Yeah! Simple... Sometimes all a gal wants is a straightforward and clean facial wipe or cleanser, and this gentle Exfoliating Facial Wipe really is effective. As noted before, my skin breaks out way too easily from certain products and when I'm in the midst of a breakout (like now!!), all I can actually handle is something uncomplicated and pure feeling. Simple's basic goodness delivers on its promises and I am able to use this exfoliating facial wipe without irritating my skin, yet cleansing it thoroughly in the process. The facial wipes are noticeably thick with gentle exfoliating ridges to really clear deeply and the formula does feel clean and nurturing against the skin. I don't know if I notice much of an exfoliating glow after using the wipes, but my skin is much clearer and softer as a result and when you're breaking out and can't use much on the skin, these wipes have become much of a skin-saver for me. And I am thankful that with sensitive skin, I can use something so highly effective without adding any more irritants to the skin. For those of us who have sensitive skin, the Simple line may just be the right solution! Definitely worth a try!

Review- Caress Evenly Gorgeous Exfoliating Body Wash

Ready to reveal your daring side tonight? Flaunt your gorgeous even skin tone with confidence. Caress Evenly Gorgeous with Burnt Brown Sugar and Karite Butter gently exfoliates and lusciously moisturizes to reveal beautifully, even-toned skin. $4.79 for 12 oz.
Caress Evenly Gorgeous Body Wash is a divine smelling, super moisturizing body wash that will leave your skin feeling like silk. The deep, musky fragrance leaves just a hint on your skin, and reminds me of a hot August night. It really didn't do much in terms of exfoliating, since I could barely feel the beads and didn't notice much of a difference in my skin afterward, but the moisturizing quality and smell were still amazing. If you want the feeling of a steamy summer evening during the end of December, you'll definitely love this product. However if you need a more serious scrub for dry, flaky, skin you might be disappointed.
Josephine says: Malikah nailed something about this shower gel that I haven't been able to do yet. It does somehow encapsulate summertime in like, Cuba. The smell is awesome yet subtle and it cleans and softens wonderfully. I did think the exfoliating was meaningful, though. The winter is so harsh on my skin and it's dry on such a deep level that it doesn't even look flaky or scaly to the naked eye but I itch as if I have poison ivy. Basically I am trying to say that I need exfoliating/moisturizer like I need air. I will most definitely (and joyfully!) finish the bottle and seek Caress out again, especially when I am on a budget because that quality to this product is not to be overlooked either.
Trish says: I agree with both reviews above! The scent is absolutely decadent, reminding me of a rich caramel flan that adds that beautiful touch of warmth in the middle of one the coldest winters in NY (from what I can remember). There is some exfoliating here - even if ever so modest- it's not a full scrub, but my skin still felt soft and nourished after using it. I love how the Caress body wash suds up so beautifully and washes off just as easily. Your skin truly feels much softer and smoother and clean afterwards, leaving a gorgeous and sweet scent to remember. I'd definitely purchase the body wash for the silkiness factor and the enjoyable fragrance together!

Review- Embryolisse Exfoliating Cream

Crème De Soin Exfoliante (Exfoliating Cream) is designed to delicately exfoliate the surface of the skin, respecting its natural balance. A luxurious cream with exfoliating micro-beads that gently resurfaces, soothes and nourishes the skin with vitamins E and F.
When I first tried this exfoliating cream, I barely noticed all the tiny grains. The rich cream is soooo gentle and hydrating its perfect for keeping skin smooth, but not dry, in harsh winter weather. It doesn't even feel like a scrub, more like a slightly grainy moisturizer and when you rinse it off, your skin is left super silky and baby smooth. I totally adore this product, and think it would work as great on sensitive or dry skin as it did on my combination oily.

Review- Noah's Naturals Brazilian Body Polish
Age defying Brazilian Body Polish with acai berry. A 5.5 oz bottle is $12.99.I was so excited to use this body polish because I was in need of some serious exfoliating. The line prides itself on using high quality ingredients and having no parabens, sulfates and not being tested on animals. The smell is great…think someplace warm in the tropics. The kernels are really small so when it mixes with water, it gets tough to exfoliate. If skin isn’t fully wet, then you can get a good amount on and really slough away. I did use the polish a few times a week for about two weeks and I did notice a difference and it did make my skin softer. This product is a keeper!

Review- Reversital 3-in-1 Microderma Stick Body, Elbows, Feet

Cleanse, resurface, moisturize. A revolutionary patented formulation stimulates collagen production, combines a cream, a brush and after-care product in one amazing dial-up applicator. An affordable alternative to expensive chemical and laser peels. A concentrated repair system providing uniform surface tension for safe and more effective results. An immediate reduction of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, age spots and damage from UVA/UVB rays, skin discoloration and dry skin will be observed after only one treatment. $80 for 3 oz.
Reversital has definitely made the task of microdermabrasion at home an easy no-excuse-for-flaky-skin process. The entire experience can be held in your hand in this substantial stick capable of erasing dry skin like the opposite end of a pencil. The first time I used this it was in the bathtub. My 2 year-old was in there with me and within a few minutes, it felt like we were sitting in a sandbox because this stick's exfoliating capabilities are so hardcore! There was a huge difference in the feel of my skin immediately and I was not only freshly scrubbed but also wonderfully silky. You see, that's because this product delivers a moisturizer activated by water so powerful that you can skip yours. Being completely blown away by the very tangible effects, I have been using the stick every few days on my heels and elbows as well as light application all over. My skin, which tends to dry out in the winter pretty fiercely, has been a joy to be in and here we are in late November. Bring on the dark depths of winter, I say, I am armed with a wickedly great product!

Review - Arbonne Intelligence Exfoliating Masque with Thermal Fusion
Uniquely formulated with Thermal Fusion technology to increase exfoliation of the skin's surface. This dynamic product combines the benefits of a scrub and a masque, for deep cleaning results. 4.6oz Product number 485 $32This is the second step in the Arbonne Intelligence 5 Step system, like I said before this product is not on the website, so you will need to use the product number above. I will say again that I think these products work best together and they are offered plus an extra bonus Skin Conditioning Oil for $143.50, use product number 725, so worth it!
This Exfoliating masque does not specify whether they think you should use it every day on the sample I received, but I know my skin so I used it once a week, and it worked like a charm. I will say there is an interesting warming sensation, that paired with the exfoliating beads really left my face feeling squeaky clean. It would have been too abrasive for me if it wasn't paired with the next steps in the line. I have sensitive skin so I think almost any exfoliating masque I have used creates the same sensation. The eye and face creams gave me back the "moisture barrier" I think is the term they used, and I totally agree with it! I would say this was my least favorite part of the 5 step process, but most anything "exfoliating" is for me. All in all it left my skin without the dryness and flakes that it was left with in patches from the winter, and really made me glow. Well ok, at first I just got really red, but after that fades you really glow! Just make sure you immediately use your Daily Moisturizing Cream!
Amanda S. Says: What's my real problem with this product? Well, I only have one. And that problem is: I don't have enough of it. Sadly, poor poor Amanda only has about 8 applications of the product and desires, truly, about 1,000,000 more. What's a girl to do? I got a little freaked out when I felt this product heating up, but it works so well and feels so cool and different than other masques that I got over it quickly to realize the benefits. My skin looks absolutely awesome after using it 4 times. I didn't have any redness or irritation (but my skin generally reacts calmly to exfoliating products), and it works so well with the other items in the group I have (the daily cleanser, the balancer, eye cream and moisturizing day & night cream). It's quite a system to use, and the benefits have been obvious really only after less than 2 weeks of use.

Review - St. Ives Apricot Scrub, blemish & blackhead control
- Oily/Acne prone.
- Oil free.
- 2% Salicylic acid.
- Gently exfoliates to remove dirt, oil and dead skin cells that can clog pores.
- Discover the Swiss secrets for visibly healthy skin.
Sheba says:
Amanda is so right about this scrub. It does the job without irritating my skin. Sometimes the scrubs can be just a bit harsh. This is gentle enough to use several times a week without fear of any excess drying, etc. I had originally gotten a small sample of this and it worked. So I bought some and have found it to be a pleasant alternative to some of my other scrubs. The scent is certainly nice enough. All in all, it does its job. It leaves your face clean and smooth with all the dead cells gone. She mentioned the price being so reasonable and that is a definite factor. It works as well as some of the much more expensive ones. You can usually find this on sale at your local beauty supply places. It is a very good investment for a minimal price.

Review - Aromafloria Green Tea Bamboo Crème Glow Polish
| Green Tea Bamboo Crème Glow Polish | ||
| Our refreshing Crème Glow Polish uses bamboo pumice to polish away dryness and refine rough areas. Crisp bamboo cleanses while green tea antioxidants protect the skin. Light, creamy texture is gentle enough to slough away those rough areas. | ||
I know that Cityslicker recently posted about a similar product, but I think they are different enough to warrant a second post. Like the mango exfoliant this body polish is light and gentle, but it also has the antioxidant protection of green tea. I tend to use products infused with green tea a lot, because they are so beneficial to sun damaged skin. I'm 23, so there aren't lots of visible signs of sun damage, but I'm protecting for the future.
This body polish is not really an exfoliant, it really is more like a polish. It is like a face mask only slightly more granular. Things like sugar scrubs can be irritating for me, so I'm psyched that I found this product. It doesn't really have any smell, which is sort of disappointing since I'm a perfume hound. On the flip side though you don't have to worry about getting out of the shower smelling like a bunch of different things...
I really like the way that the polish works though, it gently takes off dry skin, and even off of really rough patches. I'm a fan.
