Review- I Love Blueberry & Smoothie Hand Lotion

Super smooth and luxuriously nourishing our new hand lotions will leave your hands super soft and beautifully fragranced.

Mmm, I love the smell of blueberries and this hand lotion delivers highly on scent! I recently switched hand soaps and lately my hands have been super dry, although using this lotion really has softened my skin and made a recognizable difference. My hands literally went from dry and scratchy to silky and well-nourished just from this cream. It's a strong sweet scent so if that's what you're looking for, there's no shortage of fragrance here. Personally, I love the extra burst of fruitiness and find it surprisingly gratifying! Aside from the enchanting scent, my hands really do feel soft and silky couple that with a light touch of luxury, this lotion is an all-around go in my opinion. It dries fairly quickly and doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky, but softer and sweet-smelling, that enough had me sold from the go!

Review - L'Occitane Hibiscus Flower Shea Hand Cream

This Limited Edition Hibiscus Flower Hand Cream, enhanced with an exotic and sensual fragrance, is highly concentrated in Shea Butter (20%) to help protect, nourish and soften your hands.

She went to Tahiti the summer after her sophomore year of college. "All alone?" her friends asked her. Alone, she told them, she could have an adventure. Her grandmother had given her enough money to sustain a few months in a tropical climate, so off she went.

It was hard at first, being a foreigner who wasn't quite a tourist. "I want to see everything," she told the woman in the dress shop. "Everything? Good luck," she said, and went back to her gossip magazine.

But she did try to see everything, even when rain beat down like there could never be enough water. As she ran through the rain, she saw him: a tan boy with a basket full of hibiscus blossoms. He saw her dashing through the rain and chuckled. "Kind of wet out, wouldn't you say?" she shouted over the sound of thousands of water droplets pelting the ground and the trees and the rocks. "Kind of?" he laughed outright at her, and held out a flower. "For the lady in the rain." Then he was gone. And at the end of the summer, so was she.

Sometimes she thinks about that boy when she uses her L'Occitane Limited Edition Hibiscus Flower Hand Cream. She lets the shea butter soak into her dry hands and inhales the divine scent of the flower that, for a moment, meant everything to her. She's older now, and doesn't run in the rain, but at least her hands smell like hibiscus.

Review - Skin MD Natural

Skin MD is actually a shielding lotion which “keeps moisture-robbing irritants away from the skin." It claims to absorb quickly and hydrate the outer layer of the skin. They suggest applying the lotion every 2-8 hours so moisture levels improve.

My skin is extremely dry and I need a good moisturizer to keep my hands hydrated. I followed the directions and used the lotion for a week. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel that it kept my hands hydrated. It may be due to the fact that I wash my hands frequently and suffer from extremely dry skin. However, what I like about Skin MD is that it does soak up quickly so it doesn’t leave my hands greasy. I think this product is good for everyday use for someone that needs minimal moisture, but if you are on the extreme end, it may not suffice.

Trish says: I really like this lotion - alot! It's pretty thin and dries quickly, and yet my skin still feels really silky and soft afterwards! As a hand lotion - the moisturizing power doesn't stay on too long - but as an overall body lotion, I can't get enough of this stuff! It's super thin and lightweight (my favorite kind) and wearable during the summer, yet fully hydrating enough to get through a tough winter, making this the perfect lotion year round! I especially like using this after a shower as the moisture seems to stay locked in for hours. If you're like me and like super thin lotions with a highly silkening effect - then this lotion could be just your type!

Review - All About Hands Avocado Hand Lotion

Packed with nourishing ingredients and emollients, this lightweight lotion has been specially formulated to be absorbed quickly into the skin and is perfect for hard-working hands

So, if we are all living in the same world here I have to assume that everyone else is just as sick and tired of their hand cream feeling sticky and greasy and leaving finger prints all over EVERYTHING. I know I only gave it ten minutes to soak in but SERIOUSLY I have a life here people! Finally, an answer that will not leave your mind worrying about ingredients, your hands unhappy and not moisturized, and you wallet all but empty. All About Hands comes from the Upper Canada Soap Co. which seams like a small, but very contentious company that I would be more than happy to support. I mean the first ingredient is aqua for goodness sake! It is paraben free, synthetic dye free, & phthalate free (Im not sure I know what that means, but I like it!) aaannnddd it leaves my hands moist, but not greasy in literally seconds. All of a sudden I have beautifully soft hands with very little effort on my part! It smells very lightly of avacado, kind of. More like if you made an avacado mousse. I love it, and it is $12 for 10oz. In my opinion that might be the best part!

Review- Danielle and Company Hand & Body Lotion

This hydrating Hand & Body Lotion blends together Organic Oils, Organic Aloe Vera and Vitamin E to restore moisture to the skin, leaving it soft to the touch. This light, non-greasy lotion is perfect moisturizer anytime of the year! Organic Content: 95% organic ingredients.

When it comes to body lotion- I can be oddly demanding. It has to smell nice, moisturize without being too heavy, and make me feel silky, finally on top of everything else - it has to last! That is a tall order, even I know it, but with lotion I get strangely picky...With that said, Danielle And Company's Pure Oats Hand and Body Lotion makes the grade! In all top categories, this lotion passes all my tests with flying colors. Not to mention that it is also made with organic ingredients, which is an A+ in my eyes. Okay, at first, it does rub on a bit heavy for me on the hands as I don't like to feel sticky at all after applying lotion. But, and this is the best part, it does dry smoothly (eventually) and even after washing my hands, the lotion is still on, leaving my hands even softer than before! Major plus for me as I wash my hands a lot. Even better than the overtime moisturizing, the scent is amazingly glorious! I love this smell! I could sleep in it! The best way to describe the Pure Oats scent, which is meant to relax, calm and soothe, is that it reminds me a bit of soft baby powder mixed with the sweet fragrance of play-doh (in a good way!) Total innocent bliss and joy, while relaxing and calming the senses as well. This scent alone makes the lotion a winner, but I can't forget its long-lasting durability. Definitely worth a try for those two reasons alone, and at $4 for the travel size you can't go wrong!

Amanda S. Says: I can't believe this lotion is so inexpensive! I too am super picky about body lotions, I'd rather throw out an entire bottle and lose the money spent on it than suffer through any moisturizer that doesn't work near perfectly for my skin. It does take a bit to soak in, but it's worth it. For the cost, it's a great all natural lotion.

Deedlejuse Says: I am constantly surprised, and pleased with Danielle and Company's products. This morning I used a beautiful glycerin soap in cucumber and then moisturized with the Oats Organic Body Lotion. I smell delicious, feel moisturized, and when used right after the shower the lotion totally soaks in instantly and feels great! The smell of my lotion is quite strong, but not in a bad way. You just really have to be in the mood to smell like oats, not oatmeal mind you, just a sort of clean fresh oat smell. I really like it. This lotion I would say is better as an all over body lotion than a hand cream, but I do like it for both. Everything I have tried from Danielle and Co. has been stellar and I love the Women Power image and the naturalness of it all! Another job well done!

Malikah says: I really loved the texture and feel of the lotion. Its rich and creamy, but still manages not to be heavy or greasy. It gives your skin great moisture, and the lightweight formula is perfect for summer. I tried to Lavender and Spearmint scent, and wasn't too big a fan of the fragrance. I love the scent of lavender, but it was too heavy on the spearmint and reminded me a bit of Wrigley's Doublemint gum. Plus the scent stays put pretty much all day, which is great if its a scent you love. I am a bit torn on this one - the fragrance really isn't working for me at all, but I love the feel of this lotion so much! This is going to be a tough decision . . .

Sultana says: I've never had the pleasure of using Danielle & Company products before. I tried the Lavender and Spearmint lotion. I was in LOVE with this lotion!! I am big on scents that lasts. Whether its perfume, lotion or shower gel it has to have a scent that lasts long. I was with my kids when I tried this and when I put it on, they asked "Mommy, what is that?" I asked if they wanted to try and of course they jumped at the chance. They absolutely loved the minty smell. I found that I felt a little invigorated but relaxed at the same time after using this. The smell lasted a long time. As a matter of fact, I can't remember when it went away. With a $4 price tag, this is a win-win situation for me!

Josephine says: You guys. I am so sorry. Aside from Malikah's review, which mine looks more like, I wish I could add more positive words for this lotion but my experience of it was not as good, albeit comical to some degree. Let me start with what I did like, though: I think the consitency and actual moisture the lotion provides is great. I like this company from what I have seen and I would excitedly try other products of theirs if given the chance. Moving on. I, too, have the Lavender& Spearmint flavor and this is the source, cause and origin of my distaste of this lotion. I knew before I even pressed the pump that I probably wasn't going to be a fan, mostly because I liken this combo of oils to a mild mildew odor. I waited to try it until I hopped out of the shower one night, nary a trace of a scent of any other kind to comingle with this stuff lest my opinion be wrongly influenced. Within 5 seconds, I was inspecting the shower curtain liner for mold and asking the hub in the other room is he smells anything stale coming from the bathroom. Within 5 minutes, all I could think was that I was wearing a straight up dish rag. The hub provided his olfactory experience to offset my prejudice and exclaimed that I smelled "strangely minty, kind of like Bengay." Not a ringing endorsement, either, really.

Review - Stonewall Kitchen Rosemary Lime Collection

Clean fragrant rosemary blended with invigorating lime offers the most refreshing aroma. These all natural products have been developed especially to be gentle, yet truly effective. Convenient Caddy also available includes one Hand Lotion and one Hand Soap. Fragrance and essential oils of Lemon and Parsley. Set of five contains Linen Spray, Hand and Soap Lotion, Dish Soap and Triple Milled Bar Soap. Our Soy Candle is long burning (up to 50 hours), burn virtually soot-free and are fashioned with a cotton wick.

I love Stonewall Kitchens merchandise. I can go on and on about their wonderful Martha Stewart approach to the home.. I recently got the chance to try some of their Rosemary Lime products and so far, I LOVE them.. The scent is crisp and clean, it's a perfect blend between a crisp citrusy lime and fresh rosemary blend.. I find myself taking sniffs constantly.. I got the

Rosemary Lime Hand Soap $9.95
This is a large container and is a bit expensive but it looks wonderful in the kitchen and works really nicely even on the dirtiest hands.. I find that is doesn't dry my hands out & my hands have been super dry, this soap doesn't add any more dryness at all. It's got a nice lather that rinses well and the scent doesn't linger on your hands so you can totally put on scented hand creme with no contradictions..

Rosemary Lime Soy Candle $12.95
This is a great kitchen candle.. It burns evenly and throws a wonderful scent in the kitchen, it's scrumptious.. I love it so much.. I can tell you this, if you are cooking something and you want to remove the scent, this is the candle to help out, the same crisp lime and waffling rosemary take over and make the joint smell fresh, clean and inviting, it's a small jar but it does last and these are so pretty that they make nice gifts too. . . they look like they are home made.

Rosemary Lime Hand Lotion $11.95
This is newest part of the collection that I have.. I had to have it so I got it a couple of weeks ago.. This is a nice creamy lotion that helps with my dry hands and is a perfect topper when you are done with the soap.. I find that one pump is enough and this doesn't make my skin greasy or slippery, the lotion absorbs quickly and feels like silk.. I will be rebuying these, I can't get enough of the scent!

Sheba says:

I received one of these candles in this scent as a gift. Wow, what a delightful scent. It is so very refreshing and does kill any unpleasant odors such as onion, fish, frying oil, etc. The air is so citrus clean with that little tang of Rosemary. I love fried scallops and do not have them that often. Actually I probably have fried foods at restaurants 99% of the time as I hate that heavy oily smell after frying in the house. However, that is no longer a problem -- this candle removes that lingering heavy odor and leaves the house smelling clean and light. I definitely recommend this particular candle -- especially for the kitchen. City Slicker is so right -- they make wonderful presents. The price is definitely on target for a candle with so much to offer. It is a soy candle and we all know how clean they burn. It will last and last and each and every time you use it -- it will deliver its wonderful fragrance.

Review- Archipelago Pomegranate Hand Creme

Archipelago Botanicals Pomegranate Hand Crème is formulated to help keep skin looking young, and healthy. Natural Pomegranate, White Tea, Jojoba, Chamomile and Grape Seed extracts help keep skin moisturized and protected by environmental free radicals that age the skin. $25.00

Holy cr*p I love this hand lotion. I brought it to work today and everyone's coming over to my office and using it over and over again. It is so smooth and silky and gets rid of that dry feeling after washing your hands with harsh office bathroom soap. It's better than any lotion I've had sitting on my desk so far, that's for sure. And I love Archipelago's consistent committment to great ingredients and supremely high grade products. This stuff ROCKS. the smell is great. Perfect for an awesome gift for someone.

Movie Maven says:

Amanda's right...this lotion is so good, it makes me want to use four-letter words. the pomegranate scent is fruity without being overbearing, and it's so, so lusciously creamy. I was baking all day and washing a LOT of dishes, and just a little bit of this stuff brought my hands back to wonderful softness. It's a little on the pricey side for just everyday use, but again my co-reviewer is right: anyone would be pleased as punch to get this as a gift!

Joyce says:

Archipelago was wise to call it crème rather than cream because it’s like lightly whipped cream rather than heavy cream (or grease). The top note when you first apply it is fruity and has green tones, to my nose (think botanicals, freshness of nature). As it settles onto and into the skin, it gets quite soft scent-wise. It’s a hand crème, but I put it all over my body the other day. When I was out with a friend of mine that day and we saw a mutual friend, she said, “Someone smells amazing!” I told her it was me and what it was. “Where can I get that?!” was what she said next. She admitted she doesn’t like perfume or cologne, but she’d love to wear this scent. She was very excited to learn it’s a crème. Back to the product . . . There’s an immediate smoother appearance on my skin when I put it on; but remember I said it’s a crème, not a “grease.” This is very (pardon the pun) handy since it’s inconvenient to use a hand cream only to have to wipe some of it off before you touch anything.

Sheba says:

Archipelago Botanicals Pomegranate Hand Creme is such a delightful discovery. It is all that everyone else has said. It goes on so smoothly and you only need a little dab to do the job. I have been using it as a body creme as well as a hand creme once in a while. It just moisturizes your skin in one swoop and leaves it so silky smooth and feeling great. The scent is not strong, strong!! I have a problem with lotions, creams, and cremes that overpower you. This does go on a tiny bit strong but dissipates incredibly fast, leaving you with just enough scent to enjoy it without being overbearing. This particular Pomegranate scent is wonderfully clean, fruity and fresh. all at the same time. You will not smell like a bowl of fruit -- you will have a light fragrance about you which not only you will enjoy. People you encounter notice the wonderfully light scent just as Joyce's friend did. How can you go wrong -- it works wonders with your skin while leaving you with a terrific scent. The ingredients are wonders for your skin. I have mentioned that I need to wash my hands several times a day as my pooch is a licker -- so I do have to use this on my hands more than the usual user. However, the little dab I use lets this last and last. The price is a little high, however, everything about it warrants the price. Everyone else mentioned what a great gift this would make and they are on target. But treat yourself right - buy one for you also.

Deedlejuse says:

I agree with everyone above. This hand creme is absolutely wonderful. I love it. It smells like a fruit bowl of wonderfulness, we all know, that true pomegranate smell can be a little much...... this is so different. It is lightly scented with a wonderful crisp citrus that has red fruity notes and a little bit of green. The creme itself is so nice, my hands look soooooo much nicer than they did pre-hand creme! It isn't greasy at all and soaks in in seconds. Like I have said a thousand times Archipelago makes a really nice product, you don't need to worry about ordering anything from their site because it will be wonderful!

Hillary says:

Not to sound like a band wagoneer, but I also love this hand cream. It smells absolutely edible. Also it fits my criteria for a daytime hand cream in that it absorbs completely. I already had high expectations of this cream because it's by Archipelago Botanicals and I've never been dissappointed by any of their products. As Joyce said, I'm using this on my legs as well as my hands and it works wonderfully there as well. It comes in a generous 4.8 oz. tube and a little goes a long way. If you're looking for your winter hand savior, look no further!

CitySlicker Says:

I was delighted to get my paws on this handcream. I find myself using one, then moving on, then going back. I was in the market to switch off of one and use another. I totally find that when you mix your products up, you never get tired of them. This is a delight to use, it’s a crisp tangy scent that couldn’t be blended any better. I use only a pea sized portion a few times a day and my hands look nourished and feel hydrated and smooth. I do find that I need to apply after washing my hands but that it with just about every hand cream. One of the best features is the dry down isn’t long and the finish is velvety smooth with no greasy build-up... One other cool thing is this works wonders with the night cotton gloves. I slather about a nickel sized portion, slide on the gloves and go to sleep and wake to results are baby soft hands and the smell to die for! One other thing, this tube is like a work of art, so I leave it out for all to see, too pretty to conceal! Great Line!

Maria says:

Sorry, I'm so late to the show on this review and I don't know why because I instantly fell for this handcream. Yum! I have kicked my others off my nighttable and here this one sits. Instantly hydrated, moisturized hands -- but not greasy. Your hands just feel soft. What a concept! Oh, and the scent!! It's divine - not too tangy or fruity or floral - it just smells awesome. Totally unique from anything else. I dare not take it to work and put it on my desk for fear that everyone will use it...I'm going to have to try what City Slicker did with the night cotton gloves - sounds like such a pampering treat. I love the tube design too. Very pretty! Another winner from Archipelago - what a unique and wonderful line full of one-of-a-kind products and scents, and beautiful packaging to boot.

Review - Kazam Hand & Body Lotion

Tropical Tangerine Hand and Body Lotion $15.00

This lotion has a great scent, it reminds me of a creamsicle. It is fresh and yummy; it's a very sweet smelling orangey citrus. I have been applying this after showering. It’s a light lotion; it absorbs quickly, leaving soft skin behind. I honestly can apply and dress in 5 minutes; I find there is no down time or greasy feeling left behind. The scent seems strong when I pour it out but light on my body. I prefer to use it on my body rather than on my hands. I need something that has more emollient for the hands. I do have to mention that this seems to be a little expensive for the price.

Review- Space NK Soulful Hand Lotion

A moisturising balm of shea and cocoa butters, wheatgerm, sweet almond and sesame oils with anti-oxidant vitamins E and A to help protect the skin against dehydration. Fragranced with a comforting woody yet floral blend of cedar, sandalwood, rose and lily of the valley.

When I first tried this hand lotion I thought, jeez... this is a bit runny, not very thick... And I just assumed it may be too thin to work on my dry hands and elbows. Um, I was seriously wrong. This lotion smells, in one word: AWESOME. I don't think I've ever used a lotion that smells this woody, natural and beautiful. It goes perfectly with the way I want my skin to smell, and on top of that, my hands were smooth for HOURS afterward, even after hand washing after hand washing at work and home while painting. I'm addicted to this stuff. Unlike strongly unnatural scented lotions, this is so subtle and beautiful. The scent lasts a long time but it just hints at itself. I am using this every day and my skin is loving it.

Review - Avalon Organics Hand and Body Lotion

Formulated with our special Triple Lipid System and beta glucan for fresh, healthy skin, our certified organic herbal blend of organic lavender oil and moisturizing glycerin leaves skin nourished and soft.

Deedlejuse says: This lotion is really wonderful. The consistency is thick and creamy, so it is perfect for both hand and body moisturization, especially when the weather makes you super dry and flaky. My skin is generally pretty normal, but I get dry in the winter so I need good thick lotion. This body lotion is really more like a cream because it is so thick and wonderful. The scent I opted for is the lavender, for it's relaxing properties and also because lavender is supposed to have anti-bacterial and cell renewal properties. The smell really is wonderful, it is definitely the fresh out of the garden sort of lavender smell that reminds you of being in the warm sunshine of the summer. Really lovely....sigh. The company is all about "Conscious Living" so their lotions are paraben free, have no harsh preservative and use no petroleum-based ingredients which can be drying and are just not good for your skin! They also do not test on animals. The best part about this lotion (I think!) is that I got it at Trader Joe's, which is my local affordable health food store, for something like $4! For 8oz! how can it get better than that???? It looks like it is a bit more expensive if you buy it from the site, but honestly this stuff is wonderful, totally worth it!

Review - Daub and Bauble Lotion (Tarocco Orange and Clove)

Don’t worry, we know how to make a lotion that’s not sticky or greasy. Take an easily absorbed, all-purpose miracle moisturizer enrich with Grapeseed Oil and Avocado Butter, stir in Aloe Vera Gel and Vitamin E. Shake it up real good.

This lotion is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The packaging was what first caught my eye - it comes in an array of gorgeous prints for each scent. Happily, what came inside the packaging lived up to the expectations set by such pretty labels. The scent I chose, Tarocco Orange and Clove, balances the crisp citrus of the orange with the warm spiciness of the clove to produce a scent that's not too strong, but just enough. Tarocco orange is a type of blood orange, which is definitely the fashion scent/flavor that is positioned to dethrone pomegranate as the "trendy flavor." The week I got this lotion, I also enjoyed some blood orange and clove-infused vodka, and a blood orange creme brulee! Keep your eyes open for this scent if you love citrus: it's not as sweet as a regular orange or a tangerine, and not as sharp as a grapefruit.

The other great thing about this lotion is that it really absorbs quickly, but effectively, into your hands. I'm a big devotee of the Body Shop's Body Butter, which is great when your skin is crazy dry, but can be overwhelming if you just need a little moisture pick-me-up. Daub and Bauble takes care of that! You can buy it online at amazon.com, or use their store locator to find a store near you that carries their line (which also includes hand wash as well as dish detergent).

Review - Gloves in a Bottle Hand Lotion

Instead of attempting to replace natural oils, Gloves In A Bottle forms a web or bond with the dead skin cells that works like an invisible pair of gloves. This invisible pair of gloves helps reduce the natural oil and moisture loss allowing the skin to heal itself. Gloves In A Bottle helps the outer layer of skin to keep its natural oils and moisturizers that protect the deeper layers of skin, leaving the skin soft and supple.Gloves In A Bottle keeps the outer layer of skin functioning so well so it can breathe and perspire naturally. Because Gloves In A Bottle becomes part of the outer layer of skin itself, it doesn't wash off like conventional lotions. It comes off naturally with exfoliating skin cells.

1 bottle 8 oz.(120 applications)
$12.95

This is a truly unique hand lotion. It goes on easily and is absorbed by the skin immediately. It is hard to describe the feeling it leaves your hands with. If you touch your hand where it has been applied it almost feels as though you are touching silk. It is an incredibly soft silky feeling. There is no greasey feeling at all. It does not wash off, however, I reapply after washing my hands for added protection. I use other hand lotions and creams and really do like them. However, this is my favorite for serious hand treatment. It does not need the frills and fuss that others might provide. It works wonders for your hands. I have begrudgingly let other people use my supply and every one of them has gone on to be a believer. We are now a Gloves in a Bottle Cult. Actually, each has gone on to buy their own stash of Gloves in a Bottle. The price is very reasonable for the luxury this basic lotion provides and for the amount you get in the bottle. You will not be sorry when you try this. You will be amazed.
