Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash is a divine smelling, super moisturizing body wash that will leave your skin feeling like silk. The deep, musky fragrance leaves just a hint on your skin, and reminds me of a hot August night. It really didn't do much in terms of exfoliating, since I could barely feel the beads and didn't notice much of a difference in my skin afterward, but the moisturizing quality and smell were still amazing. If you want the feeling of a steamy summer evening during the end of December, you'll definitely love this product. However if you need a more serious scrub for dry, flaky, skin you might be disappointed.

Josephine says: Malikah nailed something about this shower gel that I haven't been able to do yet. It does somehow encapsulate summertime in like, Cuba. The smell is awesome yet subtle and it cleans and softens wonderfully. I did think the exfoliating was meaningful, though. The winter is so harsh on my skin and it's dry on such a deep level that it doesn't even look flaky or scaly to the naked eye but I itch as if I have poison ivy. Basically I am trying to say that I need exfoliating/moisturizer like I need air. I will most definitely (and joyfully!) finish the bottle and seek Caress out again, especially when I am on a budget because that quality to this product is not to be overlooked either.

The scent is absolutely decadent, reminding me of a rich caramel flan that adds that beautiful touch of warmth in the middle of one the coldest winters in NY (from what I can remember). There is some exfoliating here - even if ever so modest- it's not a full scrub, but my skin still felt soft and nourished after using it. I love how the Caress body wash suds up so beautifully and washes off just as easily. Your skin truly feels much softer and smoother and clean afterwards, leaving a gorgeous and sweet scent to remember. I'd definitely purchase the body wash for the silkiness factor and the enjoyable fragrance together!

Review - Dove Deep Moisture Nourishing Body Wash

This Dove Body Wash is really lovely. Its rich, thick and creamy and really hydrates the skin nicely. The smell is classic Dove, soft and soapy and clean with a hint of floral undertones. For the price this body wash is definitely worth it and a little goes a long way, but it foams very nicely and doesn't really leave any residuals, which I like. It does leave a powdery smell on your skin, but nothing offensive or even that noticeable. I would say that if your skin needs some moisture from the super-dry winter air look no further for a very inexpensive solution!

Trish says: I've always loved the classic Dove moisturizing wash. It has been my solid standby choice forever, as far as body cleansers go. So, trying the new Deep Moisture Dove with Nutrium, I was sure that I'd love the new modifications too without a doubt. Well, sad to say, not exactly. The scent was too perfumey for me - so here's one example where the original exceeds the upgrade. I still love Dove products in general, but the new brand had too strong of a perfume like fragrance for me to fully embrace. If you like the new scent, you won't be disappointed with the overall cleansing and moisturizing of the body wash, but if a strong floral scent is too much for you to handle, the original Dove is still a winning classic!


Malikah says: my biggest beauty sin is taking too hot showers. For some reason, I just can't stand it if the water isn't almost scalding hot. Yes, I know that dries the skin. Yes, I know this is really really bad in the middle of winter. But that is one thing that will probably never change. To help me deal with this bad habit, I'm always looking for an ultra-moisturizing body wash that will help replenish some of the moisture that my shower heat burns off. Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash smells great, and develops into a rich gently cleansing lather. It doesn't quite leave my skin moisturized the way I'd like, so I guess because of my shower issues I need something crazy moisturizing. But if you're a girl who doesn't like to torture her skin with scalding water, I bet this would work wonders for you.

It's under $15 for a nice big bottle of this super sweet and soft smelling calming body wash that bubbles up great on a poof/washcloth and is definitely OK for guys/girls (read: NOT perfumey). it really does have a relaxing scent, sort of like those massage/body oils or aromatherapy things you can rub into your temples when you feel all tense and stressed out. a little perk which I didn't note on the bottle is that you can add this to scent your bath too and the smell lingers nicely.

I recently started using natural, chemical free products at the suggestion of my super green best friend. At first I was skeptical, but now I gotta say I'm hooked, particularly on Burt's Bees products. They somehow manage to be naturally made and chemical free, and have all the best attributes of luxury products at drugstore price points. Burt's Bees Fabulously Fresh Body Wash is one of my favorite products. The refreshing scent really gets you going on the morning, and after showering with it at the end of a hot, summer day, it leaves your skin feeling fresh and cool. Since it is sulfate-free it is not supposed to create a huge lather like other body washes, so don't waste the product trying to make it foam up. And while you're showering with it, try taking a few deep, slow breaths to really breathe in the stimulating peppermint and rosemary aroma.

Amanda S. Says: I saw this product last week in Duane Reade (of all places!) and picked it up, honestly, because Burt's Bees products are super cute and the packaging was adorable. I'm really glad the product met all my expectations. I've never used anything this 'natural' that smelled so delicious and fragrant without smelling fake or forced. I want to live on this stuff, and if I could eat it, I totally would. I can see this being extra great in the winter when my skin does it's yearly freak-out-from-dryness attack, because the sulfate-free composition makes it about 50x less drying than other products.

"This smells like Europe," I said to my friend after I opened the bottle of Arrojo Floral Citrus Body Wash to take a whiff.

"What? That doesn't make any sense."

"No, it smells like Europe. Smell it."

"Fine, but I still say - OH MY GOD. It does smell like Europe."

Nick Arrojo, best known as the strange, hairstyling elf on TLC's What Not To Wear, has produced, for some reason, a line of products - not just for hair, but also body washes and other skincare items. I suppose expanding your brand is important - I mean, even Lindsay Lohan has a self-tanner, and she's barely even a celebrity anymore - but why Arrojo decided that body washes, in particular, would be a good idea is beyond me.

This is not to say the Floral Citrus body isn't fine. It is. It smells great (like Europe; specifically, like a hotel I stayed in in Spain), it lathers fine, and gets me clean. But there's nothing particularly amazing about it to explain or excuse the price point ($14/10 oz) - that's like five bucks more than Bath and Body Works, and I already think they're overpriced. So if you happen to be an Arrojo client or you really like him on WNTW, go for it! You won't be disappointed. But if you're just a regular gal looking to get clean and smell nice, there's bound to be a drugstore brand that will work just as well.

Amanda S. Says: Major points for caring enough about rhubarb to make a rhubarb scent of shower gel... because this is definitely my favorite scent that is 'fruity' in nature. And sure, it is a great shower gel, it lathers, it cleans squeaky and nice, rinses off, clean clean clean... But that's about it. I do love using it because I love the smell (although not like Europe, it does remind me of pie I think I once ate in the Berkshires).

Josephine adds: I, too, experienced the ambience of a Parisian boutique hotel clawtub bath with my Arrojo Rhubarb Shower Gel. I kid you not, I literally thought to myself, "How European" when I first flipped the cap open. And, really as far as shower gels go, I mostly just look for a pleasant scent that does not either change my life or ruin it and this one satisfies. I have to add though that I also have the Arrojo Sweet Pachouli Shower Gel and if I am honest here, I was fearful that by using it I would be forced to relive my sort of violent distaste of this essential oil circa my college days in the early 90s. However, after just one use, I like it better than the Rhubarb. The shower gel's combination of scented notes comes together like some woodsy forest-y fantasy where I could suddenly imagine what it might be like to be a tiny woodland creature playing under the canopy of trees early in the morning. Seriously, the scent is really that divine.

Trish Says: I have to agree with Josephine completely! This scent is divine. I really liked this shower gel. A lot. I know it is on the pricey side for body cleansing products, but I try to make up for the price and think of how much I'm saving on not needing additional body lotion, oil and sprays after using one product from Arrojo. I tried the patchouli scented gel and with such a strong fragrance as patchouli it takes a delicate touch to pull it off. Arrojo Shower Gel seemed to have done it remarkably! Their patchouli scented gel is light, earthy and sensuous. It really doesn't come on too strong or offensive, but instead it provides a secondary whiff of aromatic bliss. The best part of the gel is feeling super clean after a shower, no soapy buildup, or extra residue - just a silky finish leaving your body feeling soft, light, and smelling sensual. Even on a humid overcast day in the city, I didn't feel sticky at all after using this cleanser and was especially glad that I had used it earlier.

Hillary says: This shower gel has all the components I feel make a great shower gel: it lathers nicely, it smells wonderful, it doesn't compete with my perfume and it leaves me feeling clean without drying me out. I have the gel in Refreshing Rhubarb which may not sound too appealing to anyone who knows what a stalk of rhubarb looks like, but the smell is super although it's hard to describe. The Arrojo website says it is a mix of rhubarb and honeydew melon and it is their signature scent. It is also good for your skin as it is enriched with lots of minerals. You only have to use a tiny amount for each part of your body, so this bottle is going to last me a while (it's a generous 10.1 fl. oz.). This quality for this price is usually hard to come by and as an added bonus, throughout June get 14 free sample sachets of Arrojo products with any order from arrojoproduct.com. Great shower gel with a great bonus!

BTW, I just read that everyone else finds this shower gel pricey. Ok, it's a little high, but when you take into consideration how little you are using each time, it's like the equivalent of a bottle and a half of another shower gel.

How could you not get excited about trying this product? Like all the other reviewers mentioned, it comes from Nick Arrojo’s salon from What Not to Wear so it already starts off on a good note. The packaging is simple but has a luxury feel (I’m really big on packaging).

I tried the patchouli scent and absolutely love it because it’s not too girly, but not too manly either. When I put it on, I could tell that this would be a great bodywash for summer because it was light and refreshing. There are some products that are so potent and filled with the bad stuff that you can feel the toxins, despite all the smell-good scents that are added in. This was exactly the opposite and I was pretty impressed with this shower gel.

Deedlejuse says: I seven, I guess, really enjoyed this body wash. It suds' wonderfully, smells great, leaves your skin moisturized and refreshed. Simply it is exactly everything one could want in a body wash. I had the Floral Citrus flavor and really loved it. I guess I will disagree with Movie Maven about that, it is expensive, but is also a real treat to use. I think it would be a perfect gift to go into a basket or something, or a little extravagance for yourself. So far I have been more than happy with many of the products by Arrojo, but this would be top of my list!

Malikah says: I actually adored this stuff! I've been a huge Arrojo fan since he started on WNTW, and was pleasantly surprised he had ventured info body products. The smell is absolutely divine - light, pleasant, but not overbearing. You certainly don't see rhubarb popping up in too many beauty products, but hopefully Arrojo will make it the next big thing. I was a bit turned off by the price, especially since other than the smell there were no remarkable features about it. But it would make a great gift, especially since it looks super fancy.

Review- Weleda Citrus Creamy Body Wash

What a fun little wake up call this stuff is! Taking a shower with this body wash is like taking a dip in a bowl of lemon juice, I was squeaky clean and I smelled awesome! The fun thing is, I could still smell a wee hint of lemon hours later, and it was mixing great with my perfume. Weleda also makes their products without weird synthetic colors, scents and preservatives too, so there was no strange/scary drying out going on with my skin after I washed. So I can give this a thumbs up for skin that freaks out to strong cleansers and harsh chemicals, you will have no freak outs using this body wash. A bottle is only around $10, and seriously, you need only the teeniest dime sized smidge of this on a washcloth or puff and you are sudsed up for your whole shower. I really love the incredibly clean smell.

I got this body wash in the Sea Buckthorn scent, a scent best described as fruity without being overly so - my favorite kind. There's nothing worse than feeling like you took a dip in a vat of Laffy Taffy, but fortunately, this wash steers way clear of that. It's a little bit citrusy (it's got orange, grapefruit, and mandarin) and a little bit berry. The other thing I like about it is that it really is creamy. It looked so much like a creamy, delicious sauce that I almost wanted to put a little bit of it on a piece of flourless chocolate cake. (I didn't.) It wasn't harsh on my skin, and afterwards I felt soft and lovely - the perfect way to feel after a shower.

Review- Ahava Mineral Botanic Micro-Peeling Cream Body Wash

This creamy, exfoliating body wash in Waterlily/Guarana has a fresh slightly floral scent but (and I see this as a plus) it is understated enough that it doesn't stick around to compete with your perfume. Personally I can't use a wash or soap that's too strongly scented if it's not the same fragrance as my perfume. But I digress. This wash takes a little getting used to as it has no harsh detergents and doesn't lather much. It exfoliates well using olive and apricot seed powder but I expected something a little more scrub-like from something labelled "micro-peeling". However this wash was designed to be used on even sensitive skin, so taking that into consideration, it does a great job.This particular formula (there are 7 in the line) is for normal-to-dry skin and as someone with dry skin I can say this leaves my skin feeling refreshed and moisturized. Overall, I would say that if you are looking for a body wash which offers exfoliation, moisturization and is paraben, SLS and SLES free, this is a great one.

That stuff can really dry out your skin, and as a side note to anyone that gets dermatitis, THIS stuff can be the culprit (it hides in all sorts of products, even toothpaste!). I really loved this body wash, it is actually maybe one of my favorites and sure, it's true it doesn't lather much, but it really made me feel squeaky clean. The part that really got me was what it lacked: I didn't end up feeling itchy all over and my skin lacked the tightness I often get trying new shower/body washes and gels. The exfoliation was nice, not too harsh, but I definitely noticed a difference in the texture of my skin after using this for a little over 10 showers. I'd highly recommend this for sensitive skin.

I'm not being pretentious, guys - it really does say "Energising" on this bottle of Liz Earle Energising Body Wash. It's from England! And you know what - those Brits know from florals. This light, but invigorating body wash smells like your grandma's rose oil, but updated with lots of citrusy notes so it doesn't actually smell like an old lady. Best of both worlds! I don't know that it's necessarily "energising," but it certainly made my nose happy (and my roommates', too...I keep finding the bottle with less product in it than I left there). It's a great scent, and a fine body wash - I just wish it wasn't so pricey!

Sheba says 'ditto' to Movie Maven's review. Liz Earle Energising Body Wash is definitely a refreshing body wash and I love anything citrus. The citrus was actually a surprise -- I was thinking it was going to be just floral. It was a very nice pleasant surprise! This is just the right consistency, suds up nicely without overdoing, and leaves skin feeling nice, clean, refreshing, and moisturized. I still need some moisturizer but it definitely does not dry out your skin as some body washes do. It is a bit expensive but Liz Earle is a known brand, however, it is worth it to treat yourself once in a while!!

Mario Badescu - need I say more? No, I do not work for them --I wish I did. I have had excellent results from all of his products that I have used. This is no exception -- it is awesome. You always feel clean after a shower -- want to feel extra clean and refreshed -- use this!! It lathers up really well and just spreads its wonderful citrus scent over you as it cleans and hydrates. I love citrus anyway but in a body cleanser it is just sseems so much more clean and fresh. Your skin will be very happy as you use it and when you are done. Of course, it is clean and fresh but it feels as though you already put moisturizer on!! The price is very reasonable and many of Mario Badescu's products can be located on EBay for even less. Check it out -- you will be happy you did.

This body wash really is tremendously moisturizing- I love it! After using it for a few days I had absolutely no reason to apply a lotion, my skin feels so silky smooth and hydrated. The shower cream is a really interesting texture, not oily at all, really more like a lotion but then it lathers amazingly well when you apply it to a shower pouf. I only used it this way, because it is my favorite way to use any kind of shower gel or cream. The smell of this body wash is heavenly, not overly perfumy, and not super floral. It is more woody and rich, which really added to my shower experience. For the price this body wash rocks!

This is one very hard working body wash. It does a luxurious job of cleansing while at the same time nourishing your skin with moisture. It is more like a lotion when you use it but fear not -- it does a fantastic job of lathering up and feeling great while cleaning. I think that feeling might be because your skin is drinking up the moisture. When you finish rinsing off you will love the feeling and the look to your skin. It actually saves you the step of putting on body cream after you shower. You won't need it when you use this Dove Cream Oil Body Wash. I trust Deedlejuse's description of the fragrance much better than mine -- as that is her business and she knows it. I love the scent and it is not overpowering at all. It is not a heavy scent like some body washes have. All in all, this is a top performer for the price. Most Dove products, including this Body Wash, frequently go on sale and you can often find coupons for them. You will feel that you have invested wisely even if you do have to pay the full price -- but check around first.

This is a really different body wash for me. It’s a clear liquid, while I am used to thick and rich creams. The scent is a unique blend of energizing peppermint with relaxing lavender. It’s a blend that I didn’t think would work but completely does. There are no mixed signals either, wake up- no- go to sleep! I use this with a bath pouf and find that it lathers up into a light airy froth. My bathroom smells amazing too. I am over-using it everyday just to get the scent to remain strong while I shower. Also by using in moderation this will last a while too! It’s a yummy new take on an old product. I hope I piqued your interest cause this is a little gem of a line!

If you've used any of Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps, you'll be familiar with the consistency of Nature's Embrace Organic Body Wash. It's just barely more viscous than water, which might seem strange at first, but makes sense for several reasons. Primarily, the fact that you need less of this body wash means a) it will last longer and b) it uses less packaging (since you don't need to keep buying more bottles as quickly). For consumers who are green-minded (as I would imagine most of Nature's Embrace's customers are), this is great news. Add to that fact that this body wash really does lather up well, even without the dreaded lauryl sulfates, and you've got a wonderful product. Yes, it's a bit pricey, but it will last a long time (I've been using it for two weeks and made barely a dent), and if you want to be green, this is the way to go!

Oils of coconut, olive, jojoba, tea tree, plus chamomile, grapefruit seed extract, and more . . . all equal healthy, healed, soothed, smoothed skin! One thing that impresses me is that this wash appears just slightly thicker than water, yet it lathers enough to let you feel as though you’re cleaning and not stripping the skin of natural emollients as a detergent would. This is a very luxurious feeling body wash. It suds up beautifully while doing its great body cleansing. There are 3 choices, 'enjoy,' 'relax' and 'refresh.' I hate to say it but my 'enjoy' steals the thunder from the others. It is very relaxing and refreshing. I bet that they are too. However, this wash does leave your skin feeling very clean and refreshed. I do think the skin tone seems a bit better since using this. I will vouch for the healing properties they mention. I had a few little boo boos on me and they calmed down and feel better after using this. NO, I am not saying it healed them. It did make them feel less achey and more on their way to heal. I cannot define the scent but it is very pleasant and refreshing. It is far from overpowering and does not remain with you for long so there is no chance that it might collide with your choice of scent for the day. Some body washes have scents that linger too long. This does not. It does cost a bit more than I usually pay but it is efficient. You do not need much so it is going to last longer than my less expensive washes. In the long run this might actually work out to be less expensive since it is lasting so long. My opinion is that it is worth the cost even if it is a little higher as it does the job extremely well without drying the skin. As a matter of fact your skin will feel very hydrated and it requires less moisturizer.

Honestly, I'm kind of jealous of Sheba! The Enjoy sounds wonderful, the idea of sugar and rice extracts sounds super exotic and lovely. The flavor I tried was the "Refresh" with spearmint, and I must say it was very refreshing. Thankfully the scent was rather light, I don't think I could handle spearmint in the morning if it were too strong, this was just light and breezy. The feeling it leaves you with is sort of, I don't know, fortified. I don't know if that makes any sense, but I just feel like my skin is tougher (in a good way) and silkier. I have confidence in my healthy, vibrant looking skin after I use it. In my opinion that is really all that anyone can ask for in a shower gel. While $12.99 is really expensive for 11.5 ounces, I have to agree with Sheba again in how little you need to use. I have been using everyday for the last 2 weeks, and I would say it looks like I have used it for about 2 days. I'm a fan. Enjoy.......

I got the chance to try this in "Relax" a kind of citrusy scented lovely shower gel. It adds a silkiness and softness to the skin and I love using it on my legs before shaving - they feel super smooth after. Like the girls above attest, a little goes a long way - I will use the whole bottle, no question. The one caveat is that I wish shower gels came in a pump bottle. It's kind of tought to manuever in the shower - opening the cap, pouring some out onto your loofa or facecloth - I would love the idea of just pumping this - then it would truly be the perfect bottle of body wash!

This body wash really does leave your skin silky smooth, and moisturized. In the summer I don't' necessarily need an extra layer of lotion all the time because it is so humid. This is the perfect answer: A body-wash with oil and moisturizers enough to actually work by itself! I love it, of course many other companies have come up with the same idea, and I'm sure some of them work very well, but Caress makes one that is only $5.99 for 15 oz. Such a great deal!
My only two problems with this body wash is that the smell is just ok. I just wasn't blown over with the smell like I thought I would be. It was light, and sort of fruity, sort of a passion fruit with some spicy notes as well. The other thing was that I didn't think it lathered particularly well, like it cleaned and felt slick and nice, but the huge bubbles that other body washes yield was almost disturbingly absent. Perhaps the fact that there is so much essential oil in the mixture is the reason that it couldn't suds up the way I thought it was going to. Regardless, I love the way my skin feels after I use it. The scent doesn't last on your skin, which I think is a definite plus. I would buy it again, just because my skin feels so smooth!

This body wash does leave my skin feeling energized in addition to being clean and soft. I am a Citrus addict as far as scent goes and that may account for that feeling. It really does foam up nicely and you are enveloped in this wonderful citrusy fragrance. It is a very clean citrus scent unlike others I have tried that didn't have a genuine citrus aroma to them. It feels very silky as you lather up with it and leaves your skin with that silky feeling. The fragrance remains with you for a very brief time after you are finished -- but not long enough to interfere with any cologne, etc. you might use. The price is pretty reasonable and this product can be found in many locations at a sale or discount price in addition to this web site. The body wash comes in various other scents, some of which I have tried and enjoyed. However, I ended up with Citrus as my favorite.

This body wash is definitely one of my favorites. I don't know what the combination is that works for me -- there are so many variables to it. Actually I don't care what it is as long as it does the job. It leaves you "squeaky clean" with soft smooth skin. I can almost feel the dead skin getting washed away and my skin does feel healthier after using it. I don't need a lot of it -a little performs effectively. The cost is reasonable for such a great product since it does work and will not get used up too quickly.

This is, hands down, the best smelling body scrub I have ever used. It smells so delicious I can hardly describe it other than to say, AWESOME. and the scrubbing abilities go above and beyond these two usual possibilities: too little scrub with a not so awesome smell, and too MUCH scrub that makes you feel raw and icky with a not as awesome smell. Did I mention that I love how this stuff smells? Seriously it's fantastic.
For me, OK, sure, $30 for a 12 oz bottle is a bit steeper than what I'd usually pay for a body scrub but I have to admit, it's THAT good that I think I am going to do it, my skin hasn't been this soft and shiny smooth in a while, even after a thorough body scrubbing with other products and my religious affiliation with heavy Moisturizers.

I totally agree with Movie Maven, it's a tropical dream if those are the scents you are into.. I love and it.. The scent is warm and inviting.. I love the fruity florals that fill the bathroom when showering.. What I didn't like was the there is a tiny bit of scrub to it, not enough to make a difference on my skin.. I bought it on a trip to Target and loved the scent, my body needs exfoliation the I can feel and this wasn't it, so it's not quite a shower gel because of the teeny bit of scrub, to much for me to attend to shave with and definitely not enough for some scrubbing action.. I used it along with a bath pouf so all ended well, it's a really inexpensive option for a special tropical get away right at home.. I think it's has the dreamiest scent! I love it for that!

I'm a girl who likes a lot of lather. I know it doesn't mean it's cleaning any better, but it's so fun to have a ton of soapy foam all over the place, right? And this scrub, unlike a lot of others, foams up very nicely (especially if you use a pouf*). The exfoliant properties were fairly gentle - it falls somewhere between a basic drugstore brand exfoliating shower gel and a sugar scrub. I thought it was a happy medium that did the trick. I used the Vanilla Citrus scent; while I'm not a big fan of vanilla, I do love me some citrus, and this was lovely and not too strong. Overall, I'd recommend it for people who like mild exfoliation and a lot of bubbles! $3.99/250 mL @ drugstore.com.

from Amanda S: I have the lavender scent version of this product and I have to say, it smells delicious and really does foam up nicely on the pouf. It's not too gritty either, as I find a lot of shower scrubs really hurt the sensitive skin on my legs and arms because the granules are too big and chunky (which sounds gross and IS gross). For the price it can't be beat if you demand skin exfoliation in the shower.

Let's be honest here: if you're reading this blog, you've probably used something, at some point, from Bath & Body Works. It's like the McDonald's of scented bath products - ubiquitous, predictable, and relatively cheap. The Sheer Freesia (why sheer?) scent is a clean, inoffensive floral scent, the kind of scent that usually garners a reaction of neither enthusiasm nor insult. This is not to sound negative about the noble freesia or its applications at Bath & Body Works. This scent is the perfect middle ground: there's nothing not to like about it, so everyone will sort of like it by default. My recommendation: buy this for someone like an acquaintance or a coworker if you're not sure of what sort of scent she likes. For yourself, though...find something more interesting. $4 (down from $9.50) online and in stores.

I tend to like all of the Aveda products I try. This one is no exception. It has a minty, evergreeny scent that is very refreshing. It's chock full of natural extracts like grapefruit seed & witch hazel. Aloe extract is the second ingredient. The cleanser also has vitamin E and glycerin, two very good moisturizers. I recently read which rated vitamin E as the second best protection from environmental damage you can get. All this and it lathers well too! And like all Aveda products, it's made in the U.S.A. and never tested on animals.
