Review- L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream

Enriched with Shea Butter, this creamy and non-greasy moisturizer nourishes and protects hands, leaving them delicately scented. Contains cherry extract from Luberon, Provence. $10

It seems the season of dry-hands has returned! What I love about this L'Occitane Cherry Blossom Hand Cream is that the shea butter component provides instant, immediate relief, leaving my skin feeling silkier and smoother upon application. It dries nicely and smoothly all around and is not too thick or heavy on the hands. Great for those of us who are impatient with hand creams. I personally love quality scents and this Cherry Blossom fragrance is sweet and delicate at the same time. It's strong enough, but also uplifting for me. If you like sweet, fruity fragrances, especially with hints of cherry, and are looking for a hand cream that definitely works, this L'Occitane cream delivers highly in scent and smoothness!

Review - L'Occitane Hibiscus Flower Shea Hand Cream

This Limited Edition Hibiscus Flower Hand Cream, enhanced with an exotic and sensual fragrance, is highly concentrated in Shea Butter (20%) to help protect, nourish and soften your hands.

She went to Tahiti the summer after her sophomore year of college. "All alone?" her friends asked her. Alone, she told them, she could have an adventure. Her grandmother had given her enough money to sustain a few months in a tropical climate, so off she went.

It was hard at first, being a foreigner who wasn't quite a tourist. "I want to see everything," she told the woman in the dress shop. "Everything? Good luck," she said, and went back to her gossip magazine.

But she did try to see everything, even when rain beat down like there could never be enough water. As she ran through the rain, she saw him: a tan boy with a basket full of hibiscus blossoms. He saw her dashing through the rain and chuckled. "Kind of wet out, wouldn't you say?" she shouted over the sound of thousands of water droplets pelting the ground and the trees and the rocks. "Kind of?" he laughed outright at her, and held out a flower. "For the lady in the rain." Then he was gone. And at the end of the summer, so was she.

Sometimes she thinks about that boy when she uses her L'Occitane Limited Edition Hibiscus Flower Hand Cream. She lets the shea butter soak into her dry hands and inhales the divine scent of the flower that, for a moment, meant everything to her. She's older now, and doesn't run in the rain, but at least her hands smell like hibiscus.

Review - L'Occitane Desert Rose Hugs & Kisses

L'Occitane En Provence is one of those companies I just really like. They are employing 12,000 women in Burkina Faso (not that I know where that is) and use the highest quality Shea Butter in all their products. I seriously love this brand. Their hand cream is something I have been using for years, it isn't oily or greasy and sucks right in so there isn't any residue like with some other hand creams I have used. The scent on this one is very light, almost not there at all which I like, and I'm not a big rose person but I can honestly say I like it. Its nice and clean, like you just washed your hands. The lip balm in this set isn't my favorite, its super moisturizing and very emollient but I just can't dig a lip balm that smells like flowers....... personal preference is all! If you like rose, and like a super natural clean smelling rose you will love it, I would just rather whipped cream or vanilla personally! As for the price point, $19? ehhhh it's a lot, but it goes to a great cause and keeps those lady's in business! I'll throw down 20 bucks for some awesome hand cream and lip balm (both a little goes a long way) that will keep me hydrated and happy for this bitter winter weather, plus it makes a GREAT little gift idea.Text Color

Review- Atopalm Moisturizing Hand Treatment

"Atopalm Moisturizing Hand Treatment is an advanced anti-aging treatment cream designed to diminish visible signs of aging while protecting against environmental damage. Because the hands are regularly exposed to the sun, harsh weather, chemicals, and more, they are often the first area of the body to give way to visible signs of aging. Moisturizing Hand Treatment works to combat common aging signs, such as fine lines, wrinkles, and dullness, leaving the hands looking younger and more beautiful."

First of all, notice that this is called a hand "treatment", not a cream because although it moisturizes it treats at the same time.  If this stuff had a decent SPF rating it would literally be everything I've ever wanted in a hand cream!  But some people are sensitive to sunscreens and Atopalm products are meant for us sensitive types.  The thing that really amazes me about this product (besides how well it moisturizes) is how little an amount one needs to moisturize both hands.  We're talking minuscule amounts compared to my other hand creams.  I don't think I've ever gotten better value from a hand cream because at $18 a tube it's a bit pricey, but it will last you a while.  It's so moisturizing that my hands still feel soft after washing them, yet it soaks in nicely and you won't have any trouble turning doorknobs (that always happens to me with hand cream- put it on, stuck in the house.  Also there's a bonus for us techies, it doesn't affect the use of my touchpad on my computer or my phone.  This is going to be the savior of my hands this winter and I'll bet you a tube that it will last me until Spring!  I'm calling this one a "must buy" for hand cream aficionados and techies alike.  Oh, and the cherry on top?  Free shipping from the Atopalm store (see link above).

Review- Alpha Hydrox Ultra Rich Hand Therapy

Super creamy formula enriched with Lactic AHA. Gives immediate, long-lasting relief for even seriously dry, chapped hands. Rich & silky, not greasy. 3% Lactic AHA. Fragrance Free.Contains silky, smooth moisturizers with no greasy residue

I know it's summer and my hands are not even the slightest bit dry or scratchy - but I'm so addicted to this super thick and rich hand cream, that I can't stop using it! It really, really is creamy and takes quite a long time to dry, but once it does, boy is it worth it! I love the feeling of moisturized hands that last throughout the day. With continued use, my hands seem to be softer than ever. I'm so hooked on this hand cream and am glad it's affordable because I think I've converted to this thick lotion year-round!

Review- Aveda Hand Relief

Incredibly rich moisture therapy soothes dry, chapped hands—leaving them noticeably softer and smoother. Hydrating plant emollients, humectants, exfoliating fruit acids and anti-oxidants—including vitamins A and E—help diminish signs of aging and provide optimal relief.

• Increases moisture levels and elasticity in skin with continued use.

This here is a great little hand lotion. Although it's a bit greasy for my tastes at first use (I prefer fast absorbing lotions and this one can stay a little greasy/slick for a few minutes after applying it) it does the job fantastically. It's not overly perfumey or scent saturated and it really does revitalize stressed out skin (like the bottle says). During the cold weather, while the rest of me looks like I'm in my 20's, to my chagrin my hands look like they belong to a 90 year old woman. After using this lotion a few times today, I have to say my hands definitely are less red and chapped and have lost that old dried out look that other hand lotions fail to deliver so quickly. A small bottle is around $7 so it's definitely something to pick up and have in your purse for when your hands are looking really rough.

Hillary Says:
My dry hands love this hand cream. My nose loves the fresh, slightly lemony scent. My conscience loves the fact that Aveda does not test on animals and make their products in the U.S.A. I, as a whole, really like the texture & wearability of this cream. I use it sparingly or just on the backs of my hands for day. I slather it on big-time before bed. One of it's first ingredients is aloe, but it also contains the emollients glycerin & Vitamin E. Now if they just made it with sunscreen (my personal crusade).

Deedlejuse Says:
This is definitely a really good, down to business sort of hand lotion. It is a bit greasy when you first apply, but nothing beats it for moisture and staying-power. My only problem with it was I really didn't like the smell. It was super natural smelling, like you had been rolling around in the green house after all of the plants had been thrown on the ground. It is probably great for a lot of people, and I'm sure that most people like that green sort of smell. The smell didn't stay for too long though, and after the first few minutes it is just a really great lotion. I bet that if my hands were a little bit more dry I would absolutely swear by this and not be picky about smells!

Trish Says:
My hands - they have been so dry and chapped lately, it's helpless. As soon as the temperatures drop, it's back to desert-like conditions on my hands. In need of major relief, something more than my average hand lotion, but not as rich and heavy as a body cream (although I have gone there), I broke out this tiny sample of Aveda's Hand Relief lotion. And let me say it works! Even on the roughest, driest of conditions, a small amount quickly absorbed into my skin, hydrating the surface and conditioning it at the same time. Because this sample is small, on my first couple of tries, I either used too little - and needed to apply more although I found that the lotion does sink into my skin beautifully or I used too much and had to let the hands dry out a little. Once I figured the right amount for my poor hands (a dime size will do) - I noticed just how well the lotion worked! It is smoothening, conditioning and fully softening, without stripping away any natural oils. Other positive factors for me include the nice blend of plant emollients and hydrating vitiamins, which you can really feel working into your skin, as well as the fresh natural scent that goes with Aveda products. Lovely stuff - especially for winter hands!

Review- Liz Earle Hand Repair

Non-greasy and intensely nourishing, this potent treatment offers instant relief and protection for dry, chapped hands every day. 3.3 fl. oz. $28.50 (5 sizes avail.)

I am a total sucker for a good hand cream. I use it so frequently, I'm constantly searching for creams that meet my standards - soaks in quickly, doesn't leave hands slippery and smells nice are my top three requirements. Liz Earle Hand Repair meets all these criteria and more. It has a very unique texture thanks to the fact that talc is the second ingredient, but don't let the presence of talc scare you. After all, how many times have you broken out on your hands? This cream absorbs really well while still making your hands feel moisturized. It contains Echinacea and Vitamins E and A. I use a touchpad mouse and if I apply this cream and rub it in well, I can use the touchpad right away. This is a must-have hand cream if you like to moisturize your hands but need your fingertips dry to work with. Moisturization without greasiness AND a great scent- what's not to love?!

Review- Yes to Tomatoes Tender Touch Hand Cream

*Combines Organic Tomatoes, Avocado (a great natural source of potassium, which increases moisture retention) and 26 Dead Sea Minerals.

*This special combination not only promotes healthy skin, but also absorbs excess surface oils, perfect for balancing skin.

*99.6% Natural Ingredients

*Free of Parabens, Petroleum and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate

*Against Animal Testing

*Has it's own charity, "The Seed Fund"

Before I discuss the performance of this hand cream, let me tell you briefly what it is: it's an almost entirely natural hand cream, free from ingredients found in most other creams that are suspected of doing (in the long term) more harm than good. That said, don't go into sampling this hand cream with the thought of tomatoes in your head despite the name. It smells nothing like tomatoes and lets face it, love them or hate them, most of us do not want to smell like them. This has a very light, pleasant smell which is very clean and I venture to say, good for men or women. In addition to how good it is for your hands, it feels good on them as well. It absorbs almost completely while leaving your hands super soft. The only thing I would change is I would add a sunscreen.People seldom realize how much time their hands spend in the sun. Tender Touch Hand Cream really has everything you want in an everyday (& night) hand cream without a lot of things you don't need. Those of you with super-dry hands or that work with your hands in water might need something a little heavier, but for the average person, this cream is perfect. An added bonus is that the generously sized tube is going to last me a very long time as you only need a pea sized amount to be completely moisturized. This would make a great component of a Valentine's day gift basket!

Review - AHAVA Dermud Intensive Nourishing Hand Cream

Highly concentrated formula created to rejuvenate even the driest skin. A grease-free blend of mineral enriched mud, Mineral Skin Osmoter™ complex and assorted natural essences works deep to relieve itchiness, redness and scaling and stimulates your skin into moisturizing action.

This Dermud Intensive Nourishing Hand Cream really is just that intensive. If you are like me and you need a little extra love in the winter this just might be what your looking for. It is serious stuff, just a dab will work in and take the edge off, but don't use too much or you will feel a little greasy! After the first couple of weeks you will notice that your hands feel much softer and the oh-so-attractive scaly winter look will be behind you. The smell is not my favorite. I will say that, it is really natural and sort of smells like a clay face mask. Like I said it tends to be a bit greasy if you use too much, so I always apply right before bed and it works like a charm. $25 seems like a lot, but really for how long this 4.2 oz. tube has lasted me it's more like a long term investment!

Review- Pevonia Youth-Renew Caviar Hand & Foot Cream

- Easily absorbed
- Potent concentration of actives
- Repairing, rejuvenating
- Visible anti-aging results

I really like this hand cream. It's got a great consistancy and it melts into your skin in no time flat. I've used it on my feet as well, but I prefer a salve on my feet to a cream so this tube has found it's place in my purse. I actually had someone compliment me on my hands the other day and ask what hand cream I use. I told them that I use this one and they seemed impressed with the results. My only problem with this product is that it says it has UV protection, but nowhere on the packaging or the website does it say what level of SPF it is. If it's a 15 or higher I'm ordering a gallon!

Review - HollyBeth Lavender Hand Cream

Sweet and rich, this fragrant hand cream provides a relaxing effect to help uplift your spirits and reduce emotional stress. $22
.
If you like Lavender you will love this, the scent is full bodied but not perfumy. It has a very natural scent. I found it to be a relaxing scent that worked well on my hands. When I first got it, I did have to use an orange stick to stir it up; it had begun to separate so I had no choice. This is thick and rich and perfect for the hands and feet! I use it for both. My hands are dry right now and washing them at work all the time doesn’t help. They can be downright raw when you touch paper throughout the day and the dryness follows! I found that a smidge of this cream instantly revitalized my hands and soothed them too. I really enjoy this hand cream and based upon the amount that I use, it’s well worth the $$... Thanks HollyBeth!!

Sheba says:
I have been using the HollyBeth Marigold & Sweet Basil Shea Butter Hand Cream which seems to work very well for me. Hollybeth describes it as 'Inspired by visits to India and Thailand, this earthy cream conjures exotic fragrances and invigorating images to keep you rejuvenated and relaxed'. I have to say I really enjoyed the difference in fragrance from my usual ones. It is more exotic as they say. It is not overpowering at all. It leaves your hands so fresh, soft, smooth and hydrated. Shea Butter seems to really work for me whenever it is an ingredient. My skin loves it and reacts very well to it. I have mentioned many times that my dog is a licker so I wash my hands constantly and need to apply cream much more often than most users would. This cream works and it is at a pretty reasonable cost for the product you get. City Slicker mentioned that a smidge does the job -- she is so right. You will definitely get your money's worth.

Review - True Blue® Spa Shea Cashmere™ Hand Cream

Wrap your hands in cashmere. Infused with both cashmere extract and rich shea butter, this ultra-moisturizing hand cream glides on sensually to soothe and nourish. Non-greasy, it absorbs quickly, leaving hands supremely silky and lightly fragranced with a creamy vanilla scent that's both fresh and comforting. Domestic. Revolutionary spa formula combines rich, moisturizing African shea butter with luxurious cashmere extract to envelop skin in supreme silky softness.
Not tested on animals SIZE: 2.5 fl oz/73 mL $14.50

I got a very generous sample of this hand cream and it is definitely a keeper. It is absorbed as you apply it -- it is that fast -- or my skin is that dry. I love the scent which they say is a creamy vanilla. It is not your usual vanilla - it is a softer one and definitely not overpowering. It just smells delicious. My hands feel so good with this cream. It leaves them feeling soft, smooth and very silky. There is no feel of lotion left on them -- just the beautiful smoothness. I have had problems with some scents that I have gotten at Bath and Body Shops but this is not one of them. It is not a perfume- like fragrance. It is a very soft vanilla. Perhaps it is the cashmere extract that gives you the softness, but whatever it is -- this cream really does the job.

Review- Archipelago Pomegranate Hand Creme

Archipelago Botanicals Pomegranate Hand Crème is formulated to help keep skin looking young, and healthy. Natural Pomegranate, White Tea, Jojoba, Chamomile and Grape Seed extracts help keep skin moisturized and protected by environmental free radicals that age the skin. $25.00

Holy cr*p I love this hand lotion. I brought it to work today and everyone's coming over to my office and using it over and over again. It is so smooth and silky and gets rid of that dry feeling after washing your hands with harsh office bathroom soap. It's better than any lotion I've had sitting on my desk so far, that's for sure. And I love Archipelago's consistent committment to great ingredients and supremely high grade products. This stuff ROCKS. the smell is great. Perfect for an awesome gift for someone.

Movie Maven says:

Amanda's right...this lotion is so good, it makes me want to use four-letter words. the pomegranate scent is fruity without being overbearing, and it's so, so lusciously creamy. I was baking all day and washing a LOT of dishes, and just a little bit of this stuff brought my hands back to wonderful softness. It's a little on the pricey side for just everyday use, but again my co-reviewer is right: anyone would be pleased as punch to get this as a gift!

Joyce says:

Archipelago was wise to call it crème rather than cream because it’s like lightly whipped cream rather than heavy cream (or grease). The top note when you first apply it is fruity and has green tones, to my nose (think botanicals, freshness of nature). As it settles onto and into the skin, it gets quite soft scent-wise. It’s a hand crème, but I put it all over my body the other day. When I was out with a friend of mine that day and we saw a mutual friend, she said, “Someone smells amazing!” I told her it was me and what it was. “Where can I get that?!” was what she said next. She admitted she doesn’t like perfume or cologne, but she’d love to wear this scent. She was very excited to learn it’s a crème. Back to the product . . . There’s an immediate smoother appearance on my skin when I put it on; but remember I said it’s a crème, not a “grease.” This is very (pardon the pun) handy since it’s inconvenient to use a hand cream only to have to wipe some of it off before you touch anything.

Sheba says:

Archipelago Botanicals Pomegranate Hand Creme is such a delightful discovery. It is all that everyone else has said. It goes on so smoothly and you only need a little dab to do the job. I have been using it as a body creme as well as a hand creme once in a while. It just moisturizes your skin in one swoop and leaves it so silky smooth and feeling great. The scent is not strong, strong!! I have a problem with lotions, creams, and cremes that overpower you. This does go on a tiny bit strong but dissipates incredibly fast, leaving you with just enough scent to enjoy it without being overbearing. This particular Pomegranate scent is wonderfully clean, fruity and fresh. all at the same time. You will not smell like a bowl of fruit -- you will have a light fragrance about you which not only you will enjoy. People you encounter notice the wonderfully light scent just as Joyce's friend did. How can you go wrong -- it works wonders with your skin while leaving you with a terrific scent. The ingredients are wonders for your skin. I have mentioned that I need to wash my hands several times a day as my pooch is a licker -- so I do have to use this on my hands more than the usual user. However, the little dab I use lets this last and last. The price is a little high, however, everything about it warrants the price. Everyone else mentioned what a great gift this would make and they are on target. But treat yourself right - buy one for you also.

Deedlejuse says:

I agree with everyone above. This hand creme is absolutely wonderful. I love it. It smells like a fruit bowl of wonderfulness, we all know, that true pomegranate smell can be a little much...... this is so different. It is lightly scented with a wonderful crisp citrus that has red fruity notes and a little bit of green. The creme itself is so nice, my hands look soooooo much nicer than they did pre-hand creme! It isn't greasy at all and soaks in in seconds. Like I have said a thousand times Archipelago makes a really nice product, you don't need to worry about ordering anything from their site because it will be wonderful!

Hillary says:

Not to sound like a band wagoneer, but I also love this hand cream. It smells absolutely edible. Also it fits my criteria for a daytime hand cream in that it absorbs completely. I already had high expectations of this cream because it's by Archipelago Botanicals and I've never been dissappointed by any of their products. As Joyce said, I'm using this on my legs as well as my hands and it works wonderfully there as well. It comes in a generous 4.8 oz. tube and a little goes a long way. If you're looking for your winter hand savior, look no further!

CitySlicker Says:

I was delighted to get my paws on this handcream. I find myself using one, then moving on, then going back. I was in the market to switch off of one and use another. I totally find that when you mix your products up, you never get tired of them. This is a delight to use, it’s a crisp tangy scent that couldn’t be blended any better. I use only a pea sized portion a few times a day and my hands look nourished and feel hydrated and smooth. I do find that I need to apply after washing my hands but that it with just about every hand cream. One of the best features is the dry down isn’t long and the finish is velvety smooth with no greasy build-up... One other cool thing is this works wonders with the night cotton gloves. I slather about a nickel sized portion, slide on the gloves and go to sleep and wake to results are baby soft hands and the smell to die for! One other thing, this tube is like a work of art, so I leave it out for all to see, too pretty to conceal! Great Line!

Maria says:

Sorry, I'm so late to the show on this review and I don't know why because I instantly fell for this handcream. Yum! I have kicked my others off my nighttable and here this one sits. Instantly hydrated, moisturized hands -- but not greasy. Your hands just feel soft. What a concept! Oh, and the scent!! It's divine - not too tangy or fruity or floral - it just smells awesome. Totally unique from anything else. I dare not take it to work and put it on my desk for fear that everyone will use it...I'm going to have to try what City Slicker did with the night cotton gloves - sounds like such a pampering treat. I love the tube design too. Very pretty! Another winner from Archipelago - what a unique and wonderful line full of one-of-a-kind products and scents, and beautiful packaging to boot.

Review - Mario Badescu Fruit and Vitamin A&D Hand Cream

Vitamin rich Fruit Extracts smooth and soften skin while providing protection from harmful sun damage. Made with Orange Extract to rejuvenate dull skin. (SPF-10)
Good for All Skin Types
4oz. - $10.00

As stated in the name this hand cream contains fruits and Vitamins A + D. It does have a slight fruity fragrance (not citrus though). Personally I like the fact that it is lightly scented as more heavy scents can clash with your cologne or even overpower it. Fear not - this one won't do either. It is NOT greasy and is easily absorbed into the skin. You are left with a very soft silky feeling. You really do not need much, I found that just a little dab does the job for me. I am a dog owner, and, as such, I wash my hands frequently. I love my little stinker but after I pet him I wash my hands. Constant washing does dry out the skin something fierce. Mario to the rescue . . . one dilemma solved. Other creams also work as well but some have a greasey feel to them while others feature a very strong fragrance. This hand cream does the job for me.

Review - L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

A super-smoothing--and best-selling--synergy of 20% Shea Butter, honey and sweet almond extract, blended with the light and alluring aromas of jasmine and ylang-ylang essences. Texturally pleasing balm glides on and absorbs to help heal and protect dry or dehydrated skin. Anti-oxidizing vitamin E helps nourish. Invites even the most hard-working hands to a fresh beginning. $25.00

CitySlicker Says:

This is a thick rich hand cream that really coats my hands. It absorbs pretty quickly but does leave behind a feeling of weight, like they are coated. My hands aren't greasy or slippery. This is great for weathered, hard working or super dry hands. I find that the scent reminds me of a baby, it's got that babies bum cream kind of scent. It's light and lofting once it's on. I can wash and it's still there too.. This is great for putting on before bed & if you wear the night gloves you wake up with a super soft hydrated hand.. For me it's like they are someone elses.. This is a great remedy for people like me who don't wear gloves in winter. My paws get red, dry and raw! This is the kind of cream I will use on occasion, when needed. My hands feel transformed after only a few days of use..

Hillary says:

I can't say enough good things about this hand cream! I've been using it for years. I haven't found another hand cream as rich as L'Occitane's; it's like wearing protective gloves overnight. I'm an obsessive hand washer but no matter how dry my hands get, one night of this cream does the trick. It has a pleasant, not at all overpowering scent. I don't generally use it during the day because I find it too rich for that purpose. Overall this is one of my beauty must-haves. The price may seem steep ($25) but I've been using the same tube for over a year. Highly recommended.

Sheba says:

This cream is miraculous, especially as an overnight cream as suggested by both City Slicker and Hillary. I am one of those people who rarely uses gloves in the winter (stupid-yes) and never wears them when working in the garden (another stupid). I think I just have a difficult time maneuvering with anything on my hands so I never wear gloves. This cream repairs all the damage I do to my hands. It does have that 'clean baby' scent which is not overpowering at all. I prefer this cream in the colder months, but then I pull it out often when working in the yard. I have mentioned before I have a dog. He is a licker and I need to wash my hands countless times a day. Of course, they get dry from all of that. Now the little darling is coming in with ticks. I manage to get them off of him but I don't just use soap and water them -- I actually use rubbing alcohol to make sure all germs are killed. That does a job on the skin. The cream reverses the damage completely. The cost is up there -- but you don't need a lot. . . it will last. Unless you are as bad as me -- washing your hands 20 or more times a day due to a very adorable dog. I feel that I do get my money's worth from this cream.

Review: Nantucket Natural Oils Organic Spa Shea Butter & Olive Intensive Therapy Cream

More than 70% Certified Organic Ingredients. This buttery-rich, therapeutic emollient contains an extremely effective 20% level of Certified Organic African Shea Butter, proven to heal and transform super-dry and parched areas into supple and revitalized skin. Shea Butter is combined with Certified Organic olive & jojoba oils, plus grapeseed to provide silky moisturization. We've also infused age-defying extracts of organic white tea and fruit acids, plus organic lavender, calendula and oat to keep skin looking young, smooth and soothed. Workes wonders on hands, callused feet and anywhere skin needs an extra dose of hydration.

When I tried my Egyptian Jasmine-scented hand cream (and bath gel), the first whiff took me right back to Southern summers at twilight when fireflies ruled and honeysuckle vines dripped over fence-tops. I admit the scent ignited in me something akin to an olfactory orgasm. Every time I sniffed the scent on the back of my hand, I moaned aloud; and this went on for an hour. The products do what they’re supposed to; but in this case (for me), they do even more. I have an event coming up and intend to wear this scent so I feel absolutely delicious. I’ll just have to be careful not to moan—or maybe I should and see what happens. Now, if a man picks up my scent and moans…well, maybe I’ll get back to you on that.

Amanda S. Says:

I have the green tea scented version of this cream and I absolutely adore it. It smells so subtle but delicious and I love green tea scented ANYTHING. The cream is nice and thick, perfect for hands and elbows and rough spots, or after shaving/waxing. I love the natural nature of their products too which really leans me toward buying them as they seem, bottles and all, to be very DIY which is my thing.

CitySlicker Says:
I am amazed at the effects when using this cream. I got mine scented to resemble Marc Jacobs Daisy. It is absolutely to die for. It’s sweet, fruity and a delight to wear. This cream is whipped to its light texture. It is easy to apply but the moisturizing ability runs deep. It absorbs well leaving a non greasey feel. I can instantly pick up a pen. I brought it into work and the people in my office enjoy using it too. I ended up bringing it home because I started to get greedy and didn’t want to share. This cream seems to last on my hands till I wash off. You won’t believe how soft and smooth your skin can be!

Sheba says: I cannot go wrong with any of their products and this is no exception. I use the one scented like 'Fresh Laundry'. I love the way it smells -- just like the original and I love the way it feels. It works wonders wherever you use it. I have applied it to my elbows and they enjoy the moisture relief it brings them. Of course, my hands love it -- they feel amazing -- soft, smooth, and fragranced with one of my favorite scents. It is very reasonably priced for a product that works so well - and smells so good while doing the job!!

Movie Maven says: Yes, yes, yes. So thick, so rich, it seems like a different class of cream than your garden-variety drugstore lotions, a princess among peasants. The insane variety of scents opens up a whole world of olfactory pleasure. I chose a delicious grapefruit/rosemary combination - light, but with enough crisp punch to make you want to smell yourself. The shea butter really packs a lot of moisture in a small amount, so it'll last you a while!

Deedlejuse Says:
This cream is, I think, one of the absolute best that Nantucket Natural Oils sells. The difference in the cream is really noticeable, it is much thicker and creamier than a lot of the ones out there. Of course scenting it with your own favorite flavor is the best part, but I got an unscented sample and I have to say it is still wonderful that way, even though sometimes unscented creams can smell sort of rough. This one is almost like fresh olive oil, it is a really nice smell. If you have always wanted an unscented option for cream this is a wonderful choice!

Review - Crabtree & Evelyn Gardener's Hand Therapy Cream

After a long day of handling thorny situations, our gardeners hand therapy is just the help you need. Nutrient-rich shea butter helps nourish and condition work-roughened hands.
  • Shea butter rich formula
  • Soothes
  • Conditions
  • Restores softness
Scent: Fresh green clover, lavender, sage rosemary and thyme.

This is a great thick hand cream that does the job when I've been painting all day or working on a project that involves a lot of dirty hands and thus a lot of hand washing. It goes on pretty greasy but absorbs fairly fast and has a pleasant enough scent. What really makes this cream stand out though is the texture, it's super super thick but not in an unmanageable sense where you can't properly rub it into your skin, it's just got a great unique texture that I really like. It may be a little too over the top for every day use or having at your desk/in your purse, but if you're working outside or washing your hands a lot, this definitely re hydrates the skin and makes it look fresh and soft.

City Slicker Says:

I too believe this is a great hand cream. When I use it, it really feel like it's coating my hands without feeling like they are coated. It's grease less and lasts.. When washing you can see the water bead of the skin but once the soap hits it, it quickly rinses away. I find the scent to be earthy and light. A friend got this for me almost a year ago and I still have a lot left, this is the kind of cream that a little goes far and you won't need to reapply as often as most.. I work with a lot of paper and my hands are always dry.. This is a product that when I apply regularly makes a significant difference. I think that usage is the key and I tend to be a slacker. Also I want to mention that it absorbs quickly so you can get back to doing whatever was on the agenda!

Hillary says:

I'm a little torn on this hand cream. On the one hand, it is a great, super softening hand cream. On the other hand, you have to be very cautious to use it sparingly or else you won't be able to turn a doorknob! I like this cream for night as it does leave my hands silky smooth, but I'm not such a fan for daytime use.

Sheba says:

This is one powerful hand cream and it works wonders. Yes, it is a bit thick but not so thick as to be a problem. You just need a tiny dab and it absorbs into your skin so fast. You will be amazed at how soft and silky even the driest hands feel once it is applied and used for a little while. Actually as soon as you apply it your hands feel the difference. Because you need so little you will have this cream for the longest time so you won't have to buy more that often. It is definitely one of the best for hard working hands. I have had some very good luck finding this on EBay at excellent prices. As of today, 12/18, there is a 20% off sale at the website above. Have no idea how long it lasts but worth it to check it out. First check EBay.

Movie Maven says:

Part of my attraction to this hand cream is the packaging - I know, I know, that's not the thing by which you're supposed to judge products (or books, as the saying goes), but it's just so quirky and cute! The little old-fashioned metal tube just makes me happy. I have to concur with Hillary on this one - the first time I used it, I accidentally squeezed out FAR too much and was frantically searching for someone I could share with! But once I got the hang of it, this cream was lovely. The scent is surprisingly pungent, though - I used it in a car and the other passengers all immediately smelled it. It's not a bad smell (a sweet herbal blend), but it gets right in your nose right away! So perhaps forewarn any other passengers that you'll be using it.

Deedeljuse Says:

Can we say LOVE! I am a huge fan of the all natural, and while I am not positive that this hand cream completely fits the bill, I am positive that I love it enough to let minor infractions slide.... As all of the above have mentioned this is a super thick, rich, lover-ly cream that leaves the hands super moisturized and happy. The packaging is so easy to use, and I have never had the problem of squeezing too much out. Why do so many creams think that pumps are a good idea? I will never know. What I do know is that I adore the smell of this hand cream. It is generally deliciously green and fresh just like a garden should smell. Wonderful, oh and the hand soap is pretty delectable too.... All for another time.

Review - Sun Feather Gardener's Herbal Hand Cream with Shea Butter

Soothe your hard working hands with Sun Feather's moisturizing hand cream with premium shea butter.

Sun Feather makes some really great natural products, and I was excited to try out their hand cream because I had used their insect repellent before and it was great. The cream smells a little like ginger and lemons and absorbs super fast and is non greasy. Because I don't have a garden, I decided to improvise and clean the house using some fairly harsh stuff, which normally dries the heck out of my hands. I washed my hands and used this cream and waited about an hour to see if my hands had their usual desert cracked dirt feeling that I get after cleaning, and alas, they were soft and smooth with no signs of abuse. At $13 a bottle on their site, this is also a lot cheaper than other equal gardener's creams, and I would frankly recommend this one a little more because it smells less medicinal and strong than other gardener's creams I've tried.

Review - L'annine Lemon Hand and Body Cream

This non-greasy moisturizer is formulated to heal and protect dry, chapped skin. It is gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin types, yet tough enough to be recommended for a diabetic's foot care plan.

I've been using this cream on my hands for 2 days at work after my many compulsive hand washes, and there is something really unique about it. I'm not sure if it's the fact that it is 'silicone based' as the packaging says, or what, but it absorbs incredibly fast and really plumps up and hydrates my skin with absolutely no greasy weird after-feel. I have to admit though, even though I think the cream in and of itself is top notch, the truly significant factor here to me is the smell. It smells like Pez and I can't stop smelling my hands after I put it on! I love the smell, it's really delicious and cute.

Joyce says:

This is the kind of product I’d love to have with me all the time for my hands. I used it on my legs, as well. At first I thought it wasn’t doing much. I waited a minute then stroked my legs again. They were smooth, and I realized I’ve become used to greasier products. I can see that this is perfect to use anytime, but especially when wearing more delicate fabrics like silk or lace, and especially in the summer. I also liked the light, fresh lemony scent.

CitySlicker Says:

I am on board with the other reviews. I found this to be an exceptional hand cream. I have used it at home after washing my hands and at work. I need a hand cream that doesn't leave my palms greasy. I am known to have sweaty palms so you can understand why a dry palm that is grease free is nec. This cream is just that. it goes on and it seems within a minute after rubbing on, it's completely absorbed and hands are velvety soft and smooth. The scent reminds me of a lemon lollipop. It's lemony and sweet at the same time. I am also seeing an improvement around my cuticles.. Hallelujah!!

Deedlejuse Says:

I totally agree with everyone above. This cream is really amazing! It leaves your hands so silky smooth, and smells amazing. I actually think the smell might be my favorite part of this hand cream. Not because I don't love the way it makes my hands feel, or am not amazed by it's staying power, and haven't noticed a difference in the overall look of the skin on the back of my hands, because I have noticed all of those things. The reason that my favorite part is the smell is because it smells soooooo wonderful. I love it, it is like a sweet lemony pie or something. This is the best smelling natural lotion ever. Two happily moisturized thumbs up!

Sheba says: I found this cream to be extremely effective. Other creams work well and I am happy with them. This goes beyond. My skin seems to drink it up and then quickly show me the results. I wash my hands numerous times a day as I do have my dog and he is a licker. My hands get dry from all of the washing but that dryness just disappears with this cream. You would not even know that they had been as dry as they were. This had found a place in my regime for sure. However, I selected the Avocado cream which has a very refreshing scent. I will definitely go for the Lemon next time around after reading all the reviews. One of my favorite scents is Fresh Sugar Lemon and it sounds like the lemon would blend with that very nicely. The cost is very reasonable for the benefits I received.

Review- L'Occitane Ice Hand Cream Gel

Unique gel turns to a matte, powdery finish, reducing perspiration and swelling sensations. Enriched with organic verbena extract and tapioca powder to soothe and absorb, leaving hands feeling dry and cooled. The aroma of verbena, orange, geranium and lemon tree appeals to men and women.

$18 for 2.6 oz. @ L'Occitane

This is a very unique product. It's a hand cream that goes on like a cooling gel then dries to a powdery finish. It's so handy! No slippery hands like with ordinary hand cream. I use a touchpad mouse and it's almost impossible to use if you are wearing hand cream, except this one. It smells like fresh verbena leaves (one of my favorite smells). I don't recommend this to people looking for heavy duty moisturization, but if you're looking for a light, daytime hand cream, this one is great.
