Oh my god, girl, you do not even know how much I love a peel-off mask. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Even when I was a pre-teen, before the ravages of mild to moderate acne, I used to love just slathering that gel on my face, letting it dry while I watched an episode of Full House, and then peeling it off and rolling it into little balls.

This mask is a little fancier than the Drug Emporium (RIP)-purchased masks of my youth, but it is just as satisfying. As you can see from all the science talk up there, this mask has a bunch of stuff in it to make you look prettier than you already are (I assume Beautifile readers are the prettiest). But what I care about more is: how does it feel on my face? This mask feels SOOOOOOOO GOOOOOOOOOOOD, like you are putting pudding on your face, but then it gets tight and makes your pores feel really small (I'm not even sure how it's possible to feel that, but trust: that's what it felt like). Anyway, I really liked it, but I would so not pay $30 for it. But this Amazon seller claims to have it for $6.49, which, I don't know, but try it, I guess? I hope you don't accidentally waste $6.49! I cannot vouch for them, so let us know how it does if you risk it.

Review- Dermalogica Multivitamin Power Recovery Masque

Just as our bodies could use multivitamins, I'm starting to believe that our skin sure can benefit from some good ones as well! After using this multivitamin recovery masque from Dermalogica, I've noticed a more improved skin tone and overall smoother surface. It's light and goes on very easily, absorbing deeply into the skin and after the 10-15 minutes, my skin looks radiantly brighter and softer and yes healthier too in a short amount of time. Think of it as a rejuvenating and replenishing masque for the skin that soaks up all sorts of needed goodness to soothe the skin, heal and repair, while also smoothing the surface for a clean and purifying effect. The best part is that my skin does look brighter and healthier and it really does feel a lot a better. If you want a detoxifying masque that is also nourishing and gentle, this Dermalogica recovery masque does the job.

Review - Montagne Jeunesse Tonic Mask

Rip open and feel immediately perked up! The orange oil aromas smell so fresh - freshly squeezed! Pure Vitamin C invigorates the skin restoring natural vitamin levels. Fresher, Softer and stress free. 

I freaking love face masks like this. Growing up, I used to (and still do) love peel-off masks because they made me feel fancy and spa-like, but there is something about the towel-based mask that makes me feel EVEN FANCIER. Maybe because they are single-serving? In any event, I love them, and was excited to try this orange oil-based one from Montagne Jeunesse. 

This mask is intended to invigorate your face, but with my face, I think the experience was a little TOO invigorating, because I got ALL RED after using it. I did look amazing while using it, however:

Turbin' it!! Apparently you are supposed to pull the mouth part off and use it on your nose, but I didn't read the directions or realize that, so my nose went un-masked. At first, the mask felt really nice, but then it started to warm up (it did say it was a thermal mask) and my face started to get a little too hot. I think if you have less sensitive skin than I do, you might be all right, but it was too much for me to take, and I looked like a lobster when I took the thing off. That said, Montagne Jeunesse has, like, a million kinds of masks and I kind of want to try them all, even after this less-than-stellar experience with this one.

This stuff is amazing! I had been looking for a face mask that would keep my combination-oily skin smooth, nourished, and blemish free, without harsh, drying chemicals. Enter PCA Skin Purifying Mask. Apply the mask to clean dry skin, let set for a few minutes, then dampen your fingers with warm water and massage your skin. This lets the tiny pumice grains work their exfoliating magic, leaving your skin soft and refreshed. I’m telling you, this kept my skin glowing all week, even through a pretty nasty cold. None of my friends even believed I was sick! I'm officially in love with this multi-tasking face mask, and would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone!

I had some pretty notorious acne throughout my high school years, and while my breakout days are over, I'm still left with a bit of discoloration due to the post-acne scars. Pesky little pimples tend to leave scars and dark marks, especially when they don't heal properly (yea I'm guilty of popping and picking at them). Sonya Dakar Lightening Mask is is an amazing mask, formulated with licorice and Vitamin C to naturally lighten dark splotches. I applied a thick layer to my skin after washing off my makeup, and let it sit for about 15 minutes before rinsing off. I didn't see any effects after using it 3 times, but usually with a product like this it takes a few weeks before you really see results. The only thing that turned me off about this was the $72 price tag. I can't really say if its worth the expenditure without using it for an extended time period; however I would suggest using it as a spot treatment just for dark marks instead of a full facial mask.


Trish Says: Last week I noticed the beginnings of a tiny pimple starting, so I did what came naturally next - I tried to get rid of it before it grew. Well, suffice to stay the pimple won out and became a worse scar in return! Thankfully, I had a sample of the Sonya Dakar Lightening Mask available, so I gave it try, at least to remedy the damage I created in the first place - and I'm pretty pleased to say, it worked! Of course the scar was pretty tiny and fairly newish, nothing too dark or noticeable yet, and the mask seemed to accelerate the healing and clearing process nicely. It didn't take away the whole scarrring effect all in one use, but a vast and noticeable improvement did result. What could have been a long, drawn out scarry mess became a tiny small mark that gets lighter with every use of the mask. Of course, the mask is on the pricey side still, and the scar doesn't go away immediately, but the healing effect remains remarkable and quite the mistake corrector when we take bold actions against those annoying little pimples!

Did you ever go through that adolescent phase where you were applying St. Ives Mineral Clay Firming mask religiously? I was 15 when I fell in love with that incredible blue fairy. Moving along! This mask smells exactly like that and one deep inhale once Sonya was on my face transformed me back to my parents' house with my dad's sweatband holding my bangs off of my forehead inspecting every teenage pore in my bathroom mirror preparing to apply that potion for the second time in as many days. This is a lot lighter than the other, BTW and so comforting to have on for the reco'd 10 minutes. I didn't see until later that it was for scarring which I don't have a lot of on my face so I can't speak to whether it's miraculous on that tip but my skin was really healthy and glowing for a good day afterwards. I could get religious with this one!

Deedlejuse Says: My only complaint about this mask is that there just plain wasn't enough of it in my little tube. Instead of trying a sample just go for it! You'll be glad you did! The minty freshness of the smell is wonderful, the consistency is perfect (not too thick and not too thin) it is easy to apply and easy to get off, aaaannnnddd it leaves your skin with a beautiful glow. I also don't have too much scarring, or enough of this mask to really do anything about it, but I did notice that my pores were MUCH smaller and tighter looking after my 10 mins. I was really happy with this mask, and generally masks tend to make my face burn and feel pretty uncomfortable, but this just soothed and healed. Like I said, don't bother with a sample, just grab it now!

Trish Says: Anything with green tea makes me thrilled! Even better when the benefits of green tea show up immediately. And so it is with this cleansing and soothing facial mask. Even with my first try, I noticed tiny scars noticeably lighter and my skin much smoother and softer. For me, it does not take much for a pimple or skin irritation to leave a mark on my skin for weeks, but with this mask, it speeds the healing time and regenerates the cells producing a healthy and beautiful glow remarkably. A definite skin repair must for those who scar easily and want to restore the skin to its natural healthy, vibrant, smooth, and clear condition. Results are almost instantly visible, but mostly likely will require regular use to fully see benefits.

Sultana says: I agree that there was not enough of this mask to go around, however I saw quickly that a little went a long way. I have lots of scarring from acne and I try a lot of different products that claim to reduce marks. This one did what it was supposed to. The smell was very refreshing and you can feel a very subtle tingling when its on. After I washed it off, my face was vibrant. It looked like I went to have a facial in a salon and they scrubbed it thoroughly! If it did that in one use, imagine what it would do long term. So the price tag is a little hefty but we know that when you find a good product that works, you have to buy it. This is also good if you have sensitive skin as well. I didn't have any irritation or redness the next day and just about everything makes my skin irritated. I could see myself using this at least once a week.

Review - Sony Dakar Blue Mask (Irritation)

I put sunscreen on the other day, I swear. But I was out and about a bit longer than I anticipated, sweated a lot, and ended up with a slightly pink nose and ruddier-than-usual cheeks. So I figured the Blue Mask from Sonya Dakar might help, since it's intended to assist with irritation and has some cooling properties. I slathered it on, looking slightly ghoulish, but hoping for good results. After a few minutes, I felt a slight warming sensation, something I attributed to the fact that my face had been pelted with UV rays all afternoon. But when I removed the mask, I was horrified: my face, formerly only red on the parts that get the most sun - my nose and cheeks - was completely red. Everywhere. Well, not quite everywhere- just the places the mask had been.

I freaked out. "What happened! This is supposed to be cooling! This is supposed to stop irritation, not create it!" I shrieked to my roommate, who was just trying to enjoy an episode of Kendra and a beer. "It's probably fine," she said, barely looking up. "Maybe it's, like - it makes it worse before it makes it better. Just go to bed and worry about it in the morning."

I took her advice and lo and behold - it was totally fine in the morning. Better than totally fine, actually - the redness had gone away and was even reduced from my previous day's foray into skin cancer territory. Moral of the story: if you try this Sonya Dakar mask, don't try it right before a big event like the Oscars or the Truckasaurus Rex Showdown. And if you react badly at first, give it a bit and see if it doesn't clear up.

Deedlejuse Says: So, generally speaking Amanda S. and I have really similar views on many products. Unfortunately, this one is not the same. My skin is pretty sensitive, so this mask really was pretty noticeable while I was wearing it. When I took it off (it did come off really easily and apply like a dream) my skin was literally screaming, bright red, and looked really angry with me. The irritation I was tring to get rid of were a few pimples I have gotten recently from stress, and seriously, so not worth it! I did notice the next day that my skin was back to its normal color, and the pimples had really diminished, but I would say that if you find that you have sensitive skin leave this mask for others..... Or if you have intensely irritated skin, I guess.

Review - Yes to Carrots C the Difference Mask

I really love this mask. My skin, as I have said over and over again, has become in the past two years totally prone to freak attacks, redness, dryness and suddenly, breaking out! The horror!

When I got this product, my first reaction was, I LOVE CARROTS. I drink carrot juice all the time, I eat carrots with my dinner, and holy cow, I even have a rabbit who eats carrots with every meal. So I totally say yes to carrots already. My faith in carrots proved strong again with this mask. My freak out skin relaxed the first few times I used it, the dryness tapered off the few days after each use, and my breakouts seemed to be breaking my life apart a little less. This isn't one of those explosive 'oh my god what's happening???' masks that tightens on your face and cracks like a barren desert, nor does it turn into a shiny scary peel off (those sort of scare me, does anyone know of any that don't feel like they're going to yank all the teeny fuzz off your face? I'd like to try one that doesn't hurt!) and it doesn't give my skin any sting. I would really recommend this for those that (1) like natural products and (2) want to try something without hidden dangers.

When I was a kid, I loved peel-off masks. LOVED them. I had tubes and tubes of them all over the place, just because I liked peeling them off my face. The thing is, peel-off masks are SO NOT NECESSARY for a child, because the whole purpose is to "renew" your skin, and kids don't need skin renewal. At some point, I stopped really using peel-off masks, and I'm not sure why, because guess what? I STILL LOVE THEM. And this Decleor Paris Radiance-Revealing Mask is a great one. Now, this is definitely a high-end product, and at $41 is pretty pricey. That's really the only complaint I have with it, though. The main thing that bothers me about some peel-off masks is that once they dry, they don't actually PEEL all that well. This one, however, practically came off in one big piece, which made it easy for me to ensure that it was all off my face. (It was easy to apply as well.) While I didn't see a huge difference, I could practically feel my pores unclogging as I removed it (which sounds hokey, but for real guys...it was kind of amazing). If you're in the market for a luxury peel-off mask, this is it.

Deedlejuse Says: Ladies, I am almost positive that most of you have forgotten how wonderful it feels to use a peel-off mask, or at least a quality one. Personally I have to totally agree with Movie Maven, the ripe old age of ten was exactly the last time I used a peel off mask. I loved it then, and I really love it now! There is just such a fulfilling feeling to peeling off the mask after you have allowed it to dry, and then to see the results. It took a few rounds of bi-weekly application, but now there is no hint of darkness in my pores, and my skin is so soft. The mask comes off in one fell swoop, and although you don't actually see impurities in the peel, you will see the results on your skin. I am definitely sold, and I will treasure this mask down to the last drop!

Hillary says: OK, let's just say we all agree that peel-off masks are cool. It hasn't been that long since I last used one, but it was nowhere near the quality of this one by Decleor. This is truly the Lexus of peel-offs. It goes on so easily that I think it would be very hard to mess up (unless you didn't put your hair back first- that could be a problem). You simply apply a thin layer, wait 8 minutes and peel it off. Every time I've done it, it has come off in no more than 2 pieces (which is cool to see, I don't know why). It can totally pull off the flakes from dry skin, leaving your face refreshed. It makes your face feel amazingly smooth and extra clean. It is recommended for all skin types and seriously, how often do you get to have fun while doing something good for your skin in the privacy of your own home? I like to finish off with Decleor Tonifying Lotion and Essential Balm.

Review- Ahava Intensive Hydration Mask

I had never tried any other Ahava products before trying this mask, but they have a good reputation preceding them. This mask lives up to expectations. It is rather unique in that according to the directions, you don't have to wipe it off. If you apply a thin layer, it absorbs completely in about 15 minutes. My skin is super-dry, so I follow the alternative directions and put on a healthy amount and leave it on overnight. Now you might think that leaving a moisturizing mask on overnight would leave me covered in pimples. Not so. I've done it 3 times now and I haven't broken out at all from using this mask. The mask smells like flowers and @ 3.4 fl. oz., it's certainly going to last me a while. It's recommended for all skin types, even sensitive skin. There are so many beneficial ingredients in this mask: shea butter, aloe, Dead Sea water, Dead Sea mud among others. Ahava means love in Hebrew and I "Ahava" this mask.

Review - Eminence Organics Quince & Ice Wine Mask

We received samples of this wonderful Quince and Ice Wine Mask, so unfortunately this review is only for one application. I say unfortunately because I want gallons of this beautiful smelling mask to be mine! It is quite grainy, which was sort of abrasive when I applied it, but as long as you're gentle with your application and removal it should not be too rough. The smell is to die for, and I loved every second of it being on my face. When I removed it I noticed that my skin was a bit red for about 10 mins. but my skin is generally quite sensitive to masks and such. After the redness cleared up I noticed my skin felt very clear, and moisturized. I did have to apply a facial cream afterward, but it is winter and I need my moisturizer! All in all, like I said, if I had enough of this mask to use it twice a week I would be a very happy girl! I don't know if they offer samples, but if you can score one this mask is totally worth trying.

Sheba says: When you go to their website you will need to call their toll free number in order to locate the nearest distributor to you. However, it is worth the extra effort. . . Eminence Organics Quince & Ice Wine Mask has one heavenly scent to it and it is a pleasure to use it. Follow Deedlejuse's hints and go very easily with the application. Don't rub it in too much as you will definitely irritate you skin. However, when you gently apply and remove it -- you will be rewarded. Your skin looks so healthy and moisturized. It is winter and that means heat blasting away drying your skin around here. You do need to add moisturizer to to protect your skin from the heat damage. You will like everything about this product!!

CitySlicker Says: The sample we got is very small and for me almost too small. When I am giving myself an at home treatment I like to slather masks on. It's just my nature. This was a very thin application. The scent is divine and the mask feels lovely on my face. I found that it dried down very quickly so I spritzed myself with my favorite Caudalie Beauty Elixir, this gave me extra moisture and prolonged the wear for me. I utilized what I think to be the grape pulp as an exfoliant when rinsing away. The end result is baby soft skin that feels fresh and clean. I would love to be able to apply this one a week and just relax after. I think this is a great line that offers some at home luxury!

Movie Maven says: Oh, Eminence. The scents of your products are so, so good. This Eminence Quince and Ice Wine Mask smells absolutely glorious. The recommendation on their website says to place moist gauze strips over the mask while it's on your face, which I did not do, but I was very pleased with the results anyway. The mask has a lot of granules in it, which definitely do well to exfoliate, but were a bit abrasive. Just be cautious and you'll be fine! Definitely a thumbs up.

Review - Liz Earle Young Skin Try-Me Kit

While I wouldn't say I have young skin, I definitely have the skin problems of a much younger woman. Overactive oil glands lead to a constant battle between me and pimples galore. So when I got the opportunity to try this Liz Earle Young Skin Try-Me Kit, I was stoked. It comes with a variety of products, so I'll talk about each one (in the order you use them).

Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser: This cleanser, a thick cream that you apply to dry skin, then "polish" off with the included muslin cloth, is fast becoming one of my favorites. It left my skin soft, but not oily, and I did see mild improvement in my problem skin after using it for about a week and a half (which is about as much as you can get out of the little tube in the try-me kit). It did claim to remove even "tough mascara," which I didn't see happening, but it's definitely a nice product for teens (or women whose faces think they are teens).

Deep Cleansing Mask: This mask might work. I could only use it twice, though, because the smell is so strong that after I used it (AND put the toner on AND put the lotion on), my face STILL smelled like rancid dirt. I really wish it didn't smell so bad, because the two times I used it, I liked the results, but it's just not worth it when there are other, lovely-smelling masks out there to use. The only plus: it comes with two sponges to sponge the mask off your face and provide an even deeper cleansing. Skip this one. Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer: This toner in a little spray bottle is, thankfully, wonderful-smelling. I don't really care for the spray toner thing generally, but this spray bottle worked well and was a much finer mist than others I've tried, so I liked it.

Skin Repair Light Combination/Oily Lotion: This lotion really is light and works well on oily skin. In the winter, it's so difficult to tread the line between "my face is so dry it's about to fall off" and "I need to do something to control this grease" when you have combination or oily skin. This lotion moisturizes just enough for the winter dryness to be under control, but not so much that it will overdo the grease.

Final Thoughts: The kit is well worth trying out if you've got combination, oily, or problem skin, even if you're not a teenager. But if you're buying full-size products, steer clear of the mask!

Review- Skinn Dimitri James Olive & Enzyme Rich Balm Cleanser and Deep Cleansing Mask

Rich in Polyphenols and skin resurfacing enzymes, this water-free, super-rich, night-time cleansing balm is the ultimate skin luxury. First, it dissolves dirt, makeup, daily grime, pollution and dead skin cells. Orange oil works to purify, while a new high-tech bio-engineered enzyme resurfaces for the cleanest skin ever! Apply as a mask for the ultimate super smoothing, resurfacing, deep pore cleansing treatment. $15 for 2 oz., $24 for 4 oz.

I've used this balm as both a cleanser and a deep cleansing mask and I loved it both ways. My favorite thing about this cleanser is the smell. The orange oils make it smell like a Push-up pop from the Good Humor truck when I was a kid. If you don't know what a Push-up is, you haven't lived. As I've mentioned a few hundred times, I have very dry skin. It was totally soothed by this creamy cleanser. In addition to imparting moisture, it removed every trace of dirt and make-up. And the price is awesome. I have the 2 oz. size and from the amount you need to use, I'd say it's going to last me a minimum of 25 washes. The ingredients list is chock full of good for your skin things like calendula, olive oil, orange fruit oil and beta carotene. I recommend this as a PM must for anyone with normal to dry skin.

After using this product as directed for a week, I was impressed. The texture of my skin has improved. It wasn’t bad before this product, but it definitely improved. My skin is softer, and has a more even appearance. When I put makeup on whether cream, liquid, or mineral powder, my complexion is one I’m pleased to show off. I like the menthol feeling and the tinier grains that exfoliate. I even spread it down my neck and décolletage and saw a difference in those areas, as well. I give Skinn a big thumbs-up.

Review - Dimitri James Skinn Cleanser / Mask

This gentle yet highly effective deep pore cleansing mask utilizes the latest in micro-sponge technology to pull trapped dirt, pollution and excess oils from pores without dehydrating the skin.

This is a great cleanser, I love the texture and smoothness, it's not runny or clumpy, and it doesn't sting or strip your skin. It's also a cleansing mask so you leave it on for a little while and then rinse it off. It certainly does its work while it's on there! After a day at the beach, I used this cleanser and it pulled all the sandy dust and grime of Coney Island off my face, and it felt smooth and clean. Even right after sun exposure my skin didn't feel tight or dry, and I just needed a teensy bit of moisturizer after use, which is amazing because I usually need to put on a few layers after a day like that. Living in the city, I love the idea of a product that can pull the muck and gunk from my skin after a day walking around in the smoggy streets!

Review- Linden Leaves Moisture Replenishing Facial Masque

Formulated with a blend of witch hazel to cool and tone, green tea extract for its anti-oxidant properties, chamomile extract to soothe and reduce puffiness, comfrey extract to promote cell regeneration, fennel oil to rejuvenate, anise oil to prohibit bacteria and to calm the nervous system and manuka oil to aid healing and normalise the skin condition. 5.4 oz. $29.95

This is a unique mask in that it doesn't dry on your skin. It stays in a gel form while it's doing it's moisturizing. It smells like black licorice due to the anise oil in it. The ingredient list is chock full of things things that are naturally good for your skin like witch hazel, green tea, comfrey & chamomile. As far as the degree of moisturization goes, this is an excellent mask for normal-to-dry skin. It won't get rid of flakey skin on the first try, but it will on repeated use. After using this mask, my face feels fresh and hydrated. What more can a girl ask for?

Review - Mario Badescu Orange Tonic and Flower & Tonic Masks

Flower & Tonic Mask: This is a combination purifying and calming mask for congested, bumpy or slightly oily skin types. The Kaolin based formula absorbs dirt and oil from pores while the soothing, botanical Balsam Peru ingredient soothes minor redness and irritation.

I decided to review these two masks together because they're intended for the same skin types and do close to the same thing - but one does it better. They're both listed as being "purifying" and the basic function is the same: clean up those pores! I tried the Orange Tonic mask first, and I liked it all right. It smells like a Creamsicle, spreads on thinly, and once rinsed, leaves my relatively oily face almost a little too dry. It worked well, and I would have written it up positively, though not effusively...if I hadn't used the Flower & Tonic mask already.

The main reason I liked the Flower & Tonic mask better than its citrus counterpart (yours truly being a girl who likes her citrus) was the consistency. The Orange Tonic mask is bordering on runny at about the consistency of room-temperature ice cream, while the Flower & Tonic mask fares better, closer to pudding consistency (yours truly ALSO being a girl who likes her dairy-based desserts). It works just as well, does approximately the same thing, and smells a little better; the Creamsicle smell got a little tedious after a while, but the light floral scent in the Flower & Tonic was nice and not overpowering or cloying. You really only need one or the other of these two masks, and if I had to recommend one, it would hands down be the Flower & Tonic one. It's a nice, basic mask to have in your arsenal.

Review - Alaska Glacial Mud Facial

When I first investigated the website for Alaska Glacial Mud Facials, I got very excited - it's a certified organic product! They harvest the mud in a sustainable way! They donate 10% of profits to various environmental causes! "Hooray," I thought, "this company is amazing!" Then I started to worry that the mud facials would fall short of my now-heightened expectations. Thankfully, these mud facials not only met, but surpassed even my inflated hopes. First of all, it smells glorious - earthy, but not musty, natural and sweet. I used the vanilla-lavender scent, which is soothing, but it also comes in a lavender-peppermint and an unscented version. The little applicator brush (which costs extra, but you get free shipping when you purchase it) allows you to spread the mud on more evenly than you would with your fingers, so you get more uses out of the 3.5oz jar. I left the mud on for the recommended 20 minutes, then rinsed and - I am not even making this up - saw IMMEDIATE tightening of my pores and a reduction of redness in my face. (I tend to be what Dickens might have called "ruddy-faced." I would definitely have been a chambermaid or bar wench in his time.) It did feel slightly drying, but nothing a little moisturizer couldn't handle. For that reason, I would be cautious if your skin tends to the dry end of the spectrum - I am definitely over the line into Combinationville, heading down the Oilytown Freeway, so someone with less natural oil on their face might get too dried out with this product. As for me, though - I am officially an addict. At $34 a jar (plus $6 for the brush), it might seem steep for what is, really, a jar of mud, but if I do manage to get the suggested 20 uses out of it, I'd say $2 for a mud facial that ACTUALLY WORKS (and is, don't forget, sustainable) is a bargain and a half. I agree with Movie Maven. I have normal to dry skin and I usually find mud facials rather drying, almost comfortable after removed. This one was definitely a different sort of mud facial than those I have used in the past. The smell was very pleasant; I used the Lavender Peppermint flavor. After, my pores were much tighter and my face just felt fresh and squeaky clean, but not super dried out. My boyfriend even noticed (without me telling him) that my face looked different, in a good way! I was impressed. For me $34 for a jar of facial mud would be expensive, but for the results and considering the green efforts the company is making, I think that it would be worth it. I really loved the way I looked after I used this product I am a big fan.

I, like Deedlejuse got the chance to try the Lavender Pepperment scent. From the moment I opened the container, the cooling mint was enveloping. I am a huge clay mask person and am not sure I have ever tried an actual mud mask. I feel like I have been living under a rock, confessing to this. I always apply my fluid masks with a fan brush. It's easier and doesn't waste any product. This mask is loose and easy to sweep over the face with a brush, it't got the consistency of a cream... It feels amazing on, a cooling sensation take over and really relieves all the stress of the day. I loved the experience..

I read about this last year at some point. I think it was in the spring. I found it in a magazine and was enthralled but never actually bought any or looked into it any further. I am elated that I was able to try this out. Back to the review, I rinsed off using a face cloth, when it dries, it does tighten and make you look like a crumbling statue. It's easy to wash off with the cloth. I wet my entire face as well as the cloth then rinse and rub gently. The results are an instant plump flush face (not from being irritated) My face felt smooth and clean. It was soft but felt refreshed firm. This is a great mask that I will surely pick up. I totally recommend the Lavender Peppermint scent. It's amazing! I felt like it refreshed my skin and relaxed my mind. It's a great spa experience at home!

Holy cow! I am converted, I don't want to repeat everything said above, but here I have been, strolling through life using drug store bought mud masks that are pretty alright but not amazing, and then *this* stuff comes along. WOW! All I can say is honestly, I love this stuff, my skin was so soft and clear and smooth after using this mask twice in one week that I am definitely going to have to go out and get more. I don't want to pretend to know what sets it apart exactly from other mud masks, I just know that there is something special and different that I really appreciate here. If you're a mudmask / facial type person that loves using these types of things, this is well worth the money to have such an experience. Highly recommended.

I’m going to continue to use this on my nose and chin, especially since this mask quickly and easily took care of a blemish that popped up. I did enjoy the cool scent and feel. However, I noticed the fine lines on my forehead that have been diminishing were more noticeable after I rinsed it off. But I’m not going to say the product, alone, had this effect. I’m using a specific skincare line and maybe the two just didn’t agree. This mask is supposed to be for all skin types, but I’d love if the company enhanced one for more mature, dry skin.

This stuff is amazing. I use it in the winter months to aid when my skin is dry and needs a boost. This is so gentle that I never have any adverse reaction. It's easy to apply. I use a fan brush and put a thin layer over my face to right below my chin. It's got a light scent that is a little perfumy but doesn't bother my skin. I like to leave it on as long as possible. I will put it on and go off and do something. This doesn't dry down to a tight face either, it pretty much will remain like a gem on my face that stiffens up but doesn't get hard. I use a wash cloth to rinse. The mask leaves behind plump hydrated skin. My face will have a radiant boost after and the next morning I feel like, "YEAH!" I am rosy and fresh looking. This is great after being out in the elements. I went skiing yesterday so I had this on last night. I have the larger jar and I will use one for the entire winter. I like to use it as a treat so I don't indulge in this often. I love it and will continue to use. This is a fun line and it's available everywhere, but worth a look!

This is a wonderful mask. It's great at detoxing my skin. When I use it the days following really pull everything out then in about 5 days my skin is a lot more radiant, smooth and fresh looking. My skin suffers in the winter months just like everyone else and sometimes I can get a tiny biy oily from all of the extra products I use. I think this mask pulls out everything that doesn't need to be there, it's no drying in the least.. This is a thick mask so I can't really apply with a fan brush, I use my fingers and do my best to apply a really thin layer so I get can the most applications. It dries to make my face look like the sierra desert, it's cracks and looks gross, it's also green so I could go for the the Wicked look too. When I rinse I have a better time of removing everything with a cloth. After rinsing my skin instantly has a smooth and rubbery (not sure that was the best word) elastic feel to it.. I also want to mention sometimes I got get a pimple but not a lot, so if you try this don't go for it the day before a big event. I use this once a week in the winter and usually use it 2x in the warmer month.. A great staple to keep the skin fresh and clear!
