I have never seen Ruby Kisses before I received this basket of goodies, and I am lucky enough to be able to try quite a few of their products. I like them all, and they all seem pretty affordable. It is a little difficult to get an idea of what the company is all about, but all in all I think I like the fresh Urban feel of it. The Lip Salvation I was lucky enough to receive is clear, but you can also get it in colors. The packaging of this lippy is pretty standard, it works well and is no fuss which I like. It feels pretty utilitarian, which I really like because if I'm using a clear lip gloss with Shea butter, organic mint leaves and jojoba seed oil I want to be searching for this kind of tube in my bag. You just get the idea of comfort when you feel the package in your hand while searching through your bag! I didn't get much of a tingling feeling on my lips, which I was searching for because the scent is definitely there. I'm happy when I use it, my lips seem conditioned and it lasts a really long time. This product is awesome for under $6 I'm very happy and so are my lips!

OH MY GOD THIS LIP BALM TASTES SO GOOD YOU GUYS.

I don't even like maple all that much, except when it's made into snow candy a la Little House in the Big Woods. Like, maple syrup is fine, but I'm not going to eat one of those maple candies shaped like a leaf. But this lip gloss! It just tastes sweet and nice.

It feels like maybe it's a little bit exfoliating? Like there is actually sugar in it? But there isn't. It's just nice, natural lip balm from our friends in Canada. I'm not saying you should rush out and buy it, but if you see it, try it, especially if you like maple.

Review - L'Occitane Desert Rose Hugs & Kisses

L'Occitane En Provence is one of those companies I just really like. They are employing 12,000 women in Burkina Faso (not that I know where that is) and use the highest quality Shea Butter in all their products. I seriously love this brand. Their hand cream is something I have been using for years, it isn't oily or greasy and sucks right in so there isn't any residue like with some other hand creams I have used. The scent on this one is very light, almost not there at all which I like, and I'm not a big rose person but I can honestly say I like it. Its nice and clean, like you just washed your hands. The lip balm in this set isn't my favorite, its super moisturizing and very emollient but I just can't dig a lip balm that smells like flowers....... personal preference is all! If you like rose, and like a super natural clean smelling rose you will love it, I would just rather whipped cream or vanilla personally! As for the price point, $19? ehhhh it's a lot, but it goes to a great cause and keeps those lady's in business! I'll throw down 20 bucks for some awesome hand cream and lip balm (both a little goes a long way) that will keep me hydrated and happy for this bitter winter weather, plus it makes a GREAT little gift idea.

I'm not a lip balm snob, but this sure is one remarkable lip balm! It contains 34% Shea Butter and it really does feel like you're rubbing pure silk over your lips without any of the messy greasiness or stickiness on the side. At first there was a slight licorice taste to me, which if you don't like licorice, please beware (because I really don't), but because I love this balm soo soo much, I quickly got over the taste and now fully embrace this incredible balm! It makes my lips feel super smooth for a long time and even though I don't really need to reapply the balm during the day, I just want to because I love the way it feels. I'm becoming strangely addicted. On the good side, it doesn't dry your lips out or leave them feeling chapped either, you just want to re-apply more of that silkiness on! This is definitely for lip balm snobs, addicts, and new initiates for myself. Once you get used to this unique balm, it's hard to imagine wanting anything else!

Melissa says: I agree with Trish, this product goes on like silk. It has such a nice feel on your lips and makes them feel so soft. It also lasts a long time and it does not leave your lips chapped (two of my biggest concerns with lip balms). I love the fact that can be used all over. I've already used it to tame some stray hairs and some dry spots too. The best part is that it does not contain petroleum, dyes or artificial fragrances.

Review - Softlips Pure Hydrating Lip Butter

First of all, Softlips, does your website REALLY need to be some sort of Flash bonanza? People just want to learn about lip balm, not be hypnotized by rotating lip balms. It's too much.

Second, I did not actually try this product. Sometimes, a girl has a lot of Softlips products, and one day, her boss is like, "oh man, my lips are DRY," and she gives her boss one of the Softlips products with the stipulation that said boss will try the product and report back to her. Which is what my boss did.

"It smells really good, and it tastes good too, but not too good," she said. "You know how sometimes, you really like how your lip stuff tastes, and then you lick it all off, and then your lips are just as bad off as before? This one doesn't do that. So that was good."

I told her I knew a girl in high school who liked to eat chapstick. Like, straight-up EAT it, out of the little pots it came in. Gross! Then I asked her if there was anything she didn't like.

"It has sunscreen in it, which is good, but I feel like it's just sort of sitting on top of my lips and not getting absorbed in, you know? Like it's coating them but it's not treating them, if that makes sense."

I think it makes perfect sense.

It's summertime and the sun's rays are bearing down on us even more noticeably. Whether at the beach, at a bbq, sitting by the pool or just running errands, I figured I needed to upgrade my summer beauty routine and add more sun-protection products like this Softlips lip balm! There's a great consistency to the balm as I feel the SPF coverage working, plus the added care makes me feel better whenever I'm out and about. It's especially useful for protecting sunburn or even windburn and now I'm even more mindful than before to not leave home without protecting the lips from harmful rays! The only catch for me is that I've noticed I needed to reapply this lip balm at least once more than usual during the day - probably from the added SPF protection- but all in all it's worth it so that your lips will stay moisturized and protected during these hot and steamy summery days!

Sultana says: I have this one in Natural Honesty which is a nice nude tint. Pretty enough to wear with my everyday makeup, yet gentle and pure enough to put on at night. I like the fact that its thick, it goes on and it feels like its there. However, its a bit sticky. Also, it doesn't really have a scent. Then again, what would Natural Honestly smell like??

Melissa says: I have the peppermint flavor and love it. It goes on nicely and the peppermint gives a nice burst of goodness to my lips! It doesn't dry out my lips and has been keeping my lips soft. The line comes in a lot of flavors such as vanilla, cherry, and many others so you can find what flavor you like and keep your lips soft too. Oh, it also has SPF 20 which is a must in any lip gloss!

I am a certified lip balm/gloss lunatic! I believe that lips need daily moisture in order to look better with or without lipstick. When I got this, I was very intrigued. It promises visibly healthier lips in 3 days. I never though Neosporin would make something like this since they usually make first-aid products.
OK the good is, it has SPF 20 which is a plus. The bad is that it tastes like medicine! Which really sucked because I liked this so much! If they made this in flavors, maybe it would be better. As for the healthier lips in 3 days, I think it did what it was supposed to.

Hillary says: I couldn't disagree more with Sultana! I am LOVING this stuff! It has saved my always dry lips. I've got this one, which is the day formula, and the night formula. I've been using them religiously and I've noticed a vast improvement in the state of my lips. I'm not sure it only took 3 days, but I'm officially hooked and I'm getting a little down thinking about the fact that I've used most of both the day and the night formulas. Luckily it's totally affordable and you can find it at a lot of drugstores. I don't get a taste from it at all. The other day I left the house without lip balm and was 6 flights down on the street and seriously considered going back to my apartment to get some. I'm just that addicted. I have to admit that I was sceptical when I was contacted by the Neosporin folks to review their new lip balms, but I'm so glad I said yes. The level of moisture these products impart on your lips is comparable to department store lip balms I have owned. Ah, yes. And the day formula has my beloved SPF! These get 2 thumbs up from me. Oh, did I mention I got a time machine and went back to the 70's, so I now think that giving the thumbs up is hip? Just thought I'd add that.

Trish says: I have the Neosporin Overnight Renewal therapy - and so far it seems to work nicely as a night repair treatment. I recently ran out of my regular lip balm and started using this as a quick substitute because it was easily within reach. I know it's meant for nighttime renewing, but I really like this for daytime use! It seems to stay on for hours during the day, softens my lips, and adds that extra bit of moisture and fullness to my lips. So I can't complain, as a multi-tasking lip balm/repair therapy - I'm fully embracing this little gem of hydration! On a side note: I'm not too particular about lip balm - as long as it works and it doesn't dry out my lips, I'm pretty happy. With this lip balm, it works and doesn't cause any further complications - so I'm pretty pleased!

I first discovered Jack Black's lip balm after greeting my boyfriend one day after work. After a big huge and kiss, I noticed he smelled curiously lemony. Yum, yum, yum, this organic lip balm couldn’t get any better. I’m a firm believer that for any lip product, you have to take some time to evaluate it. At first, any balm may seem great, but after a few hours in may dry your lips or even make them burn.

I used Danielle and Company Lip Balm for three straight days, touching up throughout different parts of the day. I was surprised with how long the balm moisturized my lips—even after a meal and a drink, it stayed on. I also used it as a base underneath my lipstick and it transformed my normally matte look, into a well-moisturized glow. Plus, the sweet smell of lime was a nice touch. You can get this lip balm at Danielle and Company for $3 or at other specialty cosmetic stores nationwide.

Movie Maven says: Well said! It's definitely worth trying products for a few days before evaluating them to get a sense of how they'll fit into your normal regimen (if they do at all). As a gal who typically has nothing but Chapstick on her lips, this Danielle and Company lip balm was a welcome addition to my stable of lip treatments with no color to them. The lime flavor was nice - pretty strong, so beware - but definitely natural-tasting, which is preferable to a flavor that tastes like it was concocted in a lab. I enjoyed the moisturizing properties of this balm: it stayed on admirably, but I could re-apply at my leisure to experience the lime surge again whenever I wanted! The only (extremely minor) issue I had with this product was the label: I have had lip products with a paper label (as opposed to a glossy sticker label) before, and they tend to get very dirty when tumbling around in my bag, so be forewarned if that's something that would bother you. As for me, I don't mind a bit, as long as the product inside is as good as this stuff. Thumbs up!

Josephine adds: I feel like I just did a shot of tequila. The lime is major. I am with you two, the balm produces the desired effect.

I knew this girl in high school who would eat her lip gloss. Not just put a lot on and lick it off constantly - she would straight-up eat it. One time, she got one of those things that looks like a watercolor paint set, except it was different flavors and colors of lip gloss, and I swear, by the end of second period: gone.

It may be for this reason that I prefer a lip gloss with a subtler flavor to one that literally tastes like candy. I have seen how easy it was for this girl to spiral into a life of consuming something that should never be consumed (at least, at that rate and in that quantity), and I don't want to fall into the same trap with too-sweet lip gloss.

Which is why I like this Coola Lip Lux with SPF 15. It tastes pleasantly of Christmastime - peppermint and vanilla - but to a degree that is ladylike. Subtle. Not necessarily something you'd want to devour. But delicious nonetheless. You do have to reapply it fairly frequently, but hey - it's a lip balm, not a long-lasting gloss. It's soft, smooth, an overall solid product. I also enjoy the packaging quite a bit - it looks like what someone in the 1960s would have imagined lipstick packaging in the 1980s to be. Double retro!

Amanda S. Says: Oh... MM. How do I even follow this up without seeming silly? Can we sit on a beach this summer and split a lip gloss? OK OK, fine maybe not. But this stuff is really fun. I lose lip balm, chapsticks, whatever you want to call them, all the time. This one I'm actually really too attached to. So attached to that I won't put it in my purse, and am leaving it in the medicine cabinet where it won't slip off into darkness. The package is so cute and the flavor is so awesome. Maybe I need to just buy a few more?

Trish Says: I tried the Original-Scented version and loved the organic fruity taste. It has a real soft and subtle hint of raspberry fruit and avocado, and is almost nutritious tasting and healthy. The certified organic lip balm (with SPF30 protection) applies on smoothly, buttery-like, and feels like soft kisses on your lips. My only caveat is that I think it dries my lips out a little and then I really do have to apply and re-apply the balm. Not that I mind because it's such a lovely feel, hence the habit-forming nature of the product. If you're an addict of lip balm, this is the perfect product enabler...but, if you're somewhat like me and want to moisturize the lips as little as possible, you may have to be warned. Not only is the product sweet and addictive, it makes you come back for more! (And more).

I tired the Original version of this. I agree with Trish that it has a very subtle flavor. I am a lip balm junkie. I NEED to have my lips moisturized constantly or else I feel kind of inadequate! I put this on before I go to bed at night and I wake up with most of it still on. I love the flavor although I think I would prefer the Peppermint flavor more.
It leaves my lips super soft and it has staying power which is a plus. Overall, the scent is nice and it works! I say yes!

Josephine says: To show the power of the beautifile word of mouth, this balm had been in my loot bag but I hadn't try it yet. Behold the glowing reviews according to my compadres! All of the sudden, I needed more than anything to experience it for myself! True to their expert opinion, the contents of this tube of incredible are so smooth, I'm positive I let out an audible sigh as soon as it touched my lips. Also, it has an SPF which makes its stock go way up. In closing, anything with a starlight mint in its ad campaign is good.

I took this little tube with me to Martha's Vineyard (a little town off the coast of MA) last weekend on the off chance that there would be some sun (it has been incredibly rainy here for the last month :() and I lucked out! Both with the sun shining, but also with the complete lack of sunburn from the roots of my hair to my body and best of all lips! This little tube not only feels great, tastes good and lasts a good long time, but it will also really protect your lippies from the harmful rays of the sun. I cannot live for more than 15 minutes without lip balm. My dry pucker is in constant need of moisture. My lips have met their new best friend in Mario Badescu Lip Wax (SPF 15). I'm head-over-heels in love! Not only does this wax feel great, not only does it have my beloved sunscreen, but it also lasts and lasts. I put it on before I go to bed & it's still there when I wake up. I'm in awe! My lips haven't been this pampered in a long time. And despite the fact it contains extract of Black Currant (which I would hate if it was strong), it has no taste whatsoever. It's everything I look for in a lip balm- and so affordable. Now I just need one for every room! P.S. I've been back to buy this stuff 3 times since my first tube. I'm addicted!

Says: I've been desperate for a collection of lip balms and glosses with sun protection after reading in the news that regular lip gloss lacking in some sort of sunscreen can increase the risk of skin cancer around the mouth and on the lips! Mario Badescu makes great product anyway, so I was more than happy to see this is SPF 15 and wow.... it goes on super smooth and is so silky and great, not waxy or clumpy like some lip waxes can be. I am using this as my primary lip product when I'm out in the sun and need some protection.

Joyce says: This lovely, lightly scented lip balm has a softer texture than most. It glides over lips rather than drags, and instantly makes lips feel good. The first time I put it on I did what most people do: I pressed and moved my lips together to make sure it was evenly distributed. I remember thinking, “This Feels Really Good,” and wished someone was on hand to kiss. I highly recommend it. Just heed my warming: use of this product may cause you to find someone to use it on in a lip-to-lip encounter.

CitySlicker Says: I can’t live without out a lip balm; I use it underneath my lippie in the AM and slather it on at night... Upon my first application I notice that this is different than others I have used, this is nothing like Chapstick. It feels very soft to the lips touch. It’s also very light & delivers moisture. My lips feel smooth and relaxed after a day of heavy drying gloss too. I will not be taking this out of the house, therefore no risk of losing a new fav! It also adds enough shine to wear alone and get a pretty shine too!

Deedlejuse says: Um, I'm sorry but this is the absolute best lip whatever I have ever tried. Literally I don't think that "Lip Wax" is an appropriate name for this lovely stick of wonderfulness. My lips are softer than ever, yes ever, and the initial 5 min. of having it on are like pure bliss. It doesn't have a flavor, which I love because I don't lick my lips when that is the case. The scent, which I think Joyce said was lovely, is. It is so light and unobtrusive, not really minty, but not coconut, I don't know it is just nice. I think that the best part is definitely that it feels like the entire stick is going on to your lips in one fell swipe, but really there is absolutely no difference in the amount there was before you put it on. Please, please, please give your lips the pleasure of this lip wax!

Sheba says: Me too!!! They should change the name -- lip wax is NOT appropriate. Wax fits Chapstick. 'Lip Silk' might better give customers an idea of what to expect inside this plain little tube. I have had excellent experience with Mario Badescu products and this one is at the top. I was afraid that anything good for your lips and that protects them from the sun might have to be waxy and medicinal. I am so glad I am wrong. This is smoothing something very soothing over your lips that not only looks good -- but it DOES good. You can wear it just for protection and/or for the great shine that it provides. It also has some staying power - even for me -- who wears anything off quite fast. This lasts for a while. I now need to pick up a few more. Once I find something that works this well -- I want one at home, one in the purse, one in the car, and one in the desk at the office. I do not think that is overdoing -- especially with a product like this. Mario Badescu has done it again!!

Maria says: You know, I was never a big fan of lipbalms - every one I had ever tried left me with filmy, waxy, cakey lips that felt coated and yukky.....I was a just-say-no- to lipbalmer....And then things got interesting.....Last year I decided to give them another shot and found a couple that I deemed VERY worthy. Now this little tube of magic from Mario Badescu? I love it. It feels so amazing going on - smoothing, soothing, but with a lovely shine as well - a shine that lasts a VERY long time WITHOUT the sudden urge I had always had in the past to wipe it off b/c it had started to feel waxy and icky on. This does not do that at all. On the contrary - your lips feel pampered and comforted. I kind of have to have it with me at all times. And out of the Sahara-like climes of a northern winter comes an oasis for your lips, in the form of this lip wax. Now, unlike some of my fair colleagues on this blog, I am not one to wax rhapsodic about lip product. I have a lot of it, but I tend to lose it very quickly in one of my many purses. But this lip wax...it makes me want to write poetry. It is so good. You will love it. That is all.

Review- Kiss My Face Coconut Pineapple Lip Balm

This lip balm is %72 organic. It soothes, smoothes and protects chapped lips with an SPF 15.

The scent of this lip balm reminds me of a Pina Colada (my favorite drink). Most of the ingredients are of organic origin and it's made in a NOP (National Organic Program) facility. It has a comprehensive SPF 15 protecting from both UVA & UVB rays. The balm contains lots of "good for you" ingredients such as beeswax, aloe juice, vitamin E and royal jelly. The consistancy is nice and soft without being overly mushy. It works well under lipstick. I really like this balm and the Kiss My Face way of producing it makes me feel good about using it.

I have to whole-heartedly agree with Hillary on everything. I absolutely LOVE Pina Colada (who doesn't right?) but I have a bit of trouble with milk so I can never drink them :( My answer to this dilemma is finding the best Pina Colada scented beauty products and slathering myself with them. Kiss My Face has done a great job with this natural lip balm, and it has an SPF to boot! I'm so excited, usually all of the best Pina Colada smells are in cheapo dollar store lotions that you know aren't good for you.... So this is really a fave. It also stays on longer than most of my current lip balms which are just too emoliant (there is a point where you want your lip balm to stand up for itself!) What a great find! And It's Kiss My Face so you know its affordable. Two thumbs up!

Kiss My Face Coconut Pineapple Lip Balm is several notches above some of the best lip balms I have tried and used. Personally, I do not like Coconut and was a bit hesitant to try it but it is not overpowering -- it has the exact right amount for the Pina Colada taste. It's 100% organic. It goes on nice, smooth and light. It's not at all waxy or oily. It's not too hard and not too soft. It's just right. It has a matte finish, so it's perfect for men and women who want to protect and moisturize their lips but don't want the high-shine that goes along with most lip balms. This balm stays put, which means that you don't need to keep reapplying every few minutes.

I know, I totally know what your thinking "Tea Tree in a lip balm... Yuck!" The company's policies on waste and recycling are to be commended, and they try to use fair trade ingredients. Um, yeah... I think all companies should be this contentious. BUT... The really important part is how the Balm works, right? Well I have to tell you I have been using it on and off for about a week now, and I love it. The mint is mild and refreshing, and the Tea Tree is hardly noticable smell wise, it does it's job in the curing cracks and chappedness department, though. It is made with all of these wonderful moisture-giving oils and butters so your skin feels so soft, and protected, and It really stays put. Just the solution for super-chapped winter lips!

I have an Orange/Vanilla flavor which is one of my personal favorite scents so I am very happy with it. It does offer excellent protection from the sun. I know that I go through lipstick incredibly fast so I don't take any chances with sun protection -- I reapply frequently. You will have no hang-ups from me when it comes to spending a little bit more on a far superior product. When I first went looking for this Butterfly Lip Nectar online I was shocked to see that it cost $7, and in fact you cannot ( I don't think) find it for less anywhere. Now,I know that you can find glosses that cost way less than this, but they are really not comparable. Holly Beth's products are all 100% natural and organic, they are inspired from Homeopathic Remedies from around the globe, and are created with care for our environment. They are based out of Georgia, and it looks like they try to use a lot of the locally grown plants. I think that is wonderful. I also think that the fact that this lip balm has Lysine in it is awesome. For anyone who is prone to lip or mouth sores of any kind you might know that lysine is the vitamin you should take when you first start feeling it. Thus, it only makes sense that having a daily dose of lysine in your lip balm is probably really good for lips.
I love everything about this Lip Nectar, from the way it glides on to the way it wears for ever. It smells faintly of orange and mint and makes your mouth tingle just a teensy bit. Love it, the only down side is that it does not have an SPF. All in all though, I now completely understand why it would cost a couple bucks more than a regular chap stick. Still for under $10 you are nurturing your lips and the environment at the same time. How could you possibly do better than that?

Review - Alba Lip Balm Coconut Cream

I am a sucker for coconuts, and that sounds stupid but any body lotion, cream, shampoo, or perfume I am all over it. It is without a doubt one of my very favorite smells so when I was at the drugstore the other day and I saw Alba's Coconut Cream Lip Gloss I snatched it up. I really like it, it is more protective and a bit waxier than some other types of lip balms I have used recently. That is a bonus though, because even I can't lick my lips clean in minutes. Really it stays put for at least an hour, even though it is slightly flavored with coconut. AND it is 82% organic! love that. The only problem is doesn't have an SPF, but it looks like they have a kind that does on their website.
Just as a side note, you will probably notice that there is a poor review on pharmacy.com, where I found this product for the best price. I personally had a very good experience, but it seems others might not have.

I must have dozens of lip balms and I only use a few of the best regularly. This is one of them. It goes on very smoothly and stays silky smooth all the time it is on. There is no waxiness or wax taste that many balms do have. Ithink the combination of shea butter and honey is an important part of the reason that it is so silky. It has the slightest tint but it is a very natural one. It simply looks like you have a 'shine' product on. The tint gives your lips a slightly more healthy appearance that you don't get with an untinted balm. It does work on the chapped lips and they are soon very smooth and soft. It will also prevent chapped lips when in use as it keeps the lips nice and hydrated. It seems that $10 is around the price for most of your decent lip balms. . . and you do get a pretty good sized little container. It should last a while. . . so you get your money's worth.

I wouldn't care if this lip balm smelled like garbage, look how cute the container is!!!! It's perfect for rolling around in the bottom of my purse without popping open or collecting gross fuzz, and it's cute cute cute. The good news is, it's cheap (around $5) and is actually really great lip balm without weird scary ingredients (I read somewhere that some medicated lip balms contain LEAD, and ever since that I have been a lip balm ingredient hound) annnnd it is SPF 20 which is great sun protection. For $5 it's a cute little gift for someone, or for yourself. I totally love it.

I agree with Amanda that this is very nice lip balm. It feels awesome on your lips and I even loved the shine it gave. SPF 20 is awesome for lip balm, so that is another plus. At first I admit I could not take this little ball seriously, I mean it sort of looks like a mushroom or something, but it really was very convenient. There are very few things in my bag that are shaped like that so it was easy to locate. It closes very tightly and there is no chance of the top popping off, so I was never worried about sticky gloss getting everywhere. I would definitely give this as a gift, and I will keep mine handy in my bag, what an interesting idea, very clever!

I love the convenience of this lip balm! My purse is so vast that I had to buy a purse organizer to wrangle all of my junk. I usually have at least 5 lipsticks/ lip balms on me at a time, so the shape of this lip balm, for me, is cause for celebration. It's a good lip balm, very hydrating and it stays on forever. As an added bonus, it tastes delicious. I'm not sure what it tastes like, but it's some kind of candy. Anyone that reads my posts knows that I am a stickler for sunscreen. I have to be honest, this lip balm offers the bare minimum of UVA protection even though it says SPF 20. I'm not so worried about the lack of protection as I never see daylight without lipstick on, but this is not for a day at the beach. For all other times I find it handy and effective.

I had a very different reaction to the Ballmania. I found that minutes after applying my lips felt like they were burning and irritated. I loved the sweet taste and light shine I got.. I couldn't keep it on my lips.. They literally looked like I was getting a red ring around my mouth. I couldn't risk it so I wiped it off. I thought it was a fluke but I have attempted to put it on about 10 times. I think the formula just isn't for me.. I am so in love with the packaging that I wanted to force my lips to love it but I have had no luck.. I am sorry but if I am going to stay true to myself, I want to share my thoughts. I also want to mention that the taste is a light sweet vanilla. I think it's dream but am totally bummed that I can't wear it.. I mean I am down in the dumps. I have been using one of these for about a month off and on. They are different - packaged as soccer, basket, baseballs, etc. Yes, the packaging is unique and clever, especially if you are into the packaging. The main thing is the balm and it is very good. It goes on very smoothly and has staying power, even for someone who constantly licks her lips. The flavor is NOT overpowering. I would say this is up there with my favorites. . . however, you do need to order a six pack. They are not very expensive but I am not really used to buying lip balms in quantity -- unless they are on sale. All in all I would say I am very happy with this lip balm.

Sheba says: This is a very smooth and gentle lip balm. I do have to say it is very comparable to Burt's Bees. . . but I like them equally. This is definitely not waxy as many balms are. It goes on very smoothly and it does seem to have the staying power. It definitely benefits my lips as they do feel much better from using it. I like using it at night so it can do some of its healing then and during the day I use it alone as a gloss or under a color I am using for the day. The price is definitely reasonable and you can find this in local department stores or pharmacies which will save you the shipping and handling costs. I actually picked some up at .99 on sale and I should have stocked up but I had not tried it at that point -- or I would have stocked up. Great investment for your lips.

Movie Maven says: Agreement all around from this girl - love the smoothness, love the healing properties, love the natural...ness. When I first used this balm, I sensed a flavor in it where I thought there would be none - after a look at the ingredients, I saw that there is spearmint essential oil in it. Now, spearmint is one of those flavors I just can't stand. Like, fire-of-a-thousand-suns style hatred. If someone offers me gum, and it's spearmint, I will refuse (in much the same way I ensure that Coke products are being served as opposed to Pepsi, but that's another story). However: the spearmint flavor is so light and unimposing that even I, the avowed spearmint-hater, like this lip balm. Hooray!

This is a great lip balm, it doesn’t go on heavy or make my lips stiff, and some of them with a lot of wax in them totally make my lips feel like I have rigor mortis... Enough about that! I am using this before applying my lipstick or gloss as well as in the evening before bed. I like the light spearmint scent. I do find that some minty balms can be very drying this is not the case. It’s just light enough to smell upon application then pouf it’s gone for me. I find that when I wake in the morning I can still feel a tiny bit on my lips so it does last throughout the evening.. I will continue to use and really enjoyed all 3 products that I tried from this line... Great stuff that is super affordable in the ever so expensive economy!

This little balm traveled with me to California and Vegas recently and I must say I grew quite fond of it. Being in a plane (especially for long trips) dries out everything on my body from face to eyes to lips - and the balm was always either in my jacket pocket or in the front flap of my pocketbook - always at the ready. It does not feel waxy and give me those white nasty lip thingys that tend to form on my lips if a product has too much wax in it - you know what I mean? The kind you have to sort of wipe off with a kleenex? Well, this product doesn't do that. It just keeps you lips moisturized and smooth. I too have enjoyed all three products received from the Canus line. I love what they stand for and their effectiveness is just great. I am hoping that someone tells me they are expecting a baby so I can order a bunch of stuff from their baby line to give as a gift. I have a feeling it will be exquisite.

I, also, really love my Canus Lip Balm. I agree with everyone on the light wonderful feeling that it gives your lips. Although I disagree with Movie Maven's spearmint hatred (spearmint is my favorite!) I have to say I agree with her opinion of the light wonderfulness of the flavor. This is definitely the lip balm I go for when I need some tender loving care for my pout, sometimes they just hurt and need a little love. I find that this lip balm is just what I want when I feel like I just need to indulge myself. Thats sort of funny isn't it, when the indulgence costs under $3. Simply wonderful!

This tube stays on my desk and is used often. I work at home, so getting up to moisturize my lips after sipping water or another beverage would be a time-waster. Maybe using it so often is the reason my lips have been looking and feeling a lot smoother. Hmm…hadn’t thought of this until just now as I write this.
