well under makeup.
If (gulp) you've definitely gotten past the "fine lines" stage, this cream might make you stop thinking about having your eyes done--or at least for a few hours. Product is about $19 at chain drugstores.
