Okay, no matter what the season is, I tend to have oily skin, and clogged pores too...so how would adding more oil on top of my skin make it look better? I don't know, but I do know that this DHC Deep Cleansing Oil is a worldwide best-seller for a reason - it works!!! After a long day, with residual make-up piled up, all it takes is a small drop of this Deep Cleansing Oil to truly cleanse the skin (applied dryly) and remove excess make-up, dirt, pollutants etc. thoroughly. I had to test the claims and applied it on cakey foundation, waterproof mascara and all-day eyeshadow - and everything came off! I was amazed. Even more so, my skin looked brighter and more radiant immediately afterwards and even to the next morning. It is luxurious feeling, but also affordable in my opinion, and is definitely a worthwhile cleanser to use a couple of times a week to deeply penetrate the skin...you'll feel like you're treating yourself to an intense mini-spa with all the glowing after effects! This is a great cleanser to switch up your normal routine for that added boost! I know for me, my skin looks much brighter, clearer and radiant as a result, with a healthy glow!

Sultana Says:  As you all know, I have oily and acne prone skin.  Just like Trish, I was petrified to try an oil cleanser.  As skeptical as I was, I tried this not expecting the best results.  I am so glad I tried this because I was so impressed.  This cleanser (if used the right way) will unclog all your pores and make your face the cleanest its ever been.   A little goes a long way, use sparingly for and make sure to rub into your skin until it turns white. 

I guarantee you will be happy with this product.  Its like no cleanser I have ever tried.  Since I have been using it, my face appears much brighter and my pores look less clogged. 

Hillary says:  I've been using oil cleansers for years as they are wonderful for both dry and oily skin (don't ask me how that is, but it's true).  "Cleansing oil with oil, it makes no sense." you say, but trust me, this product leaves your face as soft as a baby's bottom with unclogged pores and a radiant glow.  It is the best cleanser for when your face is dry; it's the only rinse off cleanser I can use during the dry winter months when my face becomes as dry as Gandhi's flip flop.  I recently found out that I suffer from dandruff on my face and this oil cleanser greatly reduces the amount of flaking I experience.  I'm so happy with it, I can see it being my go-to cleanser for years to come.  You may have heard about the Shu Uemura Oil Cleansers, but at a less expensive price point, the DHC cleanser delivers just as well if not better.  You don't even need a separate eye make-up remover, this oil does it all.  Okay, so I'm a bit overzealous about it, but when you find a HG (Holy Grail) product, you tend to get excited.  Try it- you won't regret it.

My skin's been fighting a pretty nasty allergic reaction for the past few weeks. At first, I thought the widespread breakout would clear up on its own (magically? haha), but that didn't happen. Three weeks later and no signs of healing, I had almost resigned to visiting a dermatologist. Yet, wow, after trying this sample of Academie's Hydraderm Gentle Peeling 2 in 1 Cleanser this week, my skin is miraculously clearing up! I am awe-shocked too, as nothing that I tried at home worked, except this beauty wonder. I was starting to get worried that the breakout would soon become out-of-control and start scarring, but the reversal of my skin within the past few days is simply amazing. Not only am I looking to repurchase this as soon as possible, but the cleanser itself is soo nice and beautiful. My skin looks incredibly clean and fresh, as if I had just had a facial mask, but it's just the cleanser reaching so softly into the skin and clearing away all impurities and leaving a brighter healthy surface. Having sensitive skin and being prone to random breakouts sometimes, I feel this is one facial cleanser I simply can't go without! I have to say this is one of the best facial cleansers I have ever tried!! After just a few washes and within the first week, I noticed my tiny, pre-wrinkled, fine lines, are starting to fade and my skin is dramatically looking smoother and softer (more youthful, too) than before. I would actually pay a higher price tag for these results, but thankfully the cleanser is reasonably affordable and very accessible at major drugstores, that I can't help but fully embrace this wonderful skin-saver product! This is definitely worth a try, especially for someone who needs/wants a facial cleanser that is incredibly hydrating, gentle, and promotes youthful (say take away a few years!) healthy-looking skin.

When it came down to it, I didn’t require much from an everyday facial cleanser—just that it effectively, but gently, remove dirt and not strip my skin. On a daily basis, my skin can get semi-oily and clogged pretty easily, and after using this gel wash, it feels so much purer and clearer and looks noticeably more radiant and glowing. It's a great cleaner to use in the morning, as you want this kind of clear and smooth surface to work with. The only small minor complaint for me was that at night, it didn't remove all my makeup, such as mascara, but that's something I'm willing to forgive, because my easily-clogged skin looks so much clearer and purified after using this facial wash. I'm definitely a fan and this gel cleanser ranks as one of my all-time favorites!

I feel that anything from the Burt's Bees line will be a quality-based product and this beautiful facial cleanser is nothing short of 100% goodness. It cleanses so thoroughly with tiny jojoba beads and the fully nourishing royal jelly that my skin feels so soft and smooth and radiant afterwards! This is a wonderfully hydrating cleanser, working especially well for dry skin as well as combination types such as myself. I really appreciate the fact that I can skip wearing moisturizer afterwards and still have healthy looking, clean skin. I'm amazed that such a quality product is so easily affordable and accessible, especially for the eco-conscious consumer as well as the budget minded beauty fan. There's no skimping on quality here and what you get as a result is fresh, young looking skin and a beautiful dewey complexion! I love this cleanser - it works so well and is as environmentally friendly as it is gentle on the pocketbook. With oily skin like mine, the search for a great cleanser always requires a balancing act: I need something that won't exacerbate the greasiness, but won't dry my face out. It's a fine line to walk, and this DDF Blemish Foaming Cleanser walks it with aplomb. My face feels clean, but not overly dry, when I'm finished using this pretty blue stuff. The only thing I really don't care for - and this is a personal preference - is that the cleanser is a foam cleanser. I don't know about you ladies, but for me, there is something cathartic about lathering up your cleanser to create a foam. With this cleanser, which is dispensed pre-foamed, I feel like I'm not able to scrub scrub scrub the way I normally like to. Obviously, this is just my feeling on the subject, but be forewarned that if you like to lather your cleansers up yourself, this one is not for you. Otherwise, highly recommended! I definitely saw a reduction in redness and breakouts while using this foam!

Review- Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

I am a woman who varies her face cleansing routine greatly. Sometimes I use make-up wipes, sometimes a foaming cleanser, cream wipe off cleansers or simply water with a microfiber cloth. To that end I was totally open minded when I got to try Liz Earle's Cleanse and Polish Cleanser. It's very unique (in a great way). You apply a pump of the thickish cream all over your dry face, heat up one of the enclosed muslin facecloths under hot water, wring it out so it's not dripping, then wipe off all the cleanser. What comes off is all of your dirt and make-up. What doesn't is the natural moisture in your skin. You finish off with a warm (not hot) rinse and your face will be glowing. Now you ladies with oily skin who are cringing at the thought of a cream cleanser- don't. I had the privilege of meeting Liz Earle (who is just as nice as can be) and I asked her what is the #1 product she recommends to prevent pimples and she surprisingly said this cleanser. It's good for every skin type and exfoliates according to your preference. If you want heavy exfoliation, you go over your face more with the muslin cloth. I absolutely love it. I've never broken out from it and it treats my dry skin with care. It even takes off eye makeup! Since there are so many price points to choose from (you can get a generous travel sized for $9 with the muslin cloth), it's convenient to give it a try for yourself. I have actually loved all of the Liz Earle products I've tried right down to the foot scrub.

Amanda S. Says: I first saw this and thought, really? I mean, I'm one lazy girl. And now I have this fancy cloth I have to use and then clean off? I gave this a try and I have to admit, I love the texture of the cream cleanser. I've used a few before (I'm more prone to use very basic non-cream ones) and they felt weird and heavy. But this is pretty clean stuff that goes on thick but comes off instantly with the cool cloth thing. It really did remove my eye make up and I was seriously laying it on the other day testing out all these shadows I'd gotten in new colors. It came off instantly! And yea, the cloth was pretty easy to rinse off (I soaked it for a minute in hand soap and hung it to dry).

I use so many products on a daily basis, I try to keep each step in my beauty regime as simple as possible. Sultana says: Wow! Liz Earle is one smart woman! What an idea, what a concept! This cleanser is like a facial in a bottle! Only a woman could think of something this great. I had no preconceived notions going into this, I just wanted to try this right away. It was a really nice experience. I started looking at the ingredients and I noticed it had cocoa butter in it. I love cocoa butter but alone, it is too heavy for my face. I have oily skin and even though this is a substantial cream, it does NOT leave your face feeling greasy. What you get is an instant glow and a very refined surface. My face felt so smooth after I used this.
The muslin cloth is wonderful. Its amazing when you see all the dirt & grime that comes off onto the cloth. It shows that it is working. Normally cleansers I use don't always remove all my mascara but this time it was all gone. It was so surprising because I use a lot of mascara. I had a hard time cleaning off the cloth but I guess that is why it comes with more than one. You can only use it so many times.

I have long thought (not to mention argued to my respective bedfellow) that a woman's bathroom routine at the end of a long day is sacred. Clearly, Liz Earle feels the same way! The muslin, which I was at first a little suspicious of, is divine. I love using it and systematically wiping down my face while enjoying a surprisingly sensual encounter. The cream cleanser smells vaguely of eucalyptus and/or rosemary and it subtly exfoliates--or wait! Maybe that's the muslin. Seamless. That's what I am talking about. I wholeheartedly recommend this cleansing routine.

Using the Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser has been such a treat because it feels like a mini spa getaway. The cream is thick and gives me a nice coat on my face. Plus, a little goes a long way. When I add warm water and put it on, it feels heavenly. I can feel and smell the refreshing eucalyptus oil and it's nice and soothing, probably from the chamomile too. Phase 2 requires you to use their muslin polishing cloth. It has a bit of grainy texture so it gently exfoliates your skin. I’ve used the cream for a few weeks now and can feel the difference. It also does a nice job of taking off my make up without stripping my face or leaving it dry. So really, it's a great all in one cleanser, polish and make up remover and hydrating cream!

Deedlejuse Says: Have you ever come home from work and your face just felt like it desperately needed some love? Like all crusty and tired, and your positive that your pores are super clogged with whatever nastiness you have been dealing with all day? Well that's the kid of feeling you can completely get rid of with this fantastic cleansing system. I have to say, my skin is sooooo happy, moisturised, and refreshed after using this system. My favorite part is that your eye make up completely comes off with the fantastic muslin cloth. I love the smell of the cleanser, and you might not even need to use a moisturizer every time after you cleanse! Movie Maven says: This cleanser, a thick cream that you apply to dry skin, then "polish" off with the included muslin cloth, is fast becoming one of my favorites. It left my skin soft, but not oily, and I did see mild improvement in my problem skin after using it for about a week and a half (which is about as much as you can get out of the little tube in the try-me kit). It did claim to remove even "tough mascara," which I didn't see happening, but it's definitely a nice product for teens (or women whose faces think they are teens).

Review - Pevonia SpaTeen Blemished Skin Line

I'm not a teen, but my face still thinks I am, so this line is probably appropriate for me. This line includes five items: a cleanser, a toner, a mask, a moisturizer, and a spot treatment called "Blemish-B-Gone." I'll discuss each a little bit.

SpaTeen Blemished Skin Cleanser: I love this cleanser. I know that's not enough to say in a review, but seriously - it is wonderful. It has just the right amount of scrubby grit in it to make you feel like you're accomplishing something, but not so much that your face will revolt and turn red. I didn't notice a huge difference in the number of breakouts I had when I started using it, but I did notice that when I stopped using it, my face was like "wait, what? No! We liked that!!" I don't know if this means that I have to use it forever or what, but in any event, it is effective.

SpaTeen Blemished Skin Toner: I'm not so great at remembering to even use toner, but for the purposes of this review, I tried to be diligent. This toner smells a little weird to me, but it was refreshing after a hot shower.

SpaTeen Blemished Skin Mask: My face felt nicely tight after using this, like I'd just had a mini-facial. (note: I have never had a facial, so I guess it's "like I imagine a mini-facial would feel like.")

SpaTeen Blemished Skin Moisturizer: I loved this stuff. It's light without being ineffective, and pleasantly ungreasy. Four thumbs up!

SpaTeen Blemish-B-Gone: I got two tubes of this - it comes in a tube that looks like it might be lip gloss, except that it's white and has a lime green cap - and I couldn't be happier. For spot treatments, this stuff is great. One time, I even managed to catch a little baby blemish and zap it literally overnight (obviously, larger ones will take more time).

Overall, definitely worth a try if you're a teen (or just have skin like one), and the cute packaging doesn't hurt.

Review - Cosmedicine Speedy Recovery Acne Treatment Exfoliating Cleanser

This highly-advanced, fast-acting exfoliating cleanser with its proprietary oil-stopping complex and micro-fine granules not only fights breakouts and eliminates acne symptoms, it actually leaves your skin in healthier and better condition than before your acne problem began.

Man, I love exfoliating cleansers. I love the super-clean feeling my face gets when it's been scrubbed juuuuuust enough to get the icky stuff off my face (and city living can really do a number on you). Cosmedicine's exfoliating cleanser is probably one of my favorites - the "micro-fine granules" they mention in the description? That's totally true. The exfoliating sand in this cleanser is so tiny that even very sensitive skin will be happy afterward, but you still get that great, clean feeling. Now, I don't know whether this cleanser reduced my breakouts, but I will say this: I stopped using it for a couple of days after I forgot it at home when I was housesitting, and I did notice that I had a bit of a breakout when I stopped using it. The only complaint I had about this cleanser was the scent - now, I know for something to be super-effective it needs, like, crazy ingredients from the ocean or something, but this stuff smells a little bit like liquid nori. Not necessarily a bad smell, if you like sushi, but also not necessarily something you want on your face. Overall, give it a go as part of the whole Cosmedicine line!

Using M2 for the last three weeks kind of reminds me of field hockey camp circa 1988. It was a grueling week-long test of one's mettle and every successive day my alarm went off at 5am and I crawled out of bed, I was quite literally closer to the floor, doubled over with so much deep muscle soreness and fatigue that I frequently joked I needed a walker at the tender age of sixteen. But I kept going back every summer because at the end of the week I was in killer physical form and my offering to our field hockey team was totally elite. Get where I am going with this? The physical discomfort of the first week of this line (I had three products to use in conjunction) has been completely worth it--and the website claims that real results start two months into usage! The directions on the back of the bottle offer the possibility of leaving the product on for 30 seconds before rinsing. I found that to be too tall an order, particularly when there was a vulnerability to my face by the end of the first week where I was painfully aware of every minuscule abrasion that didn't even know I had. Finally, in case it wasn't clear, I have seen remarkable results from the M2 line that substantiate every claim they make: clearer, more refined, more even-toned, softer and smoother skin.

Hillary says: This is so weird because Josephine & I agree on practically everything, but on this product (or should I say line of products) we are in total discord. Not that I don't love the products, because I do, but because I've had no discomfort whatsoever from the cleanser or the moisturizer! I hadn't used the products yet when Josephine told me what killers they were but it was worth it because they worked. So I really psyched myself out for that first face wash. I felt nothing! Barely a tingle! I left it on for an additional 30 seconds like the directions say, and still nothing. I rinsed to reveal a glowing, radiant, freshly exfoliated face and I didn't have to go through any discomfort for it. Now mind you, when I went for a photo-facial the other day, the woman kept turning the machine up and asking me if I was ok. Eventually I stopped her. When I was done she was acting all giddy and I asked her "What's up?" she said she'd never used the machine that high before. So I guess my face is pretty tough. What I really like about this cleanser is that I can use it along with my prescription Tazorac with no ill effects.

Review - DDF Sensitive Skin Cleansing Gel

When I first opened this cleanser, I was afraid maybe it wouldn't work well enough. When I see "gentle" and "sensitive skin" on the label of a product, a lot of times this means it is too milquetoast, and will leave make up and dirt residue on my face because it's not a strong enough cleanser to get the job done. When you live in a big city (or really if you work outside anywhere) your skin can get SO grimy so fast over the course of a day. Add to this a layer of make up and then top it off with my being the type of person that's always touching their face... well, you get the idea. My skin can get messy. But this is actually a pretty great facial cleanser considering I didn't even feel like I needed to moisturizer after using it. Usually my skin is desert dry and gets tight and itchy if I don't immediately apply moisturizer, so that truly says something. Just like the website describes, it really does have a 'soap and water' feel to it, but no after-effect that soap might leave you regretting. I even tried this out on a very sensitive skinned friend who swears she can only use cetaphil, and she now wants to buy her own bottle (because... well, I'm not handing this one over).

This cleanser is amazing! With one small pump, you get enough of the fluffy foam to remove all of your makeup and completely cleanse your face. You can skip your eye makeup remover, cause this stuff gets it all off and it doesn't irritate your eyes. It also cleanses and tones in one step, so if you like to keep your beauty routine simple, this is perfect for you. I have combination to oily skin, and in the summer heat the oil can get a little crazy, but this cleanser really keeps it under control. I've been using it once daily for a week, and my skin already looks and feels much healthier. And this product is soooo refreshing to use after the end of a hot summer day - your face instantly feels fresh and bright.

One thing to remember is that a little bit of foam goes a long way, so don't waste your product. The foam does feel really light and fluffy, and as you massage it in some of it disappears. I didn't think it was substantial enough to remove all my makeup, but it really surprised me.

Trish Says: Foamy cleansers are so much fun to use! My favorite part being that you can better apply where and how much to use all over your face, plus the foamy suds lather up to a pretty nice wash. This Cosmedicine Healthy Cleanse really gets deep into your pores and washes away many of the impurities that seem to collect during the day. I agree with Malikah, my skin also looked so much brighter and fresher after every use - a little bit does go a long way! Also to add, the toner provides an extra flawless matte-like finish on top of the skin after each cleansing, tightening and purifying the skin at the same time. While not harsh at all, I noticed this facial cleanser isn't super super gentle, either, so you know it really does do some heavy pore-cleaning action on your skin. As a make-up remover, it works pretty well, except not everything washed away seamlessly - but the best part is that while you're scrubbing off the day's mascara there's not a sting to the eyes at all! A great cleanser for purifying and toning, especially for an oily build-up on a notoriously hot and humid summer day - this cleanser gets down to business and strips away all the impurities, but does slightly dry out the skin a little in the process, which can be helpful when the weather's humid and the skin's oily!

Sultana says: I have oily skin, acne and my skin is sensitive. I am always skeptical when I use cleansers. This foam is so gentle. I didn't have any kind of irritation at all. I agree with both ladies that this does make your face brighter and tighten up your pores. After a few uses I knew that this is something that I would stick with in the long run. I love the fact that it doesn't burn or irritate my eyes too. I can use this with my contact lenses on!
This comes in a very generously sized bottle. It will last since you do not need a lot to wash your face. This is one of those purchases that pays for itself.

Review- Arrojo Daily Face Wash

I love the Arrojo shower gel, it smells so great. I also love the shampoo and conditioner, which I'll be reviewing later on. This facial cleanser is the same, it's delicious smelling and looks really cool (it's pink with neat moisture beads floating in it). I also love the fact that the entire line has that clean crisp minimalist look to it with the straight up looking labels and fonts. It's a nice different look compared to a lot of bells and whistles you find with other packaging. So I went into using this cleanser hoping for the greatness and fun of the other Arrojo items I've used. Sadly, like the label said, I tried to lather, and it just didn't lather. Perplexed, I tried again later, with more water and more product, but strangely... no lather again? It smelled great, looked cool, but I couldn't seem to get it to lather up, and consequently I couldn't tell exactly where it was on my face and where it wasn't, and my skin didn't feel so clean afterward. I gave it a week of twice daily use anyway, figuring, I must be missing something right? But I just didn't find anything spectacular about it.

Josephine adds: I'm actually pretty into this product. I have used it at least once a day for the last two weeks and counting. True to what Amanda says, it doesn't exactly get sudsy but the flip-side is that I never walk away from the sink feeling like I have scotchtaped my face a la Pee-Wee Herman during his "Big Adventure." Additionally, the moisture beads take me back to 1991 when that technology was fiercely cutting edge. One final note, the Arrojo line has built their empire on four tenets and one of them is the meticulously culled scents of their individual products. The facial wash is no exception as this is a remarkably pleasurable scent.

Deedlejuse Says: I'm also going to agree with the people above. It doesn't lather, which is confusing since the label totally says "work into a lather" or something to that regard. But, none the less, I am completely thrilled with this face wash. It smells pretty, like a soapy floral, and really works into my skin so that I feel completely fresh and vibrant. I think I tend to use too much, because it is really easy to squirt a bunch out because of the packaging. There is a lot in the bottle, however, so I am planning on it lasting a good long time. I also like the fact that it really cleans without a whole bunch of scrubbing, I have sensitive skin so too much, can really be to much. With this face wash I never feel tight or anything. I love it, and will totally repurchase!

Sultana says: OK good. I thought I was crazy when I used this and it didn't lather! Phew! I was so excited to try this because I like facial washes that have beads in it to scrub your face. Sadly, these beads are few and far between. They don't do very much scrubbing either. However, I have sensitive skin and this is very gentle. That is what I love about Arrojo. I think I would prefer something a little stronger.

Now this is a nice cleanser.. It's a weird combination of a cream and gel. It's light and froths up into a nice creamy lather that rinses clean. I find that all my makeup is gone with the exception of the mascara.. My skin is soft and subtle, not dry at all. I am getting away with about a dime sized amount.. The best part is the delicious citrus scent, it's crisp and clean smelling no perfume lingering odor.. I am using it in the AM only and it's a great way to meet the day.. The price is a little hefty but if you skimp it'll last a long time..

Maria says: Agree with my friend Cityslicker above - a nice cleanser for sure. It does not dry out the skin, rinses clean and does remove even stubborn makeup. I think the Nutrimin is the star of the Arbonne line as I have had luck with most of the products in it. I too love the scent - very clean and citrusy. I have no complaints at all with this cleanser, though it is a wee pricey so if I had to choose I'd probably go with one of the other skincare items from this line.

Citrus is such a refreshing and clean scent and just happens to be one of my favorites. Yes, it is a bit pricey--but check out Amazon.com -- it is actually less than half price on that site. I find this Arbonne NutriMin C Renewing Gelee Creme, Hydrating Wash really works well and it left my skin feeling so clean, refreshed, and hydrated. . . all it promises. As usual I am very frugal with the product but - I am using it am and pm as it works so well and my skin is just enjoying it.

Review- Decleor Cleansing Milk

This "milk" may be suitable for all skin types, but it is an absolute Godsend for my dry face. You simply rub it on for a minute or so and wipe it off w/ cotton or a tissue and Whoosh! Away goes all your make-up, dirt and grime. It's super gentle on the skin, yet it gets off even mascara. If you wear a lot of liquid eyeliner like me, I suggest using an eye make-up remover first just to make it easier, but you don't neccesarily have to. It leaves a thin layer of moisture on your face after removal and there is no need to rinse. You might think that something like this would make one prone to breakouts, but not once have I woken up after using this the night before to a breakout situation. This has to be the gentlest way to clean your face. I like to follow it up with Decleor Tonifying Lotion which ensures I've wiped away all the impurities. I will be buying this cleanser again and again.

I had trouble sleeping last night, took a little nap, woke up to get ready for work and the first thought I had was, I can't wait to wash my face ! My skin totally freaks out all the time, and has been flaky and sad lately. After using this for 4 days, I am flakeless again and my skin has stopped being red and sad. It hasn't caused any breakouts yet, and my skin seems brighter after I use it. It's definitely suitable to use right before applying make up (regular foundation or mineral) with no caking/sliding off issues. I'm just going to come right out and say it - KH Professional Cleansing Cream is probably the BEST cleanser I have used in all of my 30...cough - okay 40 something years. I was extremely skeptical - the vaseline-like texture, etc....but once I got the hang of it - wowza. I warm my fingers with warm water, squeeze a little more than a pea size amount in my palm, then gently massage all over my face - gently pressing around the temples, under the nose, etc - and then I take a baby washcloth (these are fabulous - not just for little wee ones! They're a perfect size, very gentle on the skin..I usually buy a package of six at Wallyworld Carters, Gerber - it doesn't matter, but I digress) and then wash off. My face feels so clean - not dry, just clean and very soft. When I wash my face at night, this is the first cleanser that I don't feel I have to add a moisturizer after cleansing b/c my skin never feels dehydrated or tight. Seriously great product.

Review - Juice Organics Nourishing Cleanser

This is a light cream cleanser that is very easy to work with, the pump makes for simple am & pm use. I have found that the best way for me to use is with a cleansing glove I have. I use one pump and apply to the glove, this way I get the extra benefit of some light exfoliation and it helps me take off my eye makeup too. This is very gentle but does remove my makeup and it doesn't really bother my eyes unless I pop a dollop in one! It rinses quickly and leaves no residue behind. When I am done my face is soft and smooth - this isn't as squeaky clean feeling. The only gripe I have is that my skin can feel a tiny bit dried out and I think this is due to the weather more than the product. I think that for the price of $9.99 you get more than you pay for.. I think this is worth a look especially since it's organic, you really can't go wrong there!

Review - Liz Earle Young Skin Try-Me Kit

While I wouldn't say I have young skin, I definitely have the skin problems of a much younger woman. Overactive oil glands lead to a constant battle between me and pimples galore. So when I got the opportunity to try this Liz Earle Young Skin Try-Me Kit, I was stoked. It comes with a variety of products, so I'll talk about each one (in the order you use them).

Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser: This cleanser, a thick cream that you apply to dry skin, then "polish" off with the included muslin cloth, is fast becoming one of my favorites. It left my skin soft, but not oily, and I did see mild improvement in my problem skin after using it for about a week and a half (which is about as much as you can get out of the little tube in the try-me kit). It did claim to remove even "tough mascara," which I didn't see happening, but it's definitely a nice product for teens (or women whose faces think they are teens).

Deep Cleansing Mask: This mask might work. I could only use it twice, though, because the smell is so strong that after I used it (AND put the toner on AND put the lotion on), my face STILL smelled like rancid dirt. I really wish it didn't smell so bad, because the two times I used it, I liked the results, but it's just not worth it when there are other, lovely-smelling masks out there to use. The only plus: it comes with two sponges to sponge the mask off your face and provide an even deeper cleansing. Skip this one. Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer: This toner in a little spray bottle is, thankfully, wonderful-smelling. I don't really care for the spray toner thing generally, but this spray bottle worked well and was a much finer mist than others I've tried, so I liked it.

Skin Repair Light Combination/Oily Lotion: This lotion really is light and works well on oily skin. In the winter, it's so difficult to tread the line between "my face is so dry it's about to fall off" and "I need to do something to control this grease" when you have combination or oily skin. This lotion moisturizes just enough for the winter dryness to be under control, but not so much that it will overdo the grease.

Final Thoughts: The kit is well worth trying out if you've got combination, oily, or problem skin, even if you're not a teenager. But if you're buying full-size products, steer clear of the mask!
