Promise me is a Floriental Eau De Perfume, I love the cause, I love the scent: a light floral oriental with some pretty white musks and an ambery finish. I found this fragrance online discounted everywhere. in my opinion I would rather pay the full price and make sure that the donation to cancer research is there. Give it as a gift or wear it yourself, but lets get it people! I will tell you all that I am actually a registered fragrance sales specialist with the Fragrance Foundation of America (I've got a pin!) so I know A LOT about fragrance. This EDP is surprisingly light, and the staying power is not really there, I would give it an hour or two before it's quite difficult to tell you are wearing it. I do love the scent as you put it on, so clean yet ambery and very bright, but I love the cause more. Here is a little more info on Susan G. Koman for the cure.
While the staying power of the fragrance is a little iffy the good you will be doing is definitely there. I have quite a few perfume bottles, but this one I will definitely keep on display!

Review- Jo Malone Limited Edition Tea Cologne Collection- Sweet Lemon & Earl Grey & Cucumber

Jo Malone is a young company, only having been around since the mid 1990's but it has definitely distinguished itself as the quintessential British luxury line. Their theory is that you are able to create your own bespoke fragrance by combining their colognes into something which is uniquely yours. Their fragrances are all ethereal and breezy enough to be wonderful by themselves but also fantastic together.
In light of the pending British nuptials the company has dedicated their windows to the affair for the next week, with lovely images of their newest creation Sakura Cherry Blossom and the names of the lucky couple. Just to remind us that they are really, really British they have also decided to come out with a Limited Edition Tea Cologne Collection. The fragrances are all reminiscent of the countries favorite past time: tea. I love it! how playful and fun....
The colognes that I got to review are Sweet Lemon a beautiful sugary blend of lemon, bergatmot and apple on top a heart of Pineapple and freesia and a beautiful base of cypress and white musk. This is by far my favorite, being sweet light clean and fresh. If you have ever loved (like me) fragrances heavy on the pineapple please try to find this fragrance somewhere! The next is an interesting combination of Earl Grey and Cucumber. Personally I might never, ever put a piece of cucumber in my tea, but you know I'm just not that adventurous! The fragrance, though, is very nice not personally my first pick as I prefer something either spicier or sweeter ( I LOVE their Pomegranate Noir and Nectarine Blossom and Honey.) It is a pungent blend of Bergamot and Water jasmine a heart of cucumber and a base of sweet beeswax and Vanilla. Next time you are in a hugely over-priced tea shop smell their most expensive Earl Grey and there is this fragrance, maybe up the floral quotient a smidge, but there it is! Actually I think that they might have a problem with the fact that these fragrances are so limited..... And can I say that I love the fact that I am able to put some lemon on my tea!
The biggest complaint that I had was that the fragrances tend to go away pretty quickly but when I added my body cream (Nectarine Blossom and Honey of course) they really lasted much longer.
I will say that I absolutely love this company and all of their fragrances, and I love how interactive and fun they try to be with the world of perfume. Definitely worth checking it out!

Review - Lancome Magnifique Perfume

Audacious. Passionate. Utterly Magnifique.

The fragrance that celebrates her vibrant femininity, her joie de vivre. Infused with the spicy impertinence of saffron, the warmth of roses and the smoky embrace of exotic nagarmotâ wood.

So perfume is my thing. I love it, and I work at an oil perfume bar so I definitely get to smell a lot of it. I went to the Lancome counter today to pick up some moisturizer, and was given a sample of Magnifique. It is definitely a more mature fruity oriental fragrance. It is very nice, but I feel like it has been done before. It It smells a lot like a Givenchy, or older Lancomes. Definitely a nice fall fragrance, but it isn't one that knocks my socks off. The staying power is really good though, at least 6 hours of subtle fragrance.

Above is actually a review I did, about a year ago (my goodness I've been doing this a while!) and I wanted to specify the difference between the Eau de Toilette I tried last year, and the Eau de Parfum I received a few days ago. While I vividly remember this fragrance being rather like most others in department stores in the fall, a little more mature, perhaps, but really quite familiar. When you go for the Eau de Parfum the fragrance, while similar is stunnigly bold and vibrant. The woodieness of this woody oriental explode on your skin, and the berries are so much more powerful! It stays where it is, but closer, so the smell is quiet, but quietly there. I have never tried an Eau de Parfum before, though goodness knows I've tried my share of perfumes, but I have to say it is like SOOOOO worth the extra bucks. The Eau de Parfume is heavy cream, so luxurious and decadent, while the Eau de Toilette is the skim milk, its good but there's gotta be something better. And Magnifique really is when you tone down the alcohol content, I'm impressed!

Review - Strange Invisible Perfume

Perfume is a thing I associate with sexy, mildly trashy elegance, like Maggie the Cat dabbing a bit of perfume on her wrist before Brick comes home, in one last desperate attempt to get him to love her the way she needs to be loved. Wearing perfume makes me feel particularly fancy, and I'm not the kind of girl with a "signature scent," which means I get to mix it up a lot. This Strange Invisible Perfume in Aquarian Roses is just the kind of thing I would wear if I were a past-her-prime, yet still totally sexy, Southern belle, trapped in a loveless marriage with a super-hot drunk. It's old-fashioned, but playful. It's warm, but not overbearing. It's feminine, but not sweet. And the fact that Strange Invisible (weirdest name for a perfume company ever?) touts it as a unisex fragrance should give you some idea about the scent - not quite a man's, not quite a woman's, but able to magnify the femininity or masculinity of the wearer. I quite like it, actually. And I think Liz Taylor would approve.

Perfume is kind of my life. My job is to create all natural perfumes for people and to help them find a fragrance that fits their personality. So, as you can imagine I am super head-strong and opinionated about scents, so take my review with a grain of salt!
This company's motivation and "green mission" is quite commendable, and interesting. It seems as though the perfumer Alexandra Balahoutis knows quite a lot about scents and will create you a custom perfume after you sip floral infused waters to see which flowers resonate most strongly with you. Interesting. My biggest problem with Aquarian Roses is that I don't like the way it smells, I can't imagine recommending it to a man, and after wearing it myself I really couldn't pick it up after about a half hour. It smells basically like Moroccan Rose Oil, a very sour bitter smell with some sandalwood. I am a true admirer of Rose fragrances, but I just don't think it is worth $210 for 1/4 Oz. of parfume and $175 for 1.7 Oz. of eau de parfume. If you are interested in this fragrance I strongly recommend trying the $5 sample before jumping in with both feet, unless you can gamble with that amount of dough! Some of their other fragrances sound scrumptious though, maybe trying a few samples to find your perfect fragrance is wise. Of course if you are in the area and can just go in and play that would be the best option.....

Sheba says this Strange Invisible Perfume in Aquarian Roses is definitly different from the fragrances I am usually drawn to. After Movie Maven's review -- I can see it with Maggie (Liz Taylor) in 'Cat on a Hot Tin Roof'. I think it would fit her personality. I found that it did stay with me for a while which did NOT happen with Deedlejuse. It is so difficult to describe a fragrance -- especially one that you are not really used to. I will say that it was not overpowering. However, I have to be honest and this is a very nice fragrance but it is just not for me. I bet it would be just the scent a lot of people are looking for. So try the $5 sample as Deedlejuse suggests before investing the total price. Just be sure before you dig down deep. I think most of use do that anyway -- you really have to try a scent before plunking down your hard earned $.

Recently I have been using the Strange Invisible Perfume in Epic Gardenia and usually I am not a Gardenia fan. However, I want to mention that I have received many complements on this fragrance. I was afraid I might have put too much on to cause as many complements but friends I trust said NO -- it is just lovely. Sometimes I think Gardenia is too strong on its own and that is partly why I am not a big fan. I did not think this was as overpowering as many other Gardenia fragrances that I have used but was nervous at first due to the many complements. Now, I know it is the scent and not the strength. I am not in the perfume business so it is just about impossible for me to describe the various undertones, etc. I just know this is a very nice Gardenia that stayed with me but was not too strong. Once again, I would suggest that you try the sample before plunking down the full price. Make sure it is for you -- believe me, this is for many of us!!

CitySlicker Says: If you have any experience with Gardenia then you know it's not a subtle flower. it's full of life and lots of fragrance. This scent rich and has a lot of aroma on my skin. It's thick when I first apply but totally lasts throughout the day and is still going strong by the evening. If you like Gardenia you will love this and if you don't then it's not for you.. Epic Gardenia is a lovely feminine floral that stands up to it's name

Maria says: I too received a sample of Epic Gardenia and to be 100% honest, I had decided even before trying that I would not love it. I am no fan of anything floral. Ever. However...this little bottle kind of sets a different bar for the very unique notes of Gardenia. The drydown for me was much better than the first few minutes of application where I thought "uh oh, this is not for me". The drydown gives a subtle floral that is not overpowering or overwhelming. If you are a fan of Gardenia, then this will surely be a great addition to your perfume collection - It is unique and lovely and perfect for this time of year.

Amanda S. Says: Well well well, look how much everyone likes this stuff, huh? It certainly is a unique name, that's for sure. When I first saw it I thought, is this a typo??? But alas, it's as unique as the scent. As far as I know, you can't actually extract scent from the real lily of the valley flower, so I am guessing this is a very good interpretation of the actual scent. I hadn't imagined that if captured, it would be something I'd be drawn to, considering that most of my scents are dark and more heavy than lily. But having been handed this, and feeling obligated to give it a try, I find it's in my top three favorites for this summer! I'm told on me, it doesn't smell very lily-ish at all, but it does have a nice green scent. I have read in a few spots that people couldn't notice a dry down difference, but the scent adjusted to me very differently than to a friend I dabbed it on. Both times, very interesting. I highly recommend this scent as a gift for someone because I haven't found anyone it doesn't meld well with.

Reiew - Christine Aguilera Inspire Perfume

This perfume really did surprise me. I wasn't really sure what to expect from Christine Aguilera -- she has many faces as an entertainer. Actually this Christine Aguilera Inspire Perfume is a very nice fragrance. I had a whiff of it when going through a cosmetic section of a store and liked it but that was not enough to really make a judgement so I did get a bottle. I am glad that I did: this is a wonderful blend of scents that come together beautifully. It is recommended for romantic wear as mentioned above and that is appropriate, however, I have used it during the day and it was not too much. I catch the citrus in it and I am a citrus person. That is not to say that I didn't like the rest of the combination. I think the combination is 'inspired' and maybe that is how the name came about. Inspire can be interpreted as a romantic blend for sure but I found that it could also be just a very casual scent if used lightly. I think it has an air of sophistication to it. It is definitely a nice addition to my perfumes and gives me another option when I am selecting one for the day or evening. The cost seems to be right where most perfumes fall. However, check out Amazon.com and EBay for some pretty good discount prices. I also think that this perfume would make an excellent present. . . especially for Christine's fans. I would not limit it to just her fans as it is a delightful fragrance is sure to be appreciated by the general public. Her designers came up with a real jewel in Inspire.

I enjoy trying new scents and Flourish is very different from my usual picks. I usually go for the clean and fresh fragrances. This is a very soft and almost musky scent. I do get the earthy and floral that they mention. However, I just know I like it and since I am not an expert I thought I would include the ingredients so that you can see they are all natural, pure, and they combine to make a very lovely scent. You'll notice that it contains 100% essential oils and from my experience the oils tend to last longer than perfumes with alcohol in many instances. This goes on lightly and stays light. If you want a slightly heavier scent -- just put a second dab on and you can achieve that effect. It does last -- I found that I really did not have to refresh it that often at all. I think the cost is about the average for a very good perfume that is 100% essential oils.

Review - Sycamore Boutique 1899 Soap Company Products

I got a cute little bundle of products from Sycamore Boutique, and actually at this moment I am burning the delicious spring lilac soy candle and it's so cute and teeny but spreads a wonderful scent throughout our apartment (which isn't easy because it's a long long hallway with many rooms!). The candles are slow burning and all natural, so you don't have to worry about lead in the wicks and other gross things creeping into your lovely scents.
I also received an unscented shea butter lotion that is very natural smelling and not thick and difficult to absorb into your hands like some shea butter products. It cures dry spots like elbows and knees really great also.
My two REALLY favorite items I got though are the rose petals perfume oil and the cherries & chocolate car/closet/drawer freshener. The freshener is an adorable heart shape (and I love anything star or heart shaped) with a really pretty soft penetrating scent. I'm currently using it in our self-built closet in the bedroom and it's making a huge difference removing the musty weird smell that has sort of creeped into there from who knows where. The perfume oil is soooooo sooooo beautiful. It's not overpowering but has a strong enough smell to last all day (even through a strenuous gym workout, I could still smell it), and it comes in a cute little glass rollerball applicator bottle that is easy to keep in a purse/make up bag. It completely lacks any chemical, artificial or weird smell to it, it's just straight rose scent with no weird by products to muck it up.
What a great series of products with an impressive dedication to natural products.

Spring Tulip Candle – I burned this in the office and it carried throughout the area. It is a bright spring bouquet that is very pretty and enveloped all that came through. I then brought this tiny dream home to fill my living area with a fresh bunch of floral sunshine. This candle is small but throws a scent into the air even before lighting it. I really liked my scent!
Cotton Shea Butter Cream – This is a perfect scent for anyone who doesn’t really like scents; it’s light and smells clean. I used this after showering. It absorbs really quickly and left my skin feeling soft and supple. The moisture lasts throughout the day to.
Jessica McClintock Perfume Oil – This is a powdery musky scent that also has floral notes. I apply in the morning and found that it faded throughout the day, by the end of the day I could no longer smell anything at all. It’s a very pretty feminine scent.
Car Freshener in Juniper – This little freshener is very cute and in the shape of a vw beetle. It’s got a true juniper scent that really smells fresh. I put this in my car and have smelled the scent all week, it’s not overpowering in a perfumey way, and it’s like having a juniper bush in the back seat. The scent is beginning to fade but it’s still there and I am sure will be for some time.

I got the perfume oil in Downy scent (yes the fabric softener) and it smells just like the real thing (one of my favorite scents in the world). I've been let down by fragrance oils before, I found the scent just wasn't strong enough, but that can't be said for this oil. I could still smell it hours after putting it on.
I also got she butter lotion in Downy scent. It smells wonderful! I love the fact that it moisturizes but it sinks in completely. If you wear layers of fragrance (body wash, lotion and perfume) the scent lingers much longer.
I don't recommend the Woodland Violet scent of candle because although it smells divine in the tin, once lit I could only smell it by holding it up near my face. From the looks of the other reviews, this is only the case with the scent I got.
The car freshener I chose is Violet as well and it smells divine. It is even strong enough to smell over my husband's smoking and is shaped appropriately enough as a car.Sycamore boutique has hundreds of scents to choose from and their prices are out of this world.

Maria says: Well, I burned my entire tin of the lovely Orange-Vanilla scent. Yum. Such a great smell. I will say that I could smell it much better in the bathroom - which is very small. When I moved it to my bedroom, I couldn't really smell it anymore unless I was very close to it (like you Hillary). When I opened up the rest of my little package from this great company, my daughter immediately took off with the star-shaped room freshener (in Downy) smells JUST like it - she hung it from her ceiling fan in her bedroom and when the fan is oscilating it smells just like fresh laundry in there - I got the perfume oil and body lotion in Blue Musk and it has to be one of the cleanest, softest, scents I've ever had the pleasure of wearing - it's so pretty and it's not like when you smell it you can say "oh this smells like ________" (insert perfume company name here) because it is unique. I wish the scent lingered a little longer on me. But that tends to be a problem with me - scents tend to fade quickly - who knows...maybe it's my skin's absorption properties! I can imagine that I'd have a field day with the amount of products to choose from. This is just an all around GREAT company.

This is a relatively difficult review for me to write. My job is for a company that is quite similar to this boutique, but their products are much cheaper. Unfortunately, my soy candle went the way Maria and Hillary's did. I got Lemon Verbena and I loved the size of the candle tin, and the scent before it was lit, but I couldn't smell it at all after it was burning. I let it burn a long, long time before I decided to just give up and snuff it. The car freshener I got in a scent called Mediterranean Fig; I wasn’t the biggest fan of this fig smell. I actually used it in the car, which was a bad decision. It got so strong the first day (probably because it was really hot) that it was difficult to breathe, and by the second had faded to nothing. My recommendation on the air freshener is: by in bulk to save on shipping, pick a smell you know you'll love, and please use them when the temperature outside is less than 90*. The lotion was nice, and of course it is cool that you can have it scented with your perfume. I got Angel Food, it was a very strong version of the desert. I really did like the smell I just found it strong. The perfume oil was Sandy Beach, it was a very accurate smell beachy flowers and maybe cucumber to make it sort of fresh. Not overly coconut, which is nice. Again, the oil, like the lotion is very strong. I think that they are both stronger than alcohol based perfume, which is quite unusual for oil. Overall I kind of think purchasing blind is risky, maybe have them send you samples of the smells first? I don't know I guess even if you hate it you have only wasted $7 for the perfume oil!
P.S. I just realized that I was also scent a glycerin soap which is useful when one is having a hot flash. I very much like the smell of the rose geranium, and the soap suds well and lasts a while. Unfortunately, I'm 24 so I cant report back on the hot flash thing......

I can see why Deedlejuse had difficulty reviewing these items as she is associated with another line. However, these are in a completely different category completely. Nantucket Naturals is top of the line while Sycamore Boutique is a much lower priced alternative. Actually I probably should not say alternative - but addition. I would not leave Nantucket Naturals for just about anything however, I would definitely add Sycamore Boutique. I selected the Orange-Clove Candle and it is pure Heaven. I love it. . . and I did have it throughout our home but I put it out pretty fast as I do not want to use it up before I can replace it with maybe 10 more. It is addictive. That combination is one of the most pleasant ones that I have ever been surrounded by and they do an excellent job of capturing it. Then I chose the Cotton Blossom Perfume Oil which is one of my favorite scents. It is very clean without blanketing you in a Tide or detergent aroma. It is very refreshing and I enjoyed it. It is strong without being too strong. You might think if it is strong it will last all day. However, it fades as the day goes on but that is not a problem if you carry the little bottle with you. I often have to refresh my fragrances and am used to doing that. I decided on the Lemon Verbena Shea Butter Lotion and that was another good decision. Being a 'citrus nut' I love the fragrance -- it is very captivating. I feel that the lotion is absorbed into the skin very nicely and definitely moisturizes you and I love it on elbows and those other very dry area. The scent is not overpowering and needs a bit of refreshing once in a while but once again I wash my hands so often (due to my dog) that I always have lotion handy so I can freshen up frequently. My pick of the Fresh Linen Scented Ornament could not have been more on target. I love to keep something like a scented candle or sachet in the linen closet. This leaves such a pleasant and clean aroma in there that I love it when it I open the door and get this fresh scent instead of that stale scent you can get from a linen closet. I definitely have to stock up on some of these. . . they are wonderful. All in all I would say Sycamore Boutique is a winner with very affordable products that actually work as intended.

Review: Blue Musk was the scent for my soy candle; shea butter lotion; scented ornament that could be a car, bathroom, or lingerie freshener; and the perfume oil. I love musk, and this one is particularly yummy. I had on the perfume oil and a guy caught a whiff of it (no, not a total stranger) and began nibbling on my neck. A woman caught the scent and went crazy over it (without nibbling, of course). This scent is both sensuous and innocent. Very, very nice.

Review - Marc Jacobs Violet Eau De Toilette Spray

Marc Jacobs Violet Perfume by Marc Jacobs, It has top notes of sparkling bergamot and peony; a heart of delicate violet, orchid, orris and creamy cashmere accord, and its drydown is of cedarwood, vanilla, musk and gingerbread.

This fragrance is very interesting. It doesn't smell like anything I have ever smelled before, even though all of the parts of it are familiar. I find the combination to be so warming and endearing, it is definitely a feel good perfume. It is interesting and alluring. Violet is a throw-back to my grandmother's house, so for me it is one fragrance that I dearly love. This fragrance makes me want to wear it, all the time. Well maybe just in the wintertime, but definitely a lot in the winter! I don't think that it is a particularly spicy fragrance, more of a warm one to me, but it would be spicy for light floral wearers. The fragrance lasts for a good long time, but just delicately, not over the top strong.

When it comes to perfume I have smelled many. I am a perfumer, sort of, at least I work at a perfume bar and I create fragrances for people every day. So, not that my opinion matters any more or any less than the next person, but I have without a doubt smelled a lot more fragrances than the normal Joe off the street. This perfume is one of my all time favorites. I decided to include what the notes are so that people can see sort of what it might smell like, but words cannot really grasp this beautiful, delectable fragrance. It is an ambery, rich and woodier version of Thierry Mugler's very famous Angel perfume, you have smelled it even if you don't know it. It is the "star" bottle.
Prada tones down the chocolate, I think a really good choice, and tones up the citrus. This isn't a citrusy fragrance, however, it is more woody. It is sultry and sophisticated and when I want to feel sexy and decadent it is always the one I gravitate towards.... and the best part is it is Prada (that we can actually afford!!) it is only about $70 for 1.7oz, and the fragrance lasts wonderfully and delicately for hours and hours! Please at least go to Sephora and spray it on yourself. You will not be sorry!

Review - Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume

This fragrance is a stunning oriental fragrance that truly brings one back to a walk through life. Chanel Coco Mademoiselle perfume is a more sophisticated version of the original Chanel Coco and includes notes of rose, jasmine, orange, bergamot, and vanilla.

I wanted to give a shout out to one of the most fantastic perfumes I have ever owned or worn. As a kid, my grandmother used to wear the classic Chanel No. 5 perfume, and I used to think to myself that when I got older I'd be tall and glamorous and totally fashionably chic like her and I'd wear that perfume. (I however, am not as tall as her... she was almost 6 feet tall, I am sadly barely 5'4").

When Mademoiselle came out, I thought, here's my chance to wear something similar that's meant for a girl my age, and asked for it for christmas as an homage to my dearly departed grandmother. Luckily, I actually got it and... I have faithfully been wearing it at least 3-4 times per week without fail, and everyone that knows anything compliments me on how beautiful it is. It's sophisticated without feeling too granny, and subtle and sweet. It may be a bit pricey but the smaller bottles last forever, and a little goes a long way. I'd highly recommend this as a gift for a hard to buy for friend or relative, they won't be disappointed.

Review - Victoria's Secret Sexy Little Things

A fragrance so sexy, the box whistles when you open it. Tempt and tease with this fruity-floral blend of apple, exotic jasmine and sensual cashmere woods. Domestic.

Ok, people might notice that I am changing my original post. This perfume is seriously a chameleon, I love it. When I first applied I really, really didn't like the smell. Like I wanted it off me, and even though I tried it numerous times I repeatedly washed it off because I didn't want to smell like dirty fruit water.
Today I left the house before I could actually wash it off, and I forgot that I had it on. I applied it at 12 pm, it is now 10pm and I can still smell it in a delicate, but definitely there sort of way. Although it is still not my favorite scent I have ever worn, I like it much more than initially. It is soapy and fresh, still rather fruity but musky in a much more sexy than that initial over the top smell. Give this fragrance a chance, even if you hate it out of the bottle, because it will definitely surprise you.

This unique créme de parfum is alcohol free and comes in many delightful scents. They come packaged in little jars encased in wood which fit the jar perfectly. The top of the jar is black and indicates your selected No. It is an adorable presentation -- it looks like a little nut holding your scent. I have both No. 8 and No. 9 and I am sure I will be purchasing more of these little treasures. The frangrance is accurately described yet it is hard to describe the softness to the scents. They are not overpowering and they do last and last. Another bonus to these little creams is that they actually do moisturize ever so slightly. Many other scented cream products can be a bit drying. I was taken to one of these Perfumeries (in Newburyport, MA) where I was determined to duplicate a fragrance I fell in love with in the Bahamas. I met Deedlejuse, the first fragrance expert I have encountered. She mixed oils for me to try and as we talked she mixed other combinations that I mentioned liking. Before I knew it she had conjured up some of the most beautiful aromas I have ever inhaled. I do not pretend to know what majical oils or percentages of each she used but I now had a difficult choice. She had made up 3 completely different scents and I had to select one. Also, when you make one up (or let the person with the knowledge and background assist you in mixing one up) you get to name it. Your own Personal Perfume. I felt a little like Estee Lauder, Jr. -- naming my own scent. Well, mine has a strong Mandarin scent to it and I have received complements galore on it. I think I owe a lot of those complements to her for combining the perfect ingredients for me. There is no doubt in my mind that I will be a return customer. Once you have visited one of their locations and had some expert assistance in developing your own scent -- or buying a designer resemblance you will agree that the cost is more than reasonable. You can go to any Department store and buy a Designer scent which will have the alcohol in it for about the same price or more. It will fade a lot sooner than this will. Try this -- you may be very pleasantly surprised.

Sheba says: I guess I just can't say enough -- I have been using another of their perfume oils. I am addicted to 'Clean' perfume and all of the similar ones. Well, I got my hands on the oil that resembles 'Fresh Laundry'. If you can tell the difference between this oil and the original perfume you must have a perfumer's nose. The one difference I found is that this oil lasts a bit longer and does not have to be refreshed as often. You definitely get your money's worth with these oils. These make an excellent gift -- I know -- I got one as a present! That was my first step into the addiction I have now have for them. This is a good addiction!!!

I am all over the map when it comes to fragrances. Seriously, I love so many but then there are also quite a few that do not agree with me. This is one that I enjoy. If I want a bit of a fragrance but don't want a perfumey aroma about me -- this is one of my choices. I do not like the strong scent of soap and this does have a tinge of soap to it. That is it -- just a tinge. It describes itself as "almost like a memory of the soap" rather than the soap. I guess that will give you a pretty good idea of what it is like. After you have showered or bathed you have a lingering light scent of the cleanser you used. This is very much on that idea. It is not overpowering. This is terrible to admit but sometimes when my dog smells like the 'wet dog' he is after rain. . . yes, I do spray my hands and work it into his fur. It lasts long enough -- until the fur and skin dry and he smells like himself. . . not that his usual smell could not use some help! I don't waste a lot on him (and truth be known - it is not for him -- it is for me to be able to mask the little stinker)! This particular brand, Demeter, is known for their many unusual scents. Some I cannot imagine anyone buying such as "Dirt" and "Rubber" to name a few, but to each his/her own. I have invested in quite a few and I am definitely a fan of the different scents. The price is pretty reasonable for a fun fragrance.

This is one of my favorite Scents. It has the madarin and vanilla that I usually end up picking without even realizing it. Surprisingly this is considered to be a flowery fragrance and I usually shy away from them. Perhaps that is because I do not find it to be flowery. I guess I am smelling my favorite notes from it and I enjoy this scent totally. I do wear Poison also and have gotten to like it as well as the Tendre Poison. I find that it does last for quite a while. If I spray it on in the morning, it will make through most of the day. I enjoy being surrounded by the scents of the madarin and vanilla along with all the other wonderful scents in this Tendre Poison. I look around before buying this as it can be bought in a local department store and usually at a lower price than shown at this website. It is worth the investment in time to check around as you will find this fragrance at a reasonable cost. *Actually I just checked Ebay and there it is for $10 and up. What a price variance!!

Tender poison is a very heavy oriental fragrance , that I love for night time. I think that it is a little but too musky and strong for everyday use, although I am a really light scent person. Sheba is so right when she says it lasts. This one will stay with out through thick and thin! It is a really pretty fragrance though, very sexy.

I received this gift set and I am positively delighted with it. They are fun scents and I happen to love both. I had just spent quite a bit on a Carmel based perfume from the islands and actually now I am disappointed in it. This much less expensive Carmel fragrance is delicious. It is so sweet and smooth without being sickeningly sweet. Some of the Sugar and sweet scents can just be too overbearing with the sweetness -- I almost get a cavity smelling them. This is a refreshing Carmel while the Angel Food is also delectable. Again, it is a very light sweet scent which I enjoy. I have received many complements on what I am wearing whenever I have either of these on. I found the gift set at this web site and was pretty surprised at the very reasonable cost and to top it off -- Free Shipping. You can find the Demeter Fragrances many places but it is unlikely that you will also get the free shipping with a small order such as this. This is a light scent that has had many people ask me what I was wearing. Thank goodness they said they liked it. It would have been embarassing if someone said -- thanks, I know not to ever get that scent!! Happily it has been positive feedback. I am a person who just likes a light scent - I actually feel uncomfortable when I have tested a scent and it was strong. I usually will have to get myself to soap and water fast to take it off. Nina Ricci has many other products and scents and any I have tried have been excellent. However, this is my personal favorite. I use it for day or evening. My preference is for the Eau de Toilette and the cost at this site is not too bad. You can usually find this at a discounted price. I don't think I have ever paid the full retail price -- so it does pay to shop around.

A friend of mine had a few itty-bitty sample bottles of the DKNY scent Be Delicious that she didn't want, so she sent them my way for a try. As you might remember, I'm not much of a perfume connoisseur, so anytime I find one I like, I get pretty excited. The fruity aspect of the scent is very prominent; you really get the apple and the rose, but not in an old-ladyish way. It's also a very springy scent, the kind that makes you want to go on a picnic! If you're looking for something new, but not too crazy, I'd give this a try. The other interesting thing about this perfume is the design: the bottle the scent normally comes in looks like some sort of space-age apple; I sort of wish I had that one. The little sample bottles are great, though, with a little roller-ball applicator so you don't have to use the scent once and toss it - well done, DKNY. This scent is truly intoxicating. . . it envelops you in its magic. Guerlain has developed many gorgeous fragrances and this is but one of them. I am a devoted fan of this and Shalimar. Perhaps it would be more accurate to say I am addicted to them. L'Heure Bleue is a fascinating combination of all the notes they mention. I do not care how they came up with this combination -- as long as they did. It is not a very light fragrance -- yet, at the same time, it is not overbearing. I prefer to use it lightly for a subtle effect. This gives off a sensual aroma which is absolutely perfect for evening wear. However, I will use it during the day with a very light spray. Others might prefer a heavier application as not everyone is happy with the lighter side of perfumes. I say heavier - but do not mean HEAVIER. I simply mean that many people do not like their scent as light as I do. This, as well as most scents, can be used lightly or with a more intense spray depending on your mood at the time -- or the mood you are attempting to set. This is a gorgeous French scent which can definitely set a romantic mood.
