Review - Arbonne Renewing Body Gelee
Review - Arbonne Fortifying Hair Mask
.
I was reluctant to get overly excited about this, as I kind of think that it’s hard for a company to branch out into all facets of the beauty industry. I had this for a couple of weeks before I used it. It’s like nothing I have ever used. All other hair masks go on and envelop my hair. This is silky, thick and rich when I squeezed it into my palm. When I applied it my hair completely sucked it up. I was afraid that it wasn’t going to work for me. As I rinsed I could feel that my hair was very smooth and tangle free. I combed without a hitch and decided to dry without any products. My hair was soft and shiny with some flyaways but relatively tame. The scent is light floral with a sea like smell. I really enjoy using this and only use once a week. The longer I use it the more I like it! I will re-buy when I run out!
Review - Arbonne Purifying Sea Soak
.
I got this as a gift and I am addicted. I love taking a swim in the tub on any given day. I work hard and find soaking completely relaxing and a great place to read a magazine. This is an amazing product and for $60 for 8 packs it better be. I never really thought anything of the purifying qualities till my first use. I dumped in the entire package and now I know I can cut it in half. I bathed, just soaked and within 10 minutes the water was grey, I don’t know what it pulled out of my skin but when I got out, I couldn’t believe how nice my skin felt, moisturized and so soft to the touch. I am using this once a week to pull out the impurities, also when I am not in the mood for a bath, this is amazing in a foot bath too, and it softens my soles and again pulls out all the toxins. I find it very relaxing and love the light scent. It’s an investment but worth it!

Review - Avon Anew RETROACTIVE+ Youth Extending Cream Night Cream
The Anew Line of Avon products has been a real discovery for me. This particular cream goes on very smoothly and is absorbed rather quickly. It works best if you also use the Day cream in conjuntion with this. The results are worth the investment and the cost can be minimal. Avon constantly has sales so just wait until it goes on sale or try EBay. I noticed small differences within a few days to a week after begining use. It sounds like a commercial but it does minimize the appearance of fine lines. It does not make the lines disappear or any such miracle but it does somehow reduce their appearance and that is GOOD! I noticed that my jawline seemed to have a bit firmer appearance. I don't expect to appear like I am back in my twenties but I am quite happy with the slight changes I saw right away and intend to keep those changes in place. I think continued use might attain that for me. Continued use will not be the same as Botox or surgery. So I will be more than happy if it just continues to leave the improvements I see now. Once again, their sale price is very reasonable for what you find in this jar. Check out Ebay on the chance you might find it for a better price. I do think you will be pleased with the results as long as you are not looking for miracles.
Review - Marc Anthony Simply Straight - Instant Straightening Cream
This is another of Marc Anthony's products that has proved its worth to me. I do have naturally curly hair but prefer a smoother less curly curl than I have. This cream does it for me. It holds the curliness to a minimum while protecting my hair from the frizzies and as a bonus, it actually seems to enhance the body to my hair. It does not dry out my hair in the process but it does give my hair some shine. I have found this to be a winner for me. I have lucked out in finding this in local stores for less than this website and have gotten it on sale. Last time it was a great BOGO free sale. If you can find it locally you avoid the S + H charges also.
Review - Goldwell Double Boost Rootlift spray
Alcohol free
The other day, while at the hair salon I asked my stylist what her favorite product in the whole place was. This Goldwell Double Boost Rootlift spray was her answer, she had not used it on my hair so I couldn't be sure, but she GAVE me the end of her bottle to try because she loved it so much. It did not dissapoint. I have used this kind of product by different companies and I was never completely satisfied with the end result. My hair would look dirty at the root because of the product. None of the previous issues occurred with Goldwell, I absolutely loved the end result. My hair is bouncy and full of volume, and smells just like when you leave the salon. It doesn't take a lot of skill to use (which is great for me!) because the mousse is very easy to apply and just a touch will create a lot of volume and bounce. The best part, I think, of the whole deal is that it is alcohol free so it doesn't dry out my hair at all. I am absolutely loving this product, my only problem is it is almost gone!!! I will definitely be reordering very soon.

Review - Alba Lip Balm Coconut Cream
Just as a side note, you will probably notice that there is a poor review on pharmacy.com, where I found this product for the best price. I personally had a very good experience, but it seems others might not have.
Review - Julie Hewett Omit Liner
CitySlicker Says:
I just got my lucky magazine in and saw this coupon code for Julie Hewett.. I have this Omit liner.. It's amazing! I use it for my eyes & lips. It’s not drying on my lips like most eye liners are. Its creamy, stays put, and wears for a long time. It’s the perfect nude liner for those super sheer nude lippies This liner is very versatile. I line the inside of my lower eye, instantly an amazing fresh pop. I also line the upper lash line for a super nude natural look & sometimes I feather the liner over my lid for a clean crisp un made up look. It actually looks like I have nothing on but my lids don’t look dull... I love this liner; I have only a nub left so I am off to score the 25% off while it lasts... I couldn’t be more satisfied with this product!
Sheba says:
I have this pencil and it is everything City Slicker says and more. It is such a useful tool in perfecting your look for the day or evening. It goes on so smoothly compared to other eyeliners I have used. Sometimes they just stick a bit when you are applying -- not the Omit pencil. It just glides along. You can end up with the most natural look after using the pencil to conceal your imperfections and/or line your eyes, and your lips. It will give you such a nice fresh look when in truth you are covering up those areas you want to disguise and lining your eyes and lips with a very natural color. It definitely is one of the best that I have used and I see myself continuing with it. Yes, it is a bit costly and the shipping charges are outrageous. . . but wait for it to go on sale and then buy more than one. I feel that I am saving more that way -- please don't tell me it isn't so.

Review - Way Out Wax Clean Air Candles
Net weight 7 ounces - burns up to 55 hours
100% soy wax candle blended with a proprietary blend of pure essential and botanical oils guaranteed to neutralize offending odors, not just mask them. Our newest container is a neutral alternative to the cobalt glass...and they look great side by side!
Way Out Wax is one of my favorite all natural companies out there, and there have been reviews before about their awesome all natural soy candles already, but I wanted to specifically mention this new wonderful candle that I just got. It is part of their "Clean Air Collection" my candle is the normal clean air, but if you surf around on their website you can find "Clean Air Pet Collection" in shampoo's candles, and sprays. The candle itself is beautiful and lasts forever, but it doesn't have a smell. The reason I purchased this specific candle is because I really like burning candles, and of course I want my house to smell fresh, but sometimes I'm not in the mood for the overly perfumy smells most candles (even soy candles) give off. This one leaves really almost no scent, maybe a hint of some kind of herb or something, but it completely refreshes the house. It takes yucky lingering odors from cooking the night before, or from someone's stinky shoes out of the equation. I don't know how it does it, because nothing is in the air from burn off or anything, but I don't question miracles. If your like me and you don't necessarily want a huge scent when you burn a candle, but "unscented" just doesn't do enough give this candle a try, I promise you will be amazed!

Review - Kazam Hand & Body Lotion
Tropical Tangerine Hand and Body Lotion $15.00
This lotion has a great scent, it reminds me of a creamsicle. It is fresh and yummy; it's a very sweet smelling orangey citrus. I have been applying this after showering. It’s a light lotion; it absorbs quickly, leaving soft skin behind. I honestly can apply and dress in 5 minutes; I find there is no down time or greasy feeling left behind. The scent seems strong when I pour it out but light on my body. I prefer to use it on my body rather than on my hands. I need something that has more emollient for the hands. I do have to mention that this seems to be a little expensive for the price.

Review - Supersmile Quickie
Created by aesthetic dentistry icon Dr. Irwin Smigel, the Supersmile system not only whitens natural teeth, but enhances professionally bleached teeth without sensitivity or the danger of over-bleaching. It's the only whitening system that restores bonded teeth and veneers to their original color.
I have been using the Supersmile Quickie, without any of their other products, for several weeks now. It is a very convenient little size, and you would be stunned by how long .35oz lasts! All in all I liked the way it tasted, it did leave my breath feeling fresh and clean, and it didn't cause any sensitivity (which is normal for me and teeth whitening products). I think that the effects would have been more pronounced had I used it in conjunction with the Professional Whitening System, but I did notice a slight difference with this alone. Honestly, if you are going to spend the money on the Quickie, you have invested enough to get the Professional Whitening System too. I think if you used them together you would be much happier with the results, this is based on other people's reviews of the Professional Whitening System which you can read here .
The flavor is nice, the affects were a little bit less than what I was hoping for, but I really think using both together would have improved the results. All in all, I think I'm going to order the whole package, and save the rest of the Quickie for when I get it. White teeth are so important, and I definitely think that Supersmile will help you get them!
Sheba says:
Just 'ditto' Deedlejuse's review: it is dead on. I enjoy using this little Supersmile Quickie. It leaves you with very fresh breath and your mouth feels refreshed. I barely noticed a difference in the whiteness of my teeth and it is easy for me to see it -- I chipped one of my front teeth and have a filling to replace the chip. The filling matches the color of the tooth and teeth around it. The difference between that filling (which cannot whiten) and the teeth is very slight. However, I really agree with Deedlejuse's assessment that it probably works overtime when used in conjunction with their Professional Whitening System. This Supersmile Quickie is sold as a stand alone product and does a wonderful job considering the way it freshens breath and makes your mouth feel great. However, to get the most optimum whitening it really should be used with the Professional Whitening System. Also, as she mentioned -- the little tube lasts forever. I have been using it for weeks and it still has most of the contents in tact. It takes only a drop for the super results.
CityClicker Says:
I love any whiting product that works and leaves me with no pain or sensitivity. This is one of those little gems that all girls should have in their bag, it’s easy to use discreet and provides you with a light burst of freshness and helps with staining. I use after a cranberry juice to stomp the stain or just when I need a boost other than gum. I have found that using along with the supersmile toothpaste with accelerator this is keeping my teeth free from staining and bright. I would love to try the professional whiting system and see what the results bring me but as an inexpensive accessory this is really nice!

Review - LuMESH Lip Gloss
Yes another ingenious, wonderful product from LuMESH. Again my absolute favorite part of the lip gloss is the packaging. Some things just tickle me, a mirror in my handbag that is not covered with eyeshadow all the time, that is one of those things. The color I tried is called Sheila, a little bit different from the norm for me but I can't imagine it not looking good on anyone. I am blond, with fair skin (granted I have a bit of a tan this summer) and it looks so good. I look sun-kissed, like a bronzer for your lips. I tried it over another color just to see what would happen, let me tell you Strawberry is much easier to wear if you cover it with a beautiful bronze shine! Anyways, yes it is rather pricey for a lip gloss, but it feels so nice. It isn't sticky like they advertise, and it makes the lips look a bit plumper without that sting that some plumpers have. It is totally worth it, and the other colors are so cute!
Amanda S. Says: I really do like the packaging also, and I used the color Magaly, which is a deeper shade than I'd ever really pick for myself. I garnered a ton of compliments on it too, and it stuck around for quite a while. How adorable is the mirror on the side of the package? I mean seriously!!! unlike other make up compacts/cases that have mirrors in them that actually end up getting smudged and useless with the make up their supposed to help you supply, this mirror is right on the side and out of harm's way. I think it's awesome.
Sheba says:
I guess I am the only slob in the group. I love the mirror on the side also -- but mine got smudged, etc. in the little bag I kept it in. I am not complaining as it took a simple swipe with a Kleenex to clear it. However, no one else ran into that situation. It is not a problem and is a clever idea. I found the gloss itself to be more like a liquid lipstick. It glides on ever so easily and looks very rich. It does not have the glossy shine that I sort of expected. Rather it has a very nice matte type finish. I would never have guessed it was a gloss if I did not put it on myself. Kalie is a nice shimmery shade of pink. It seems to be a very neutral color that might flatter any skin tone. I think it looks great and stays on for a while and feels good on. I am the one who has to reapply everything all the time. LuMesh has a great palette of colors and shades to select from so there is a color for everyone. The price is a little steep but it does wear pretty well and it just may last longer than the usual lip gloss or lipstick and save you some money.
Review - Nixie Cream Foundation
Exceptionally bendable, smooth, emollient-based foundation formulated for professional makeup artists. $18.00
I got this in Ivory 3 when I initially looked at it, there really is nothing Ivory about it, I found that it looks more beige to me. I am usually very pale but thanks to my new airbrushed spray tan, I have color so I was able to use this color due to the tan. If I was going commando with no tan then it would be to dark for me. This is very easy to apply with a foundation brush. OMG, it absorbs into my skin completely and really gives my skin a very even tone. It leaves my skin with a semi matte finish and I don’t really need to finish with a powder so I have been just using a bronzer for a healthy sheen. I NEED to get this in my normal color tone! I really like this foundation. The lightness of it reminds me of Vincent Longo’s Water Canvas and the coverage is like Make Up Forever’s Mat Velvet. I wore it in very humid weather and even though I was sweating to death it didn’t separate from my face, sometimes foundation just drips off in the hot weather this became one with my skin, for the one reason it’s worth looking into! Great product and completely affordable, I encourage all to check their site out!
Hillary says:
I am the absolute palest of the pale, so I had no problem choosing my shade for this foundation. I simply chose the lightest. This foundation is an acne or discoloration haver's dream come true. It provides complete coverage without looking mask-like. I'll admit I was a bit heavy handed when I first put this cream on with a sponge as I don't usually use a sponge, but when I tried it again with a foundation brush and it worked perfectly. Totally covered the redness around my nose and the dark circles under my eyes. I didn't even have to spot cover anything. It's oil and paraben free to boot. This foundation has several ingredients to improve your skin such as squalane, vitamin E and hydrolyzed collagen. As an added bonus, all Nixie products are cruelty free and made in the U.S.A. I've loved every Nixie item I've tried. I highly recommend checking them out.
Sheba says:
I hate to sound like everyone else but this stuff is terrific. I actually did select a very good match for my skin tone - Ivory 7. I applied with a foundation brush as I am now very used to working with them. The results are incredible. You really do not need any concealer with this product and that is a miracle to me. My whole face usually needs concealer here and there. This covers all problem areas without that heavy look. It is a bit more visible than my usual 'mineral' look but it still appears pretty natural. It does give a matte look which I find to be very nice and soft. I seriously think that no one will need to go heavy with this foundation as it covers everything so well with just a light touch. I think I am actually wearing less foundation than when I use my mineral - as I use a concealer and a tone corrector, etc. under the foundation. I simply apply my moisturizer as I always do and go right to this foundation. Foundation is the perfect word or description of this. It leaves you with the perfect foundation/base to build upon. You can then apply your blush, lip, and eye products to a flawless looking face. I believe that I am going to need to make sure I have much more of this miracle worker in my make up arsenal. It is a superior product and it shows and feels like one.
Maria says:
I might as well hop on the Nixie love bandwagon with the caveat that I ordered the wrong shade for my skintone - I'm usually a level two in everything (fair skin/yellow to neutral undertones) but the Natural 2 was a smidge too dark - HOWEVER - that being said, as soon as I tried it, I went right to the Nixie sight to scout around for a foundation shade that would be more of a match -- it's just really, really nice. It gives you a perfect canvas to apply everything else - and everything else goes on as smooth as silk - leaving you with a "hey, I look pretty dang good" face. This is what I wished MAC's Studio Fix was but wasn't - so THERE, MAC - who needs ya?!! I applied with a Lancome Foundation brush - that application method worked really well for me. Last but not least - can you say VERY affordably priced???? Way to go,Nixie.
Amanda S. Says:
See, I tried this cream foundation with all the hopes and dreams listed above, but I didn't find it worked as well on me. I tried it on a friend and she had results she loved, but for some reason, on my skin, it clumped a little and went on too thick for my liking and seemed to streak a little, and I don't have oily skin (maybe my skin was a little too dry? I dunno). Anyway, it seems like everyone else had a great time with it, so there's a quality there that I missed out on. Give it a shot though if you like good coverage because my friend really liked it.
Deedlejuse Says:
This foundation is really heavy duty, when you go on their website you will notice that "camera ready finish" is the selling point. Well, I'm 24, I don't have wrinkles, acne, scars, or really any major imperfections of that kind. So it was really just too much for me. I used it as a concealer on a little red spot on the bridge of my nose, and it was more than enough coverage for spot control. The color I chose (Ivory 1) would be perfect for me in the winter, but I'm a little sun-kissed right now, so it was just a little too pale. Perhaps thats why I felt like I had so much make-up on, even though I mixed it with a light moisturizer to thin it a bit. Personally I don't need that kind of all encompassing foundation, so next time I'm going to try the Even Skin Mousse Foundation, which looks a little less intimidating to me. I love the Nixie stuff, and this would have been awesome if I was in a play or something, but for everyday I thought it was a bit much.
Joyce says:
Review- I really like this cream base. I don’t usually like cream bases because of how heavy they can feel on the skin . . . as though I’m wearing a mask (as some of my fellow bloggers wrote). Nixie’s is light, yet the coverage is both good and natural-looking. I also found it did well in blending my under-eye circles with the rest of my face (rather than reverse raccoon eyes that can happen with some concealers). I can say it didn’t block my pores or cause any unpleasant dermatology issues. In fact, I loved how my skin looked when I wore it – as though it was just my skin. Ivory 3 was a perfect match for my skin tone: mix between ivory and olive. I’ve been a mineral powder aficionado for years, but I find I grab this product first. Sometimes I put a light layering of mineral powder over it, but only about 10% of the time.
Review - Monroe 'Lady in Red' Ceramic Brush
Regular Price $23.99 ... Your Price $12.99
Sheba says:
This brush is not exactly what I was looking for but it turned out to be a nice surprise. I do find that it helps with the frizzies as it has been like we need Noah's ark around here lately. The rain and the humidity are killers for my fine naturally curly hair. This does help tame them and it works wonders while blow drying my hair. I have had it for a while -- but I had to learn how to use it properly for me. I had just so-so results with some of my techniques. But I now have the appearance of smooth hair with some body to it -- even in this 'rainforest' weather we have been experiencing. I have no idea how much longer the sale is on the brush at the above site but it is definitely a bargain at this price.

Review- Nutra Luxe Bio Peptide Complex
This serum is chock full of so many ingredients which are proven to be good for your skin I don't know where to start. In addition to the ingredients listed above, it contains idebenone which has the highest rating of all compounds in fighting environmental aging factors. I am not an especially wrinkly 35 year old, so I can't attest to the wrinkle fighting properties of this serum, but I will say I don't remember when my skin has looked this good. At first it didn't dawn on me why my skin was looking better (thick I know) but I had been using the Bio-Peptide Complex for about a week when I realized I didn't need as heavy a moisturizer at night (I use it in the morning). I need an additional light moisturizer with this serum as I have extremely dry skin, but for normal to dry skin you won't need an additional moisturizer which is good because the consistency of the serum makes it the perfect make-up base. It feels a little like Dr. Feelgood by Benefit, but Dr. Feelgood doesn't have Vitamin C, Vitamin E or DMAE like Nutra Luxe Bio-Peptide Complex does. If you can afford it, I highly recommend this serum for keeping your skin in tip-top shape.
Joyce says:
My 50s complexion became noticeably smoother within a few days of using this product. I did what the bottle recommended and didn’t use any other moisturizer (morning and night) so I could give it a good opportunity to prove itself. It did. The only thing I noticed is that when I put it on, I needed to let it rest on my skin before applying any powder or non-powder base. If I gave it about five minutes . . . no problem. I realized how much I was enjoying it when I saw that the bottle is “thisclose” to empty and I wished I could snap my fingers and refill it.
Sheba says:
If you are willing to dig down deep to pay the $128 -- this product is dynamite. My face is a perfect canvas of fine and not so fine lines to watch any improvements on. I can make them disappear by just looking in the mirror without my glasses on - however, that doesn't do the trick for other people looking at me. After using this product for a while - believe me, there are improvements!! I noticed a bit of firming in the skin within days and I actually thought the lines appeared to be a tad less noticeable. Well, as time went on I can now see that my skin is definitely firmer and the lines seem to be much less noticeable. You might say -- sure you want to see those results when you spend that kind of money so you will see them even if they aren't there. Well, I thought that myself until people actually commented that I looked less tired or a little more refreshed or something. A few actually asked what I am doing as my face seems to be more glowing -- they could not put their finger on the exact difference. . . or they may be just too polite to say -- your lines seem to be fading or something. It is nice that people are noticing but that means I will need to keep up the regime or they will notice me slipping back into facial road maps. Maybe I can locate where Nutra Luxe Bio Peptide Complex is conjured up and get a job there so I can dip myself in it every day. Seriously, I am a cheapskate but it is worth a few sacrifices to get these results.
P. S. I cannot believe my eyes -- I just spotted this on EBay for $25.00 and $36.00 plus shipping and handling. (8/16) The $25 is an auction so it will be higher by the time it sells but the others were Buy it now. Why am I telling people who might now bid against me?? Could it be due to the fact I have enough for now and plan on looking again in the near future. I have to share this information-- save a lot of money!!
Maria says:
I wanted to wait a bit before I posted a review b/c the Bio-Peptide Complex contains Idebenone - and that just gave me horrible flashbacks of my experience with Prevage which contains that particular ingredient (I broke out in the worst rash EVER - it was horrible and took days to go away...) so I'm still slowly introducing it - HOWEVER - in the areas that I've been using it, around my mouth and eyes, something really nice seems to happen - there's a firmness there or something I can't quite put my finger on - but it's noticiable...I feel like my foundation goes on a little nicer- a little smoother - I'm going to be brave and try it along my jawline next week and if all goes well, then we have a definite winner (albeit an expensive can-I-really-justfity-spending-this winner). I love that this product is chock full of the good stuff - thereby eliminating additional steps in a routine. I know it says that no additional moisturizer is necessary, but I do find I need to put a little something more on top b/c my skin is very dry.
Review- Avon Hydrofirming Eye Cream
Instant results:
• Over 85% increase overall firmness.
• Over 100% boost in skin’s moisture.
On sale- $6.99
You asked for a less expensive eye cream alternative and here it is! This nighttime eye cream is everything dry eye skin needs. This cream can repair peeling skin in just 2-3 nights. It's not so heavy that your eyes feel suffocated, but they do feel very relieved if they are dry. Firmness isn't a big concern of mine, so I can't attest to the firming factor. I use a prescription retinoid on my face and sometimes on my eyes and if I over do it (which I'm prone to do) this takes care of the scales. Plus, look at the price! Even when it's not on sale it's only $10.50. I'm a big fan of Avon. I'm not saying they deliver on all their promises (because they do make some tall ones), but I find their formulations generally stand up to scrutiny. Not only because of the price, but because of the quality, you can't go too wrong with this moisturizing eye cream.
Sheba says:
Hillary, even if the price is only $10.50 I say never buy Avon unless it is on sale as it will go on sale and you will kick yourself for not waiting. Then stock up on it so you will never have to buy it at regular price. This eye cream is all it says but I totally agree with Hillary on this point: that does not mean that all their products deliver exactly what they say. There are many exaggerations- I do not end up looking like the 20 something model who is shown for anti wrinkle creams. I also discovered that Avon, as well as many lines, has many people allergic to something in one of their products. This particular cream does seem to act on its promises. I, myself, am addicted to many of Avon's Anew line also. Again, I never buy unless they are on sale and sometimes the price is even better on Ebay.

Review - Chic by Carolina Herrera for Women Eau de Parfum Spray
Launched in 2002, Chic by Carolina Herrera is ultra sheek and feminine. Chic opens with an aromatic blend of fresh cut florals embrassed with a sensual woody base notes. Contains Madarin flower, orange flower, vanilla, white musk, red freesia and Bulgarian petals. The bottle is contemporarily simple yet abstract with style. 1.7 oz. $60.00 --------on sale at above site for $24.95
I received a generous sample of Chic and have been wearing it off and on for a few weeks. It is a very fragrant blend of many different scents and it bathes you in its luxurious aroma. I found it to be a tad strong at first for my taste, however, it did fade a little relatively quickly and I enjoyed it much more then. I think it has a sophisticated and classic scent which can be worn day and/or night. Again, wear it according to your taste. I prefer a light spray whereas you might like a bit heavier dose. I just happened upon a sale at this web site. . . and that is a pretty deep discounted sale price.

I bet the conditioner is totally awesome too.

Review - Avon NAIL EXPERTS Nail Brightener
Brush on a bright-white shine...see glowing results instantly! Optical brightening pearls perk up dull, discolored nails. Add a second coat to intensify brightness or refresh your look. Does not contain harsh bleach or peroxide. .4 fl. oz. $6.00
I purchased this from one of their 'Clearance' sales at about $2 and what a great bargain it turned out to be!! I just wish I had bought several. My nails had been looking very dull and even clear did not seem to help. All I had to lose was the $2 so why not try this? It glides on very easily and dries extremely fast! All I applied was one coat and I was genuinely surprised at the results. It says it is a bright white shine -- with pearls to perk up dull -- well, that is exactly what it is. Although I don't actually see the white too much. It definitely brightens the nails and it has been on for over a week with not even one chip. No base or top coat. . . just one coat of this product!! This would have been a life saver back in the days when I smoked and had 'nicotine' nails. If one coat lasts this long -- I will have this for a long time to come. I have said it before and I'll say it again -- NEVER buy any Avon item that is not on sale. They always go on sale. Many are EBay bargains also. However, this is best without the shipping costs. Wait for a sale and pick some up. You will not regret it. You can use it alone, on top of another color to add a pearl shimmer or use a couple of coats and see the results.

Review - Chi Olive Nutrient Therapy - Spritz
This hairspray is much like the rest of the products by this line; the results are beautiful and really deliver what they advertise. At first I was very weary of this product. The very first ingredient is Alcohol, which I must admit scared me a little. Well more than a little, how good can it possibly be to spray alcohol onto your hair? Of all things that sounds like it would be drying and cause it to look brittle after a few weeks, right? I have now been using this spritz for about 3 weeks, not every day but close, and I have noticed no ill affects at all. In fact quite the opposite. The spritz keeps everything in place, but still allows you to touch your hair without that crunchy brittle feeling that some hair sprays can leave behind. Right after the first use you notice how incredibly shiny your hair looks, but after two weeks it looks healthier and shinier even when I don't apply. I have been using the shampoo and conditioner from the same line also so it could have been a combination of all the lovely essential oils being infused into my lucky hair. Whatever, I'm not complaining!
As a side note I must also say that the smell of alcohol is quite strong when you first spray, but it fades quickly to leave that light olive oil citrus that the rest of the products from this line seem to have. Also the bottle is HUGE, I don't think I'll ever be able to use it up. If you like to use hairspray you will be more than happy with this Nutrient Therapy Spritz.

Review - Monroe Brush "Glamur"
I have the Monroe Brush in Glamur which is a wonderful finishing round brush. It is not the one pictured above, but pretty close. This round brush is without a doubt one of the best hair brushes that my hair has ever seen. The bristles are much easier on the locks than plastic, I have not been noticing any tearing or pulling, even with my very long chemically processed hair. The brush really adds shine to my hair. I have been using it everyday, whether I blow dry or not, and my hair looks so soft, shiny and healthy. I cannot rave enough about this brush. It is fantastic and amazing. Though it might cost a little bit more than some brushes, it really is worth it. I'm addicted, I can't imagine not having it, or what I did before. Thank you Monroe!
Joyce says:
Review- Anyone with thin, fine hair such as mine usually learns that the best brush is a natural bristle brush, which prevents damage to the hair. I tried the hourglass-shaped “round” brush for fine to medium processed hair that promises to close hair cuticles and add shine. I followed the directions which say not to wind hair around it as you typically do with round brushes, but to take a section and pull the brush through slowly. At first I thought they had to be crazy; but as I kept doing this, I saw fullness at the crown and a smoother, shinier texture. Frankly, I was pleasantly surprised. The teaser brush also made me happy. Anytime I’ve teased sections before, even if I practically shellacked my hair with spray, the lift didn’t last; this is not so for this teaser brush—the effect lasts. And, because the bristles are natural, I’m not seeing any damage at all.

Review - Myrabelle Mascara Shield
Use under TOP and BOTTOM eyelashes to avoid mascara dabs and smudges
I was a little hesitant about the necessity of a product like this because I have been using mascara for years and rarely if ever seem to make a grave eye poking smear across the skin surrounding my eyes. But I gave it a shot for 5 days and i realized that when I used it, I got mascara much more at the base of my lashes than I had been before, and it made my lashes look a lot thicker and seem to give it more staying power, and of course also did what it said, it stopped me from sleepily smudging mascara onto my under eye or eyelid when trying to apply it. It's a cute idea and it definitely made my lashes look fuller.
Deedlejuse says:
My lashes are naturally quite dark, and thick even though I have blond hair. So I generally don't put mascara on my lower lashes. I always feel like it makes the lashes underneath look too pronounced, and it makes me feel kind of weird. After using the Mascara Shield I now believe that the look I was actually achieving before was just clumpy mascara. When I use the Mascara Shield I noticed a world of difference. My lashes now look lightly darker, and not messy. It definitely reduces the risk of me smearing mascara under my eyes. It might not sound like something worth wasting time with, but honestly I noticed a vast improvement in the ease of application, and it makes your eyes look great.
CitySlicker Says:
Just like Deedlejuse mentioned, I too don’t usually use mascara on my lower lashes. When I do I don’t have a problem with application. Testing out the mascara shield allowed me to easily apply to my lashes; it’s easy to use and effective. I found that I didn’t have to be as careful when applying. I think anyone could benefit from using a mascara shield and I truly think makeup artists could reap the benefits too.
Review- Cor Soap by Plank Designs
Cor soap is the first soap I've ever used that imparts sunscreen on the skin. I find that so cool. After all, a girl can never get enough sunscreen! It also has silver in it which is a great anti-bacterial. This soap has a lower PH than most bar soaps so it cleans without stripping your skin. They say to lather your face and leave it on for 2 minutes but I guess my skin is too sensitive for that because I couldn't take it. I'm fine using it if I wash it off like a regular soap. Cor soap is expensive, no doubt, but if you saw the little sliver I got that I've been using for about 3 weeks, you'd believe them when they say that a regular bar lasts 6-9 months. When you consider that you'll only have to buy this soap 2 times a year at most, the price seems more reasonable.
Review - Mario Badescu Fruit and Vitamin A&D Hand Cream
Vitamin rich Fruit Extracts smooth and soften skin while providing protection from harmful sun damage. Made with Orange Extract to rejuvenate dull skin. (SPF-10)
Good for All Skin Types
4oz. - $10.00
As stated in the name this hand cream contains fruits and Vitamins A + D. It does have a slight fruity fragrance (not citrus though). Personally I like the fact that it is lightly scented as more heavy scents can clash with your cologne or even overpower it. Fear not - this one won't do either. It is NOT greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. You are left with a very soft silky feeling. You really do not need much, I found that just a little dab does the job for me. I am a dog owner, and, as such, I wash my hands frequently. I love my little stinker but after I pet him I wash my hands. Constant washing does dry out the skin something fierce. Mario to the rescue . . . one dilemma solved. Other creams also work as well but some have a greasey feel to them while others feature a very strong fragrance. This hand cream does the job for me.
