Review- Curlisto Deep Therapy Masque

I've always loved a hair mask and frankly I do not have enough of them in my life. I generally only indulge post-color at the salon. Curlisto offers up a really precious hair repair here. I left it on for the full 8 minutes it suggested for "longer hair" (shorter hair is 3-5 minutes). What I came away with was extremely soft strands and major manageability. As I remarked in a previous post for this product line, they apparently crafted something to give one's hair bounce no matter what the styling method and this rich conditioner promises "frizz-free hair" and that's exactly what I got.

Malikah says: As a woman with naturally coarse and EXTREMELY dry hair, I found this hair mask to be an absolute savior. My hair really takes on a lot of abuse, including chemical relaxers and heat styling, so I do try to deep condition it weekly. I left this rich hair mask on for 8 minutes as well, even though I have shorter hair. My hair really was miraculously soft, smooth, and shiny, after just one treatment. My style even stayed smooth and bouncy through today's gross 90+ degree heat!

Sultana says: I concur!!! This is good for dry, frizzy hair. Frankly, I think this masque can work with any hair texture. I am a big fan of Curlisto now. I absolutely love the way they customize a plan for your particular hair type. They literally write a "Prescription" for you locks!!! How great is that??? This makes you feel confident that you can maintain any look you want no matter what kind of hair you have.

Hillary says: I feel like the odd man out on this one. The directions say to wash, condition and then use this masque. I thought it must have been written wrong. When do you condition before a mask? I'm going to have to write more of this review when I try it with those steps, because when I used it without conditioning first, it left my hair tangled and unmanageable. I'm going to try it again and get back to you. But frankly, it's already got a strike against it as I'm not a big fan of extra steps. Deedlejuse Says: I always have trouble with my super long, processed, blond hair. If you have processed blond you know what I'm talking about. It's THIRSTY! I have to say, please do as Hillary recommends and DO NOT forgo conditioning! It does not end well.... But, if you do condition before hand you will see brilliant results, and some really lovely hair! Hair masks are, I agree with Josephine, a favorite, if unfortunately lacking, part of my beauty routine. I really did like the one from Curlisto. I have to say one of the best parts of this line, for me, is that they are quality, without the super-scented-ness of some other brands. They err on the lighter side, which I love. So, yeah, I would say all in all I loved this mask. I didn't find it to leave any build-up, but it did make my hair flounce beautifully, and completely manageable!

Trish Says: I'm another fan here! By now, you may or may not know that my hair can best be described as perhaps moody - where it likes some products and just plainly rejects others. Having fine and delicate hair, I usually stay away from most deep conditioners or masks, because often, after all that is said and done, it just makes my hair heavier in the end. Even more so, I usually have to be selective about what I can and can't use on my hair. No worries here though, this Curlisto Masque delivered top results. Instead of flat and lifeless hair, I got soft and frizz-free locks that were light, bouncy and manageable! I know, I know, I'm surprised too. My hair actually looked and performed better than its normal best day and I didn't have to work that hard to make it happen. This is definitely going to be a part of my hair-care routine. The 8-minute conditioning was time well spent and the results were stellar even for me!

Review- Obliphica Treatment Hair Mask

I touched up my roots one day recently and the instructions say to not shampoo or condition once you rinse out the color. I used the Obliphica mask in hopes to "lock in" the color for some unparalleled amount of time. I'll have to add an addedum to this review if it works. Anyway, I wasn't hugely impressed with the effects of the conditioner post-root color but I had a feeling that these products are really hardcore and work specifically with each other within the line so I saved some that I was going to use with my Oblphica shampoo sample. A couple of days later I used the rest of it in conjunction with the shampoo and I was pretty happy with the result. Said result was achieved, from what I can tell, from the proverbial hand of the shampoo washing the hand of the conditioner, if you will. Additionally, I have been rolling effortlessly through the stankiest weather in the history of NYC with straight hair.

Sultana says: I am picky with deep conditioners. I've had the best and the worst. This one falls right in between. Its a good hair mask but it didn't do anything about the knots I get in my hair. Which surprised me because this is made for color treated and damaged hair. It did however, leave my hair softer and shinier so that is a plus.
I think that if my hair was shorter, this would have worked better.

Deedlejuse Says: Can I just start with how amazing the smell of this product is! It really is one of the best smelling deep conditioners I have tried. It left the entire bathroom smelling amazing throughout my shower, and even for a few hours after. I can't really give a super-happy review, only because the sample packet was so small, and it really only worked for one deep-condition. I have a feeling that after a few more uses this Deep Conditioner would really be more amazing. For the one use I had though I will say I really liked it. My hair looked and felt very soft and shiny, and the thickness of the suspension was just right to really get down into my locks. I would reccomend getting this product and trying it, even if you don't re-purchase, because it has amazing potential to be a star!

My hair can best be described as dry & damaged. It has suffered years of color and straightening treatments and hear styling, and as a result I'm constantly plagued by dryness, frizzies, and breakage. I've cut back a lot on the flat ironing and hot curling, but the effects haven't changed much. I'm constantly searching for the perfect hair treatment to add moisture to my mane and prevent breakage. I have yet to find the formula that will keep my tresses soft and silky, without weighing them down or making my style fall flat. Sadly, Iden's Intensive Hair Mask is not that perfect treatment. I had high hopes when I massaged the creamy, softly scented conditioner into my hair post-shampoo. But by the time I had rinsed, dried and styled my hair, it had absolutely no shine or bounce, and wasn't noticeably softer. And just a few days after using it, my hair was completely limp and particularly dry on the ends. I guess I'm back to the drawing board. Sigh.

I was reluctant to get overly excited about this, as I kind of think that it’s hard for a company to branch out into all facets of the beauty industry. I had this for a couple of weeks before I used it. It’s like nothing I have ever used. All other hair masks go on and envelop my hair. This is silky, thick and rich when I squeezed it into my palm. When I applied it my hair completely sucked it up. I was afraid that it wasn’t going to work for me. As I rinsed I could feel that my hair was very smooth and tangle free. I combed without a hitch and decided to dry without any products. My hair was soft and shiny with some flyaways but relatively tame. The scent is light floral with a sea like smell. I really enjoy using this and only use once a week. The longer I use it the more I like it! I will re-buy when I run out!
