Review - Vapour Organic Beauty Siren Lipstick

Siren is a naturally long-wearing, moisturizing lipstick that uses an ingenious blend of safe food grade ingredients. Siren contains NO petroleum-based adhesives. Using a heat and vacuum based non-chemical process, 2 plant oils are combined to produce a glistening moisturizing shine. Siren is the most striking new advance in lipstick formulation. Siren’s palette is a rich sophisticated array of colors flattering to all skin tones. $16

I am beginning to really love Vapour cosmetics! The color I have is Siren Knockout 405 which is a deep Berry color. This product amazes me. It has the color of a lipstick with the consistency of a lip balm. Its very nourishing and moisturizing but at the same time, the color pops. They are organic and designed so you can layer them. To top it off, they have a really nice smell & are super shiny. The $16 price tag is a little steep for the size of product, however it promises staying power & it will deliver. Not sure which color to use? Each color is made to compliment any skin tone.

Movie Maven says: after having used their foundation stick for a while, I am really starting to enjoy Vapour Organic products, so when I got two colors of their Siren Lipstick, I was stoked! I got it in two colors, Tempt and Hint. The first thing I'll mention is that if you're investigating the colors on the website, don't use the little thumbnail pics as your only reference point - the colors are much more accurate if you actually click on the thumbnails and view them larger. When I saw Tempt in the tube, I thought it looked a little on the drab side, but when I put it on, I thought it was the perfect, small bit of mauve that punches up your lips without screaming "I'M WEARING LIPSTICK EVERYONE." This color is fairly neutral - I tend to need cooler undertones, but I can see it working on warmer ones as well. The Hint is also nice; it's a bit pinker than the Tempt, but about the same level of color (which is to say, not much). I think I liked these so much because I'm more of a lip-gloss/balm girl than a lipstick girl, so if you're looking for long-wearing, super-tinted, actual lipstick? This isn't for you. But if lipstick scares you a little bit? Try this one for starters!

Review - Molton Brown Lipsheer in Peach Blossom

An enriching translucent tinted lip balm infused with a rich blend of honey blossom, natural waxes and vitamin E. Super-protection against the ravages of the sun, wind and air conditioning.

So, ladies, I would never spend close to 14 American dollars on a tube of lip tint (the site goes through the UK). I found this little gem at my local T.J. Maxx, and I bet there might be one at your local T.J.X. store too. The price was a much more reasonable $7 for the tube that will probably last me around four months. The feeling of this little tube is wonderful, it glides on so smooth and moisturizes while it makes your lips look full, shiny and healthy. I am really diggin' the color, Peach Blossom is very sheer almost bronzy transluscent glow. It works well over your favorite lip color, or by itself. You can always count on Molton Brown to make a quality product, but now (hopefully for a while) you can find it for a reasonable price.
P.S. I love T.J.X.

Review Lip Ink Shine

Shine Vial Lip Gloss.25 fl.oz.- Acts a base conditioner when applied under Lip-Ink Lip Color. A light layer of Shine on top creates a moist silky feeling. A more generous application transforms matte $18.95

I am amazed with this product. It goes on feeling light and moisturizing but delivers a tremendous amount of shine. I use this alone on my lips or with just liner. My lips remain shiny for a couple of hours then I just reapply. There is no tackiness or stickiness what so ever, just smooth shiny lips with no drying. I swear that I love gloss but I have to load up on balm at night to be able to pull it off daily, with this shine I take it off at night and can go to be with nothing on my lips. This is a great product! You can’t believe it till you try it, it’s that good... Glossiness without any ramifications on the lippies... WOW

Deedlejuse Says:

I totally agree with Cityslicker on this lip gloss. The search for a really long lasting, but not sticky lip gloss is finally over! The Lip Ink Shine is so light, and really moisturizing. I usually apply mine over the first step Lip Ink but I have used it solo on more than one occasion, when I really just needed some moisture. My favorite part is that it doesn't taste good, I find that tasty lip glosses last all of two seconds and just chap my lips more. This is a really amazing product, I definitely recommend it.

Sheba says: You cannot go wrong with this product line. Their 'Shine' is simply one of the best glosses I have used and I have used MANY. It shines for a much longer period than I have run into with other products. It is a real shine - it makes a big difference. You can use it alone or with the other Lip Ink products or even with another line of lip product. It will do the job -- the name says it all -- this 'shines' above others that claim to do that!!
